Francis Jones Terry, 45, of Van Buren died Sunday, March 17, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a secretary for Specialty Woodworks in Van Buren, of the Baptist faith and a member of the Bingo Club.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Cross cemetery in Greenwood.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; a daughter, Channing Henderson of Fort Smith; a son Robert Lee Wofford of Fort Smith; a sister, Kathy Crossno of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Terry, Brian Allred, Leonard Seheumack, Jason Henderson, Bob Wofford and Robert McDole.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Kenneth Cobb Sr.
Kenneth Woods Cobb Sr., 75, of Fort Smith died March 15, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired baker for David’s Pie Shop and a member of Barling United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Mary Jane Knox of Van Buren and Karen Kay Kelley of Fort Smith; a son, Kenneth Woods “Woody” Cobb Jr. of Van Buren; two sisters, Madge Underwood and Robbie Martinez of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Forest Park cemetery.

Harmon Cossey
Harmon Cossey, 85, of Coal Hill died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1917, in Newton County. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the DAV, the Johnson County Senior Center in Clarksville and the Baptist Church of Coal Hill, and a retired master carpenter.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Harmon is survived by his wife, Geneva; two sons, David C. Wilker Sr. of Waterford, Calif., Harmon Ray Cossey Sr. of Clovis, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Lukinovich of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Rosamund Cossey of Clarks; 13 grandchildren, David C. Wilker Jr., Lisa and Bryan Wilker, Carrie Ziedman, Bobbi Lukinovich, Denise Wilson, Jessica Lucas, Harmon Ray Cossey Jr., Laura and Tammy Cossey, Lillian Jean Cossey, Andrew Joseph Cossey II and Stacey Gunnels; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

OZARK — April Gilbert, 27, of Ozark died Friday, March 15, 2002, in an area nursing home. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial at St. Mary’s cemetery in Altus.
She is survived by her parents, Jimmy D. Gilbert of Huntsville and Judy Helmert of Ozark; maternal grandparents, Richard and Curly Leding of Altus; paternal grandparents, Joel and Evelyn Gilbert of Hogeye; a sister, Savannah L. Helmert of Ozark; and a brother, Joshua D. Gilbert of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Rickey D., David, Martin and Albert Leding, Clinton West and Sam Dorrough.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ozark Nursing Home staff.
Jimmie Boen
Jimmie Boen, 69, of Arkoma entered into rest Thursday, March 14, 2002, in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1932, in Boxley. Jimmie was a retired self-employed Core Dealer, Army veteran of the Korean War, a self-employed core dealer, a member of New Bethel Assembly of God in Fort Smith and a steel guitar builder.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anna of the home; daughter Debra Boen Trosper and husband Greg of Fort Smith; son Tim and wife Patti of Arkoma; foster son, Heip Luong of Fort Smith; three brothers, Levi, Doyle and Henry Marion, all of Muldrow; one sister, Mildred Gandy of Redfield; and five grandchildren, Amber, Christopher, Ethan, Allison and April.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday in New Bethel Assembly of God, 2201 North Eighth St. with burial at U. S. National cemetery, officiated by Reverend Clifton Daggs.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Keith, Keith Michael, William, Jack and Mark Boen. Honorary pallbearers will be guitar buddies.

Don England
Don England, 70, of Arkoma died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Arkoma. He was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Evansville, Ind., was of the Assembly of God Faith, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles, served in the U.S. Military for 24 1/2 years and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven England.
Graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie England of the home; a daughter, Anita and husband, Dwane Ahrens of Russellville; four stepsons, Allen Rinke of Fayetteville, Harold and wife, Cheryl Bishop, of Louisiana, Bruce and wife, Sherry Bishop, of Panama and Brian and wife, Dedre Bishop, of Barling; one grandchild, Lindsey Ahrens and seven stepgrandchildren, Brittney and Kevin Ahrens, Kara, Christina and Shannon Rinke, Jeff Bishop and Marisa Bishop.

Jimmy L. Davis
Jimmy L. Davis of Greenwood passed away at his home surrounded by his wife, family and friends Friday, March 15, 2002. He was born January 19, 1929, in Pampa Texas. He was of the Baptist faith, an Army veteran, serving four years during the Korean War in Okinawa and Germany. He retired from Arkansas Glass and Mirror in 1994 and was a member of VFW Post No. 6527. Jim loved and respected the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being in the woods. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew B. and Elva Davis and a brother, Billy Davis.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Duncan cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lucy of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Lisa Davis of Fort Smith; daughters and son-in-laws, Joni and Cleve Linam of Greenwood, Tracey and Tom Carter of Lake Tenkiller, Sharon and Dennis Perryman of Barling; a stepdaughter Rochelle Buttress of Shady Point, stepson and daughter-in-law, Bob and Lois Buttress of Tahlequah. Also surviving is a sister, Anna M. Davis of Waldron; nephew and his wife, Michael and Carla Douglas of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Ryan and Trent Davis, Stacy and James Carter, Angela Stuart, Jimmy, Melanie and Clinton Morgan and Bryce Ray Perryman; step-grandchildren Amanda and Chelsea Buttress, Chris and Michelle Liman, Vickie and Brian Partridge; great-grandchildren Braxton Carter and Savannah Morgan; step-great-grandchildren Maddie and Hunter LInam, Charles, Marshal, Leah and Rachel Partridge.

