Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Dyer cemetery in Dyer.
He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Corey Atkinson of Ozark; a brother, Hayden Atkinson of the home; maternal grandfather, Dennis Harris of Ozark and Kevin Bonds of Dardanelle and maternal grandmother, Janine Bonds of Ozark; paternal grandparents, Chuck and Brenda Atkinson of Ozark; maternal great-grandparents, Bob and Wanda Sanford of Ozark and Earl and Louise Bonds of Ozark; paternal great-grandparents, Jim and Patricia Atkinson of Ozark and Jerry and Millie Lands of Ozark; maternal great-great-grandmother, Christine Harris of Ozark; paternal great-great-grandmother, Helen Ray of Paragould.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

OZARK — Charles Richard Geyer, 60, of Ozark died Monday, March 31, 2003, in Ozark. He was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Gentry, Okla. He was a retired fence builder, an Air Force veteran and a Baptist.
No services scheduled. The body was cremated under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters, Marian Lane of Idaho, Teresa Pogue of Lavaca, Susan Hankins of Gentry, Jeannie Taylor and Joni Ellison, both of Ozark; five sons, Richard Geyer and John Gragg, both of Idaho, Tony Mondragon of Oregon, Donald and Paul Mondragon, both of New Mexico; a sister, Cassie Roberts of Oklahoma; and 27 grandchildren.
Fred Sharrah
Fred Sharrah, 50, of Van Buren died Sunday, Monday, March 30, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a dairy worker.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall cemetery Arbor with burial at Hall cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; four daughters, Vickie and Felicia Sharrah, both of the home, Mary of Ada, Okla., and Anna of Dallas; two sons, Matthew and Joseph Sharrah, both of the home; his mother, Louise Blasingame of Van Buren; two sisters, Veneta Blasingame and Cathy Jones, both of Van Buren; seven brothers, Roy Sharrah of Cameron, Cordell, Rick, Troy and Leroy Sharrah, all of Van Buren, Larry Sharrah of Sapulpa, Okla., and Randy Casey of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his brothers.
Helen Miller
Helen S. Miller, 72, of Fort Smith died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Rose Hill, Kan. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and a long-time employee of McDonalds where she was a hostess.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Jackie Lynch of Clearfield, Utah, and Carole Osborne of AuSable Forks, N.Y.; two sons, Rick Miller of Galesburg, Ill., and Jim Miller of Hot Springs; a sister, Mary Derby of Burlington, Iowa; a brother, David Stuart of Hillsboro, Ore.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Jones, Gary Morgan, Leo Boozman, Marline Work, Ken Guinn and Randy Cook.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Earl McClure, 78, of Fort Smith died Monday, March 31, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was retired from maintenance and packaging at Rainbow Bakery and was of the Pentecost faith.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; three daughters, Carol Jones and Nancy McClure, both of Fort Smith and Patsy Sivage of Kibler; two sons, William and Earl McClure, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Marjorie Murr of Fort Smith; a brother, Charlie McClure of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Wanda Watts
Wanda Moore Watts, 80, of Fort Smith died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was born may 19, 1922, in Sebastian County. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She served ten years as a missionary of the North American Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, was a member of South Side Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher, a public school teacher in the area schools for many years. She was the widow of the Rev. Walter Watts.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Woodlawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sisters, Rosemary Looney of Charleston and Arlene O’Neal of Bella Vista; three brothers, Roger Moore of Westerville, Ohio, Trueman Moore of Barling and Don Moore of Little Rock; a stepdaughter, Grace Fletcher; two stepsons, Walter Watts Jr. and Bob Watts; and six stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.

MANSFIELD — Carol Avis Talton Barnes Joyce, 84, of Mansfield died Monday, March 31, 2003, in her home. She was the retired owner of Barnes Mercantile & Drug Store, a member of Mansfield First Baptist Church the Booneville Garden Club and the Eastern Star and a board member of Mansfield High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mansfield First Baptist Church with burial at Coop Prairie cemetery in Mansfield under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.
