Nellie Hulse, 82, of Van Buren died Friday, March 2, 2001, in a Van Buren hospital. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at White Oak Community Church in the Wheeler community with burial to follow at White Oak cemetery in Wheeler under the direction of Nelson’s Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Hulse Sr. of Fayetteville and Denver Mayes of Van Buren; three sisters, Sue Morgan of Van Buren, Shirley Cook of Arlington, Texas, and Norma Rose Scott of Ontario, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. — Patricia Siegel Genochio, 76, of Santa Clara, Calif., formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, in Santa Clara. She was born Jan. 9, 1925 in Wichita, Kan.
Memorial mass was held Feb. 24 at St. Justin’s Catholic Church in Santa Clara with burial in Santa Clara under the direction of Lima Santa Clara Mortuary.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; three children, David, Beni and Mary Jane, all of California; and four grandchildren, Christi, David, Robert and Joseph Genochio.

CLARKSVILLE — Eloise Marie Z. Wine, 82, of Clarksville died March 3, 2001 in Clarksville. She was a Baptist and was retired from the Singer Co.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ozone Baptist Church with burial at Russell cemetery in Ozone under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Emerson Dyer Wine; three sisters, Sharon Mitchell and Pat Cook, both of Ozone, and Sandy Bridger of Elkhart, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

SALLISAW — Bonnie Hensley Honeycutt, 89, of Sallisaw died Friday March 2, 2001, in Sallisaw.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Marble City cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters, Bernice Poindexter of Stilwell, Okla., and Mae Jean Doodle of Fort Cobb, Okla.; a brother, Joe Hensley of Sallisaw; 10 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie and Nathan Honeycutt, Jamie Croley, Tommy Taylor and Keith and Ryan Rudick.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday.

POTEAU — Bobby C. Hall, 76, of Poteau died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church, a lifetime member of World War II Subvets, a Korean War Veteran and owner of Bob’s Napa Parts for about 15 years.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Oakland cemetery in Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Oma Jean; a son, James of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Friesen of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Bill Hall of Eugene, Ore.; and a grandson, Jason Friesen of Fort Worth.

Della Irene Huff, infant daughter of Billy and Lisa Huff of Van Buren, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in her home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, James Ray Huff of Fort Smith; her maternal grandparents, Ray and Linda Parks of Van Buren; her paternal grandparents, James and Linda Huff of Fort Smith; her maternal great-grandparents, Sylvia and Junior Parks of Van Buren and Elizabeth and Dave Schwartz of Hammond, Ind.; and her paternal great-grandparents, Alice Schlecht and Louis and Helen Keller, all of Lilly, Penn.

SPIRO — Curtis Spencer Solomon, 92, of Spiro died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in his home. He was born Sept. 7, 1908, in Rio Grande City, Texas. He was a farmer.

He is survived by four daughters, Edna Hovey of Fanshawe, Dorotha James of Cameron, Mildred Davis of Park Hill, Okla., and Louise Jordan of Spiro; four sons, Curtis, E.J. and Joe, all of Spiro, and Harold of Cameron; three sisters, Mildred Christopher, Velma Lee Smith and Charlene Gray, all of Tulsa; three brothers, Milard, Walter and J.C., all of Tulsa; 38 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great grandchildren.

Cintha L. Crawford, 89, of Fort Smith, formerly of Mena, died Friday, March 2, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was born June 27, 1911, in Big Fork. She was a homemaker and was retired from Polk County Memorial Hospital, where she worked in the housekeeping department. She attended the First Assembly of God in Mena and was the widow of Guy Crawford.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with burial at Board Camp cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Imogene Warren of Odessa, Texas, Doris June Bruce of Arlington, Texas, and Linda Darlene Woody of Bonanza; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Bruce, Ronnie Bussey, Johnny Looper, Christopher Sherrod and Kenneth and Tyrel Warren.

