Herman Udell Dalton

POCAHONTAS -- Herman Udell Dalton, 76, of Pocahontas died Thursday, Aug. 25, at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Pocahontas, he owned and operated D.L. Dalton and Son and retired as a hardware salesman. He was of the Church of Christ belief.

Survivors include his wife, Eula Mae King Dalton of the home; two sons, John Dalton of Pocahontas and David Dalton of Crossville, Tenn.; one daughter, Sandra Brewer of Myrtle, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Irene Dalton.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McNabb Funeral Home, with family and friends officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chad Brewer, Jeffery Dalton, Daniel Dalton, James Dalton, Jonathan Dalton, Joe Tarrantino and Troy Leland.

Honorary pallbearers will include John Washam, Willard Hulvey, Gene Elkins, Byron Futrell, Max Long, Bob Lamb, Clifton King and Danny King.

Visitation will be from from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lillian Frankenstein

WYNNE -- Lillian Frankenstein, 84, of Wynne died Thursday, Aug. 25, at CrossRidge Hospital in Wynne.

She was a retired schoolteacher for the Zelienople, Pa., school district.

Survivors include her son, John Frankenstein of Wynne; a daughter, Anneke Theis of Summit, N.J.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boylan Funeral Home of Zelienople. Burial will be in English Lutheran Church Cemetery at Zelienople. Woodard Funeral Service of Wynne is in charge of local arrangements.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Zelienople.

Jimmy Donald Grimes

LAKE CITY -- Jimmy Donald Grimes, 61, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 24, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

He worked for Lincoln Manufacturing Co. for 31 years and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Short Grimes; his mother, Lavada Grimes of Lake City; two daughters, Tammy Fletcher and Shelley Turner, both of Lake City; two sisters, Annetta Ray of Mississippi and Pam Womack of Lake City; a brother, Ken Grimes of Lake City; and four grandchildren, Cody Fletcher, Kasey Fletcher, Dillon Turner and Evan Turner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Limuel Grimes.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pine Log Cemetery, with Larry Owens officiating.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Eric Grimes, Chris Grimes, Chad Grimes, Greg Womack, Jeff Womack and Dean Ray.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Frances Hamrick

WYNNE -- Frances Hamrick, 85, of Wynne died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

A homemaker, she was born at Bald Knob and was a longtime resident of Cross County.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Dianne Hamrick of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Bobby Davis of Wynne; and a sister, Lois Wofford of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hamrick; a daughter, Jimmie Hamrick; her parents, Joseph and Maggie Davis; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne, with the Rev. Bob Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Cogbill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Annie Bell Johnson

BLYTHEVILLE -- Annie Bell Johnson, 50, of Blytheville died Monday, Aug. 22, at Great Rover Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born at Turrell, she was a homemaker and a member of New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she worked with the children's church.

Survivors include her parents, John Edward Rodgers of Memphis and Effie Palmore Rodgers of Blytheville; five sisters, Pearline Rodgers, Rosemary Rodgers and Barbara Staley, all of Chicago, Jackee Martin of Baltimore and Joyce Rodgers of Memphis; five brothers, John Rodgers Jr., Larry Thomas Rodgers, Roy Lee Rodgers and David Lee Rodgers, all of Blytheville, and Chris Rodgers of Memphis; and five stepsisters, Earnestine Thomas, Lottie Brooks, Catherine Gray, Carolyn Shelter and Flora Muhammed, all of Memphis.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Echols officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Blytheville. Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gaye Kee

JONESBORO -- Gaye Kee, 64, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at her home.

She lived most of her life in Jonesboro, and lived in St. Louis for 20 years before returning to Jonesboro. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Kee; a daughter, Melinda Kee of Seattle; three sons, Mark Kee of Seattle and Scott Kee and Steven Kee, both of Jonesboro; a sister, Wanda Rook of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Patrick Kee, Chastine Kee, Jesse Kee and Sarah Kee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lonie Bishop; three brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Verlon Wood officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Kee, Kevin Kee, Dave Kee, Cabern Kee, Shannon Kee and Dean Kee.

Alice Lipscomb

BLYTHEVILLE -- Alice Mickie Lipscomb, 85, of Blytheville died Wednesday, Aug. 24, at her home.

Born in Kentucky, she was a longtime Blytheville resident and a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was active in First United Methodist Women.

A graduate of Arkansas State University, she was a retired teacher named to "Who's Who in Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America." She was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma, voted the state's outstanding Beta Sigma Phi of the year, and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Lipscomb of Blytheville; two daughters, Linda Lou Moore of Paragould and Sara Blanz of Little Rock; a son, Robert Lipscomb of Jonesboro; and three grandchildren, Wesley Lipscomb, Ryan Lipscomb and Raymie Lipscomb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Monita Denham Michie, and her stepfather, D.C. Pafford.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Blytheville with the Rev. Jim Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.

Martha Martin

LAKE CITY -- Martha Frances Martin, 91, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 24, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Lake City, she lived in Detroit for 56 years before moving back to Lake City. She was a Baptist and a retired factory worker.

There are no immediate survivors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Mary Phillips Lewis; two sisters; and one brother.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Gregg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clarence Cornish officiating. Burial will follow in Bowman Cemetery near Lake City.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