She is survived by her husband, Robert.
Pallbearers will be Jason Baggett, Gerald Elmore, Arnold Henson, Jack Livingston, David McClung and Autry Basham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mansfield First Baptist Church Senior Ladies Sunday school class.

Edward H. Douglas
Edward H. Douglas, 82, of Lavaca died Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 19, 1920, to John Douglas and Victoria McCray. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion, the First Baptist Church in Lavaca and a retired mechanic for Sebastian County. He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Douglas and a daughter, Edna Fay McKay.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Lavaca First Baptist Church with burial at Measles cemetery in Lavaca with the Rev. Grant Ethridge officiating under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha of the home; two stepdaughters, Angie Jones of Fort Smith and Louise Lovell of Cedarville; two stepsons, Bill Pierce of Arizona and Roger Pierce of Fort Smith; two sisters, Johnnie Williams and Joy Hobbs Birchfield, both of Lavaca; a brother, James O. Douglas of Roland; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mack and Randy Green, Johnny and Steve Helms, Kenny Hobbs and Jack Tate.

Robert Louis Fisher
Robert Louis Fisher, 84, of Clarksville, publisher of the Johnson County Graphic for 32 years, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Clarksville. He bought the Graphic in 1971 and later merged the Herald-Democrat with the Graphic in 1974. He had been associated with newspapers either as an editor or a publisher for 59 years. He bought the Mount Magazine Rural Record in 1946 in Danville and later changed the name to the newspaper to the current publication, the Yell County Record, where he was publisher for 23 years. He was a former managing editor of the Jacksonville Daily News and a senior editor at the Oklahoma Daily Times in Oklahoma City. He served as president of the Arkansas Press Association in 1955. He was honored as a 50-year recipient of the Press Association Distinguished Service Award. He served on the hospital boards in Yell and Johnson County for more 35 years and a former mayor of Danville.
He was born in McAlester, Okla., the son of the late Ward and Yvonne Fisher of Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Christene Fisher; two sons, David and Mary Fisher of Danville and Bobby Fisher of Plano, Texas; a sister, Betty and Ervin Roe of Oklahoma City; a brother, Dick Fisher of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Tamara Morris of Steam Boat Springs, Colo., and Teresa and Steve Osborne of Batesville; two grandsons, Davy and Shara Fisher of Fayetteville and Chris Fisher of Russellville; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret and Ron Wylie of Clarksville; a brother-in-law, Harvey and Sue George of Alma and Chestene and Mary George of Clarksville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hardwicke Funeral Home chapel in Clarksville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Clarksville conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robert Brown and the Rev. Dick Fisher. Burial will be at Oakland cemetery.
Virginia Ray Reed
Virginia Ray Reed, 83, of Mulberry died Monday, March 31, 2003, in her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1919, in Mulberry. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mulberry and a homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ellis Reed Sr., and her parents, Lester and Virgie Ray.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Mulberry with burial at New cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by two daughters, Janis Yother of Van Buren and Martha Harris of Oklahoma; a son, Troy E. Reed Jr. of Mulberry; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Clifford Lee Watson
Clifford Lee Watson, 86, of Wenatchee, Wash., formerly of Van Buren, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Wenatchee. He was a retired truck driver for ABF Freight Systems, Inc., a Van Buren constable for about 14 years, an avid fisherman and hunter. He dedicated his life to the Lord in 1983. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Margie Watson; a granddaughter, Angela Dawn Watson; a grandson, Charles Joseph Foley Jr., and three brothers, Bob, Clyde and Buck Watson.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Watson; a daughter, Glenda McClelland of Van Buren; a son, Dennis Watson of Van Buren; a stepdaughter, Joyce Stetner of Leavenworth, Wash.; a stepson, David Noble of Stanwood, Wash.; a sister, Geneva Wiley of Van Buren; a brother, Dutch Watson of Van Buren; three granddaughters, Leigh Ann Newman and Angela McCarty, both of Fort Smith, and Terri Foley of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a grandson, Coby Watson of Van Buren; two stepgranddaughters, Jean Snow and Joyce Watson, both of Van Buren; two stepgrandsons, Joe and Bryan McClelland, both of Van Buren; four great-grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren and several stepgreat-great-grandchildren, all of Van Buren, and Washington state.