Dorothy Louise Pettijohn Hammack
Dorothy Louise Pettijohn Hammack of Fort Smith died March 14, 2002, at the home of her son Jim Pettijohn and his wife, Louise, after losing her battle with cancer. Known affectionately as “Diva” by her family and many friends, she has left an indelible mark on all those who knew and loved her. She is a retired receptionist for the Cooper Clinic and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for forty-eight years. Two of Dorothy’s greatest gifts were her natural friendliness and a neverending trust in her savior.
Services will be on March 18, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fort Smith Seventh-day Adventist Church with lifelong friend Gene Kuykendall officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Smith National cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Kate; two step-great-grandchildren, Daniel and Jonathon and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Brenan Pettijohn, Bob Roberts, Bill Roberts, Laudell Roberts, Orville Gill, Don Maxwell, Wilber Hammack Jr. and Leslie Hammack.

Kenneth Woods Cobb Sr., 75, of Fort Smith died March 15, 2002 in Fort Smith. He was a retired baker for David’s Pie Shop and a member of Barling United Methodist Church.

Harmon Cossey, longtime resident of Coal Hill passed away March 14, 2002, at a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1917 in Newton County. Mr. Cossey was a veteran of World War II, a member of the DAV and a longtime retired master carpenter and a very active member of the Johnson County Senior Center in Clarksville and the Baptist Church of Coal Hill.
Harmon is survived by his wife, Geneva; two sons, David C. Wilker Sr. of Waterford, Calif., Harmon Ray Cossey Sr. of Clovis, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Lukinovich of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Rosamund Cossey of Clarks; grandchildren, David C. He was very much loved and will be missed by many.

Payne Hamilton Percefull
Payne Hamilton Percefull, 85, of Charleston, a retired Army Captain and a retired instructor in the medical center at the University of Missouri Medical Center died Thursday, March 14, 2002 in Fort Smith.
Mr. Percefull was born Jan. 28, 1917 to Fred and Estelle Percefull in Scott. He was a graduate of Scott High School and Columbia College. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in 1936 and rose through the enlisted ranks to Master Sgt. and was commissioned in the Phillipines by General Douglas McArthur. He served in New Guinea and the Phillipine Islands during World War II, earning two battle stars in New Guinea and a bronze star in the Phillipines. He retired from the Army Dec. 31, 1958 and accepted a position as instructor in medical technology with the Department of Pathology, Medical Center, University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo.
Mr. Percefull’s most valued services were in the training of the First Phillipine Station Hospital personnel during World War II and setting up the clinical diagnostic laboratories and organizing the logistics for the Saigon Medical School during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Percefull was a Mason. He was raised in Sumpter Lodge No. 419, Hot Springs, Oct. 15, 1942. He transferred his membership to Acacia Lodge No. 602 in 1959 and was master of that lodge in 1979. He is also a member of Charleston Lodge No. 155 and the Scottish Rite Westark Valley of Fort Smith. He is a life member of the retired officer’s association, VFW and American Legion. He is a Methodist and a member of Charleston United Methodist Church, where he was a steward.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Parks cemetery in Charleston with full military honors under the direction of Smith Mortuary in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, June Percefull of the home; two daughters, Janis K. Percefull of Hot Springs and Sheila Peck of Paris; five sons, Lance D. Percefull of Aledo, Texas, Russell Iturba Percefull of Hot Springs, Richard D. Percefull of Camden, James G. Roach of Fairhope, Ala., and Paul G. McFerran of Charleston; a sister, Faye McCant of Memphis, Tenn. and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Rodney D. Percefull.
Pallbearers will be Harold Conners, Ronnie Merritt, Paul kIng, Bill Kelley, Gwendol Heathcott, Wayne Ayers, Chris P. Percefull and Lance Patrick Percefull.

Neil Boles
Neil Boles, 82, of Fort Smith entered into rest Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 19, 2002, in Dardanelle, the son of the late Seth and Gorden Albright Boles. Neil was a retired desk sergeant for the Civil Service, Air Force veteran of World War II and of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Sophia. Neil is survived by a son, Billy and wife, Joe Ann Bock of Pine Bluff; a brother, Keith Boles of California; brother-in-law, John E. Bock of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Kellie Bock Cohen and husband Jeff, Kim Bock Buck, Kraig Bock and Kirk Bock and wife, Lillian; and five great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Buck, Garrett and Carolin Bock and Katie Cohen. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Bearley cemetery in Dardanelle officiated by Monsignor John O’Donnell. Pallbearers will be Ray Baraclough, Joe Hart, Jeff Cohen, Kirk Bock, Paul Summerfield, Mark Jelks and Harold Autry. Arrangements under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Judy Sullivan Feller
Judy Sullivan Feller, 56, of Barling died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Paris. She was a member of Barling United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Weda Faye Sullivan.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with family committal at Coal Hill cemetery in Coal Hill.
She is survived by two sons, Wade and Marshal Fender, both of Fort Smith; her father, Bill Sullivan of Fort Smith; and a brother, Larry Sullivan of Fort Smith.

Mark Martin Vogelpohl
Mark Martin Vogelpohl, 55, of Paris died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Paris. He was a Vietnam veteran, a graduate of Subiaco Academy, owner of Mark’s Tractor, a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, former president of the Cathedral Club of St. Louis and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mass was Thursday in St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial at St. Benedict cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by a sister, Anette Knittig of Van Buren; and three brothers, John Vogelpohl of Little Rock, Sid Vogelpohl of Brandon, Miss., and Lambert Vogelpohl of London.
Pallbearers were Jerry Klaeger, Robert Valentine, Tony and Raymond Eckart, Jarrad Ward, Gordon “Butch” Baker, Eugene Jasper and W.J. “Slick” Willmann.
