Margie Tremble
Margie Tremble, 52, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was a member of King Solomon Christian Center and an employee of Southern Steel and Wire.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at King Solomon Christian Center with burial at Washington cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Adams of Fort Smith; her mother, Elizabeth Putman of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Rosemary Rackard of Lawton and Dana Irby of Chickasha, Okla.; two brothers, William E. Craine of Fort Smith and Ciebert Jones Jr. of Chickasha; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Kinnard, Herbert Norwood Jr., Jerry Lee, Bobby Joe Lee, Jimmy Richardson, Lewis Ray Jones and Benny Taylor.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Myrtle Ann Evans, 90, of Mountainburg died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Mountainburg. She was a member of Locke Free Will Baptist Church, a homemaker and the widow of Claude Evans.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Locke Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Locke cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a son, Roy Gene Evans of Mountainburg; three grandchildren, Susan Evans and Dewayne Evans, both of Mountainburg, and Ron Evans of Van Buren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Beller, Jimmy Blaine, Bill Hale, Bobby and Jim Reinschmiedt and Darrell Willliams.

Don R. Ramsey, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 20202, in Paris. He was retired from the Logan County Road Department and worked in the oil fields for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Ramsey; and a sister, Reba Hamel.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Oakwood cemetery in Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ramsey of Paris; a daughter, Sandra Rice of Paris; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Guy and Tina Ramsey of Paris and Gary Don and Brenda Ramsey; his mother, Delilah “Dee” Needham Ramsey of Paris; two sisters, Willeen Stovall and Bobbi Ramondi, both of Paris; four grandchildren, Terra and Dustin Mayer and Jason and Miranda Rice; a great-grandchild, Devin Kane Rice; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Makya Watkins and Harley Maddison Krigbaum; and a special friend, Bill Smith.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Stinnett, Moon Mullings, Gary Fairbanks, Randy Shepard, Bill Walker and Larry Joe Nicholas.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Norma Alexander, 79, of Van Buren died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a long time resident of Van Buren and a member of Pioneer Crawford County family. She was the widow of the late Edward C. Alexander and a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fairview cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Ted Alexander of Springfield, Ill., Douglas Garfield Alexander of Lexington, Ky., and David Nelson Alexander of Van Buren; a sister, Sibyle Ervin of Joplin, Mo.; a brother, David Hicks of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Geoffrey Alexander of Fayetteville, Rachel Alexander of Fort Smith, Morgan and Gentry Alexander, both of Lexington, Ky.; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Mohr of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Morgan, Geoffrey, Hill, and Gentry Alexander, Phillip Morton, Daniel Rupp, Brooks Hicks and Jack Erwin.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Charles Kester
Charles Nelson Kester, 88, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a retired carpenter for Local No. 71, a member of the Assembly of God, the Sebastian Lodge No. 706 and an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Mary. K. Kester.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Chareleen Montgomery of Fort Smith; a sister, Della Fink of Milwaukee; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 8 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.

Bobby Dean
Bobby Joe “Smokey” Dean, 72, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. maintenance department, a member of the Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was the widower of Wanda Dean.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Steep Hill cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Bentz of Dallas; four sisters, Roberta Yermini of Eureka, Calif., Effie Campbell of Fort Smith, Joyce Fitts of Atlanta, Texas, and Doda Rye of Kileen, Texas; two brothers, Roland Dean of Jefferson, Texas, and M.A. Dean of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Roger Bentz, Joshua and Travis Robertson, Anthony White and Brandon Blake.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association Sebastian County Heart Unit, P.O. Box 1274, Fort Smith, AR 72902.

JoAnn Gustafson
SALLISAW — JoAnn Lusk Gustafon, 70, of Sallisaw died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Sallisaw.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; a daughter, Renee DiBiccari of Canton, Ga.; two sons, Robert Gustafson of Canton, Ga., and Richard Gustafson of Oklahoma City; a brother, Harold Lusk of Osage City, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Girl or Boy Scouts or Habitat for Humanity International.

Viola Moses
HACKETT — Viola Moses, 79, of Hackett died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Poteau. She was a retired factory worker and the widow of Louie Moses.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Hartford Memorial Park.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Louise Farrar of Hackett and Hazel Farley of Hartsville, Tenn.; a brother, Ray Rush of Pocola; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

John Owens
BOONEVILLE — John Sidney Owens, 76, of Booneville died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Rayville, La. He was retired from Global Marine Drilling Co., and was a farmer and merchant.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bayou Macon cemetery in Darnelle, La.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Delilah Parker of Cooper, Texas, Paula Skipper of Waverly, La., and Kathy Jacobs of Booneville; two sons, J. Sam Owens of Katy, Texas, and David G. Owens of Booneville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville.