Pallbearers will be Jerry, Charlie and Colby Watson, Larry Wiley, Kim and Brandon Newman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ralph W. Cluck
Ralph W. Cluck, 76, of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 29, 2003. He was born June 28, 1926, in Van Buren to G.W. “Wood” Cluck and Rowena Cluck. After spending his childhood in Van Buren, Fort Smith and California. He joined the Army and served in the Philippines and Japan, surviving the chaos of World War II. He dedicated his life to the peaceful pursuits of home and family. At age 20, he married
the lovely Billie Jean Avants of Booneville. Together they had three sons. He worked for more than 50 years in the glass business as owner of Standard Glass and shop foreman at Arkansas Glass and Mirror.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Delois Young. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Billie Cluck, three sons, Darrell of Monroe, La., Allen of Rudy and Rodney of Washington, D.C.; his three grandchildren, Jessica Watkins of Van Buren, Robbie Cluck of Shreveport, La., and Jerrod Cluck of Rudy; his two great-grandchildren, Hallie and Conner Watkins of Van Buren and his sister, Donna Jones of New Orleans.
A kindhearted and hard working man, he was a dedicated husband, proud father and playful grandpa. He entertained his family and friends with mischievous stories, a sly grin and warm chuckles.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith conducted by C.D. Peoples followed by internment at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
Serving as pallbearers are Robbie and Jarrod Cluck, Larry Vaught, Ashley Hartness, Bryan Loftin and Larry Redfern.
James Mason
CLARKSVILLE — James Evans “Jim” Mason, 80, of Clarksville died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Clarksville. He attended public and graduated from Clarksville High School, worked at the Fair Store until he was drafted in 1942 into the Air Force where he was a trainee San Bernardino Air Force Base to become a weather observer, was a salesman for a wholesale paper company, worked at Farmers Bank & Trust Company for 20 years and retired as head teller, was active in First United Methodist Church, served as Sunday school superintendent, chairman of evangelism committee, the youth director for three years, taught Friendship Sunday school class for many years, sang in the church choir, served as church treasurer from 1982 to 2002, chairman of Lay Witness Mission from 1970 to 1971 and was charter president of Methodist Men, president of Toastmasters International of Ontario, Calif., a lifetime member of Kiwanis Club in Clarksville, Mo-Ark District, Kiwanis International, past president of Clarksville Club, past lieutenant-governor of Division 20, Mo-Ark District, lifetime member of American Legion Bunch Walton Post No. 22 in Clarksville.
Funeral was Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Carolyn Mason of Jonesboro; three sons, Douglas Mason of Gallup, N.M., Carl Mason of Walnut Ridge and George Mason of Irvine, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Allen of Texarkana and Anna England of Ingelside, Texas; two brothers, Earl Mason of Clarksville and David Mason of Lamar; six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ben Phillips, Harold Johnson, Lee White, Keith Lewis, John Frost and Len Bradley.
Bertha Swift
Bertha Alyce Swift, 82, of Van Buren died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine Nebka Court No. 68, High Priestess 1989 to 1990 and past Worthy Matron, Desoto, Texas Chapter. She was the widow of George Swift.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel with burial at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, Tenn., under the direction of Sykes Funeral Home of Clarksville, Tenn. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Johnson of Van Buren; three sons, Hollis Scott of Fort Smith, John Swift of Portland, Ore., and Paul Swift of La Crescent, Minn.; a sister, Freda Powers of Jefferson City, Ill.; a brother, Otto Schupbach of Victoria, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. before funeral service Saturday.
