Graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Pope cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Henninger of Mountainburg; a sister, Martha Hooper of Tyrone, Okla.; a brother, Bill Burkhardt of Mountainburg.
Melvin McCloud
Melvin McCloud, 91, of Fort Smith died Friday, March 8, 2002, in a local nursing home. He was a member of Mount Zion CME Church where he was a steward and trustee, he was a World War II veteran and a retired employee of Randall Ford Company.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Zion CME Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a cousin, Margaret Ferguson of Chicago.
Pallbearers will be Willie Adams, Trafton Thompson, Sam Stringer, William Lester, Jesse and Robert Ferguson.

Jann Womack, 56, of Springdale died Friday, March 8, 2002, in Springdale. She was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Paris. She was a sales person.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son, John Scott Womack of Springdale; her father and stepmother, Roger and Vera Casey of Fort Smith; two sisters, Kaye Cooper of Fort Smith and Lori Green of Bastrop, La.; two brothers, Alan and Kenny Wray of Fort Smith; and two grandchildren, Kara and Kristin Womack.
Leo Emil Schlaf
Leo Emil Schlaf, 72, of Fort Smith died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Little Rock. He was born July 17, 1929, in Fort Smith. He was a Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a retired auto mechanic and of the Catholic faith.
Mass will be 1 p.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a brother, Paul Schlaf of Fort Smith.

Irene Cecilia Udouj, 83, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was the owner of Sundridge Farms in Lavaca and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Anne Udouj of Fort Smith, Mary J. Udouj of Fort Smith and Ellen and husband, Walter Udouj Echols of Fort Smith; two sons, Ronald Udouj and wife, Jane of Fort Smith and Phillip Udouj and wife, Susie of Fort Smith; two sisters, Margaret Van Alstine of Vancoover, Wash. and Lucy Steitz of Carrollton, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He husband Herman J. Udouj preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Dick, Mike, Danny and Joe Udouj, David and Mike Griggs.

Mark Martin Vogelpohl, 55, of Paris died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Paris. He was a Vietnam veteran, a graduate of Subiaco Academy and the owner of Mark’s Tractor, a member St. Benedict Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mass will be 10 a.m. today in St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial at St. Benedict cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by a sister, Anette Knittig of Van Buren; three brothers, John Vogelpohl of Little Rock, Sid Vogelpohl of Brandon, Mich. and Lambert Vogelpohl of London.

Georgia J. Riddle
Georgia J. Riddle, 87, of Van Buren died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a retired employee of Hayes & King and a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren and a supporter of City Heights United Methodist Church in Van Buren. She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1934, her daughter Joe Ellen graduated from Van Buren High School in 1954, granddaughter Becky Miller graduated from Van Buren High School in 1974 and her great-grandson Aaron Miller graduated from Van Buren High School in 1994. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orvie A. Riddle who died in 1985.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with private burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by a daughter, Joe Ellen and her husband, Ray Jones of Van Buren; two sisters, Almeda Tudor of Bakersfield, Calif. and Jane Warren of Collinsville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Becky and her husband, Randy Miller of Van Buren and Joe Ray and his wife, Becky Jones of Grayson, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Anna Miller, Aaron and his wife, Sherry Miller and Brandon Jones and two great-great-grandchildren, Ray and Andru Miller.

Ethan Allen Cleveland, 86, of Magazine died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in Magazine. He was a member of Old Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Army veteran of World War II, a Royal Arch Mason and a member of Blocker Lodge of Booneville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Old Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Magazine with burial at Ellington cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Vestal Cleveland of the home; two sons, Rep. Herschel Cleveland of Paris and Dr. Elton Cleveland of Little Rock; two sisters, Flossie Garner and Marie Barnes, both of Magazine; a brother, Emmett Cleveland of Murfeesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jared, Justin, Jodiane and Jadyn Cleveland; two great-grandchildren, Crason and Callen Cleveland.