Ethel Childs
MENA — Ethel Swan Wallace Childs, 89, of Mena died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in her home. She was born March 12, 1912, in Glover, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Bible Church and the widow of Cecil M. Wallace.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Grace Bible Church with burial at 2 p.m. at Valliant cemetery in Valliant, Okla. under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Carmeleta Wallace of Broken Bow, Okla.; two sons, LaRue and C. Doug Wallace, both of Sherman, Texas; a sister, Geri Gross of West Monroe, La.; a brother, Vanburen Swan of Kenal, Ala.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Bible Church Building Fund.

Mary Bibb
SALLISAW — May F. Bibb, 76, of Sallisaw, formerly of Fort Smith, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Vian. She was a former traveling investigator for J.C. Penney Stores, worked for the Pentagon during World War II and retired from OG&E in Fort Smith and was a Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City cemetery.
She is survived by four sisters, Melba Dudley of Houston, Dorothy Zabaldano of Fresno, Calif., Jessie Trigolet of Okmulgee, Okla. and Lola Lovern of Sallisaw.
Pallbearers will be Gene Ahlert, Bill Hess, Bob Reather, W.R. Knowles, Bill Kirk and Sam Norvell Jr.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dovie Gardenhire
SALLISAW — Dovie S. Gardenhire, 81, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Sallisaw. She was a member of the Holiness Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Brushy cemetery in Sallisaw.
She is survived by a son, Shelby Sells of Sallisaw; two stepdaughters, Sharon Johnson of Sallisaw and Shirley Reed of Talihina; a sister, Janice Risenhoover of Sallisaw; three grandchildren, Tony, Shelby and Teddy Sells, all of Sallisaw and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Thornell, Archie Risenhoover, Kendall Marley, Jackie Phillips, Charlie Woody and Bobby Morgan.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Ivo Jones
SUBIACO — Ivo Lee Jones, 84, of Subiaco died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, in Paris. He was owner and operator of Jones Stone Company and a member of Midway Assembly of god.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God in Midway with burial at Horne cemetery in Midway under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; a daughter, Shirley Ann Dirden of Russellville; two sons, Herbert and Mitchell Jones, both of Midway; three sisters, Irma Faye Lee of Paris, Lois Jones and Betty Perez, both of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Harold and Lowell Jones, both of Paris; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will Lindell and Larry Parsons, Curt and Darrell Varnell, Cleatus Harrison and Gordon Trusty.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Bible
CLARKSVILLE — Mary Frances Bible, 43, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in her home. She was born Jan. 29, 1958, in Clarksville. She a graduate of University of Ozarks with a bachelor of science degree, graduate of Webster University with master of business administration degree, she was a college professor having taught at University of Ozarks in Clarksville and Webster University and Westark College in Fort Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Cherry Street First Baptist Church in Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; a daughter, Lesley Bible of Clarksville; a son, Colin Bible of Fayetteville; her mother, Opal Huff Farris Cox of Clarksville; a sister, Anna Campbell of Clarksville.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carol Lucid
ROLAND — Carol E. Lucid, 61, of Roland died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, in Roland. She was a homemaker and a professional bookkeeper and was Catholic.
The body was cremated under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by three sons, Ralph Hawkins Jr. of Roland, Dale Lucid of Arkansas and Scott Michael Lucid of Phoenix; a sister, Roseanne Horner of Indianapolis; two brothers, Noel and William Lucid, both of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic charities.

Dorotha Brayton
HOT SPRINGS — Dorotha Dean Stone Brayton, of Hot Spring, formerly of Mena, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Hot Springs. She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Center Point in Howard County. She attended school in Nashville, Ark. and McAlester, Okla. She was the widow of Bill Brayton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Hatfield Church of Christ with burial at Center Point cemetery in Center Point. The body was cremated under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
She is survived by a son, William Charles “Chuck” Brayton of Tulsa; a sister, Evelyn Wood of McKinney, Texas; two grandchildren, Stephen Charles Brayton of Tulsa and Jodi Dean Brayton of Wagoner, Okla. and one great-grandchild.