MENA — Alvina Schreiner of Mena, 94, formerly of Dallas, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Mena. She was born Oct. 30, 1906, in Mena. She was a commercial fashion artist for Wolf Brothers Department Stores of Dallas and a member of Southwest Artists, numerous art organizations in Dallas and the First United Methodist Church of Mena. She was the widow of Norman M. Schreiner.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by four nieces, Betty Ann Reed of Clarksville, Doris Johnson of Atlanta, Texas, Mary Alice Head of Mena and Marsha Watts of Hot Springs; and one sister-in-law, Ethel Strauss of Mena.

PARIS — Kenneth Dewey Bobo, 80, of Paris died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired roughneck with Big Chief Drilling, a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Assembly of God in Paris.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in the First Assembly of God Church in Paris with burial at Oakhill cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Effie; two sons, Robert of Ratcliff and Don of Cedar Ridge, Colo.; one sister, Juanita Stringham of Palestine, Texas; one brother, Cecil of Aldene, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Joe Patterson, Paul Drake, Chris and Adam Bobo, Kendal Wingfield and James Thomas.

LONNIE GLOSSON
SEARCY — Lonnie Glosson, 93, of Searcy died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Searcy. He was born Feb. 14, 1908, in Judsonia. He was a a world-famous harmonica player and songwriter who was known for his “talking harmonica” act. He co-wrote the hit “Why Don’t You Haul Off and Love Me” and wrote “Matthew 24,” which has been recorded by Kitty Wells and George Jones. He performed at the Grand Ole Opry, appeared on the television show “Hee-Haw” and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He lived in the Fort Smith area for many years. He was a member of the Assembly of God and was the widower of Margaret Ruth Glosson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy with burial at Kensett cemetery.
He is survived by a very special friend, Marcelle Pry of Searcy; three daughters, Dorothy Floyd of San Antonio, Sally Ann Gross of Fort Smith and Mary Phipps of Chama, New Mexico; three sons, Walter Hugh Glosson of Jacksonville, George Glosson of Cameron and Lonnie Junior Glosson of Waco, Texas; two sisters, Louise Hill of Beebe and Esther Lewis of El Dorado; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

PARIS — Ralph DeSolon Scrudder, 90, of Paris died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in Paris. He was a retired salesman for Oklahoma Tire & Supply Co. (OTASCO), a member of the First Assembly of God in Paris and a trustee of Ellsworth cemetery in Subiaco.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Assembly of God in Paris with burial at Ellsworth cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Avelene Bingaman Scrudder; one brother, Dow Scrudder of Hartshorne, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles and Lyndell Mosley, Jimmy Scrudder, Alvin and Gordon Trusty and Gary Gray.

SALLISAW — Ernest Hutchcraft of Sallisaw died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Sallisaw. He was a self-employed carpenter and an Army veteran of World War II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and received a World War II Victory Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, an American Theater Ribbon, an EAME Theater Ribbon, three Bronze Stars and an Army of Occupation Ribbon.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Akins Assembly of God with burial at Akins cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Wiseheart of Sallisaw; one sister, Freda Bumgardner of Apple Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren, Sunny Wiseheart, Penny Thompson and Tammy Webb Perkins; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; two sons, Billy Ross of Sallisaw and Bruce Ross of Muldrow; four sisters, Allie Harness of Gans, Jonnie Cole, Lucy Monday and Dorothy Walters, all of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

HEAVENER — Harold “Dutch” Shupert, 72, of Heavener died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Poteau. He was a lifelong resident of Heavener, a member of the Heavener Christian Chursh, the Heavener Masonic Lodge, the Chamber of Commerce and the Heavener City Council. He was the owner and operator of Shuperts Service Station until 1999.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with burial at Memorial Park in Heavener.
He is survived by his companion, Jean Sedore of Heavener; one daughter, Katrina Sparks of Norman, Okla.; one son, Kenny Shupert of Central City; one sister, Irma Russell of Medford, Ore.; two brothers, Calvin Shupert of Sacramento, Calif., and James “Bo” Shupert of Heavener; and three grandchildren.