Wayne “Eton” Edington, 64, of Hartford died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired construction worker, a member of Laborers Union Local No. 107 in Fort Smith and a Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ethel Edington and a brother-in-law, Allen Ward.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Hartford.
He is survived by four sisters, Pat and Wayne Wilson of Grapevine, Texas, June and Lanny Roberts of Texarkana, Texas, Wanda Ward of Duncanville, Texas and Hazel and Del Gregory of Heavener; also survived by 15 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Joe B. Green, 77, of Arkoma died Friday, March 22, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired employee of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Co. and a member of the Albert Pike Christian Church, the VFW, the American Legion and the Spiro Masonic Lodge and served in the Army Air Corps.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, LaDonna Clevenger of Prairie Grove; a brother, Bobby Green of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Lora Carver of Shady Point and Eddie Dunn of Spiro; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor and Anna Carver, all of Shady Point.

Daniel “Danny” McLaughlin, 21, of Fort Smith entered into rest Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born June 27, 1980, in Fort Smith, the son of James and Sharon Holcomb McLaughlin. He was a front end specialist for Jim Grizzle Tire, a graduate of Southside High School and an avid artist and music lover. He was preceded in death by his father James “Jim” McLaughlin. Danny is survived by his mother, Sharon McLaughlin of Fort Smith; a sister, Heather McLaughlin of Fort Smith; a half sister, Janet Garcia of Fort Smith; and maternal grandmother, Doris Holcomb of Fort Smith. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Oak cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Huggins, John Morris, Alaric Cole, Howard Funkhouser, Jason Frisby and Morgan McDaniel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Helen Clyma Nelson, 80, of Fort Smith died Thursday, March 21, 2002, in Tulsa. She was a homemaker and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church since 1951.
A private graveside service at Oak cemetery will be held before the memorial service. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. today in Grand Avenue Baptist Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Nelson of Fort Smith; three daughters, Gail and husband Paul Thorson of Kiev, Ukraine, and Minta Jane and husband David Bowers and Glenda and husband Robert Kraus, all of Fort Smith; a brother, Russell Clyma of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Johnathan Thorson of Nashville, Tenn., Martin and Nathaniel Thorson of Kiev and Grant Bowers of Fort Smith; and one great-grandchild.

WALDRON — Naomi Gail Cash, 62, of Waldron died Friday, March 22, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. She attended Waldron First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Waldron First Baptist Church with burial at Coaldale cemetery in Coaldale under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Evans Lavaca and Colleen Cash of Fort Smith; three sons, Curt of Fort Smith, J.C. of Waldron and Terril of Statesville, Ohio; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Curtis of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; three brothers, Randall Curtis of Orofino, Idaho, Merrell Curtis of Great Falls, Mont., and Jim Curtis of Boise, Idaho; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Billy of Greenwood and James of Corinth, Texas; his mother, Tina Benson of Paris; a sister, Martha Bradley of Paris; a brother, Doyle Benson of Paris; and one grandchild.

BOONEVILLE — Harold Bradley Cahoon, 75, of Booneville died Thursday, March 21, 2002, in his home. He was employed at local car dealerships for 25 years, was retired from Citizens Bank of Booneville and was a Navy veteran of World War II, co-owner of Ben Franklin-Otasco Store in Booneville, a member and past secretary treasurer of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville, a past member of Booneville Lion’s Club, a past Boy Scout leader, and he worked with the Booneville Food Pantry.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today in Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville with burial at Carolan cemetery in Booneville under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; a daughter, Kathy Wisley of Booneville; and one grandchild, Sarah Nelms of Russellville.
Pallbearers will be Sunday school class members Herman Adair, Ron Maxwell, Lew Powell, James Hopkins, Joe Norton and Bob Blansett.

Jeff M. Loux, 85, of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 23, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired employee of Randall Ford, a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and the men’s Bible class, a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Belle Pointe Lodge and the Scottish Rite Bodies.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Rea; a son, Larry and wife Judy Loux of Fort Smith; a brother, Olen Hurshel Loux and wife Reba of Hackett; and several nieces and nephews.
