Rhonda Jean Campbell
Rhonda Jean Campbell, 49, of St. Clair, Mo., died on Nov. 18, 2006, at her home in St. Clair.
She was born April 24, 1957, in Piggott, and was the daughter of Billy and Mae Meade Romines Williams.
She was united in marriage to William Campbell on Aug. 30, 1973, and to this union, two children were born.
She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Williams; grandparents, Homer and Myrtle Meade, and Wayne and Violet Williams.
She is survived by her husband, William Campbell of St. Clair; two children, Billy Campbell and wife Angie, of St. Clair, Melinda Clark and husband, Terry, of Union; four grandchildren, Beau Campbell, Austin Campbell, Ashley Dothage, Seth Clark; one new grandchild on the way; mother, Mae Romines of Piggott; two sisters, Trina Hackworth and Shelby Beck, both of Piggott; nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Nov. 22, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott, with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in the Piggott Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Campbell, Tracy Dawson, Jason Hackworth, Terry Clark, Ronnie Dixon, and Lambert Williams. Hoggard and Sons Funeral of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
Clyde Edward "Swede" Cronover
Clyde Edward Cronover "Swede", died on Nov. 24, 2006, peacefully at home in Greenway surrounded by family. He was born July 19, 1926, in South Haven, Mich.
Clyde retired from Pontiac Motors in 1974 and loved playing drums with several groups, specializing in big band music. He will be remembered most for his love of music, his big heart, his great sense of humor, faith, and true love of life. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruth (Olson) Cronover; one son, Richard Cronover; and one brother, Charles Cronover.
He is survived by his wife, "Irish;" six children, Diane Landers and Dave Cronover of Arizona, and Susan Kent of Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, Troy, Brandy, Aaron, Joshua, Jacob, Randi, Jessie, Jonathan, Nicole, Kyle, Jeanelle, and John; five great-grandchildren, Khelil, Charly, Zoe, Ronnie, and Julia; one sister, Elaine Coulter; and one brother, Bob Cronover; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Greenway. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
Thelda E. (Parrish) Moody
Thelda E. (Parrish) Moody, 73, of Machesney Park, died at 3:55 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006 in her home. Born June 11, 1933 in Piggott, the daughter of Furman E. and Elsie (Morrow) Parrish. She was employed with Warner Lambert as a machine operator, retiring in 1995. Member of First Assembly of God. Thelda was a loving, devoted, giving, caring and faithful Christian always helping others. She loved to work in her garden and walk in the yard.
Thelda is survived by her children, Sherry (fiancée Kenneth Farmer) Bakke and Gwen Moody; grandchildren, Christopher Estle Parrish, Timothy, Wesley and Heidi Hryszczuk; loving sister-in-law, Laverne Parrish; brother, Kenneth parrish. Predeceased by parents.
Funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 24, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, with Pastor Dale Anderson officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to service.
Bettie Stow Herring
Bettie Stow Herring, 67, of Peach Orchard, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in the Rector Health Care in Rector.
She was born April 23, 1935, in Franklin, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lester Fredrick and Eva Elizabeth Ridenger Thorn.
She was united in marriage to James Weldon Stow, he preceded her in death in 1978. She was united in marriage to Herrill Herring, he also preceded her in death in 1999.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Tina and Elizabeth Stow; one son, James Weldon Stow Jr.; one brother, Lester Thorn Jr.; and one sister, Evelyn Brewer.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Hancock and husband, Laney, of Corning, and Dr. Angela Roberts and husband, Joseph, of Montego Bay, Jamaica; four grandchildren, April Huston of Mexico, Maine, Jamie Roberts of Nashville, and Sam Hancock and Randle Hancock, both of Corning; one great-granddaughter, Sabrina Sullivan; three sisters, Delores Fauteux of Orlando, Fla., Margaret Hurtt of Dyersburg, and Uretta Broughton of Frenchtown, Montana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel will Bill Goode officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery
in Crockett. Pallbearers were Donald Grissom, Clovis Grissom, Danny Daughhette, Jim Daughhette, Tony Bass and Raymond Morrison. Honorary Pallbearers were her grandsons. Haggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
Mary Belle Johnson
Mary Belle Johnson, 97, of Piggott, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1905, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Leathea Brogdon Vaughn. She was united in marriage to Rossie Johnson on Feb. 13, 1924. To this union three sons were born.
