Josephine R. Edwards, 89, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Luke Lutheran Church. The body will be cremated following the service and interred at a later date in Princeton, Ill, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Edwards; one son, Bill of Fort Smith; one brother, Frank Giordano of Peru, Ill; and two grandchildren, Kristine and David Williams.

Jerry Eugene Stevenson, 55, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at King Solomon Baptist Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his companion, Stella Jean Parks; four daughters, Lavonna and Lalonna Releford, Tiffany Parks and Pamela Jenkins, all of Fort Smith; five sons, Ricky and Anthony Releford and Anthony, Gerry and Titus Parks, all of Fort Smith; his parents, John Daniel and Essie Stevenson of Fort Smith; four sisters, Patricia Wheatt of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Margaret Stevenson, Paula Releford and Anntionette Lofton, all of Fort Smith; six brothers, John Edward and Daniel Paul, both of Portland, Ore., Samuel and Michael, both of Fort Smith, Jarvis of Detroit, Mich., and Malcolm of Vian; and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Willie Polk, Jerome Lofton, Willie Adams Jr., Patrick and Lemuel Parks Jr. and Renee Rodriquez.
The family will receive friends at 1014 N. 37th St.

Inez Jordan, 77, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in her home. She was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church with burial at Fort Coffee cemetery in Fort Coffee, Okla., under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary at Fort Smith.
She is survived by four daughters, Ethel Heller of Flint, Mich., Vera Billings of Tacoma, Wash., and Van Ferguson and Linda Jordan, both of Fort Smith; three sons, Carl Jordan Jr. of Carson, Calif., Amos Jordan of Arlington, Texas, and Ivan Jordan of North Richland Hills, Texas; five grandchildren, Angela Scaife, Alyssa and Andrea Ferguson, Amber Jordan and James Billings Jr.; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be deacons of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rebecca Circle of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.

SALLISAW Verla Marie Webster, 78, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, in Muskogee, Okla.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Akins cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, J.C. Walton of Boise, Idaho, and Grady Walton of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Bonita of Austin, Texas; one brother, Arvil Burcham of Portland, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

CLARKSVILLE John Conrad Rofkahr, 88, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, in Clarksville. He was a retired farmer, coal miner and plant worker. He was a member of New Life Christian Center in Clarksville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Shady Grove cemetery in Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne; one daughter, Jane Winsell Paramore of Clarksville; two sisters, Annie Dahlem and Marie Lingar, both of Hartman; two brothers, Frank and Clarence Rofkahr, both of Hartman; three grandchildren, Jon Winsell of New York City, Kevin Winsell of Oklahoma City and Kimberly Winsell Mullins of Claremore, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.

MANSFIELD James Parish, 66, of Mansfield died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, in his home. He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Freida; one daughter, Kathy Spillman of Wilmington, Del.; two sons, Bill of Mansfield and Danny of Senatobia, Miss.; one sister, Jane Robinson of Morrilton; three brothers, John L. WALDRON Pete Smallwood, 95, of Waldron died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was a retired farmer and sawmill worker and attended Assembly of God.

He is survived by one daughter, Marcille Blair of Waldron; one brother, Troy Smallwood of Watson; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

HAGARVILLE Goald Eugene Skaggs, 87, of Hagarville died Friday Nov. 3, 2000, in Lamar. He was a retired sawmiller and farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; six daughters, Edra King of Jonesville, N.C., Geneva Morland and Robbin Clark both of Lamar, Linda K. Clayborn of Clarksville, Debbie Bjorgum of Hagarville and Donna Roddy of Barling; three sons, James of Knoxville, Kenneth of Wynne and Chester of Lamar; one sister, Pearl Beebe of Cornville, Ariz.; one brother, Olen Skaggs of Bella Vista; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Eugene Faulkner of Clarksville and Gary Faulkner of Hayward, Calif.; two sisters, Alean Gross of Clarksville and Lavone Marcurm of Des Arc; one brother, Carrol McGuire of Des Arc; and one grandson, Mark Faulkner of Hayward.

WATSON, Okla. Curtis Going, 68, of Watson died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Oklahoma. He was a logger and served in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion and Kullituklo Presbyterian Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in the Kullituklo Presbyterian Church with burial at Watson cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Fox of Dierks and 10 nieces and nephews.

ALMA J.C. Kosier 68, of Alma died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was retired from Allen Canning.

Alford Wayne Dillard, 58, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran. He was a member of Northside United Pentecostal Church.

Dr. J.F. Kelsey, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in Houston. He practiced medicine in Fort Smith with Obstetric and Gynecology Associates from 1953-86. He was a member and served on the advisory board of First United Methodist Church. A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, he was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was a World War II and Korean Army veteran. He was a member of Alpha Omega Honorary Medical Society, American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Society; was past president of the Sebastian County Medical Society, Southeastern Obstetrical and Gynecological Society; and was fellow and past chair of the Arkansas Section of the American College of Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. He was an associate clinical professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He was a board member for Mount Magazine Girl Scout Council, Boy Scouts, the Salvation Army, Sparks Medical Center Foundation and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with private burial under the direction of Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Margo Roberts of Dodge Center, Minn., and Ellen Jacobi of Grand Forks, N.D.; one son, Dr. Fred C. Kelsey of USAF, Fairfax, Va.; and eight grandchildren.
