Barbara Ann Smith Morgan
Mrs. Barbara Ann Smith Morgan, age 67, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, June 11, 2012, In the De Queen Medical Center.
She was born to Dolphus and Opal Pruitt Smith in Nevada County, on November 11, 1944. She was a member of the Chruch of Christ, and was retired from food service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Andy Smith and Denver Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Nicki Watts of Lawton, Okla., and Sandy Callihan of Norman, Oklahoma, two sisters, Bonnie Daniels of Hot Springs, Ark. and Chris Wesson of De Queen, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

James Alan Simmons
Mr. James Alan Simmons, age 59, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born July 4, 1952 in De Queen. He was a truck driver and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lockesburg.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, C.O. "Pud" and Bobbie Joyce Shinn Simmons and one son, Levi Alan Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Webb Simmons; two daughters, Lisa Simmons of Lockesburg and Crystal Molina of Athens, Arkansas; one brother, Ronnie Simmons also of Lockesburg; five grandchildren, Shandra Curtis, Austin Curtis, Logan Quinn, Triston Simmons and Kason Halter; one brother-in-law, Wendell Webb; five nephews, Jessie Simmons, Jacky Simmons, Clifton Simmons, Matthew Webb and Kendall Webb and one niece, Hope Webb.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Simmons will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Coulter Memorial Cemetery
in Lockesburg with Rev. Jack Gilliland officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12th at the funeral home.

Barbara Ann Moreland, age 59, a resident of Arlington, Texas, died June 9th, 2012 at Heritage Oaks.
She was born February 12, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by her daughter DaVina Elease Moreland of Arlington, Tx, son Aaron Denard Moreland of Lockesburg, Ar.; Two brothers William David Moreland of Compton, Ca and Hugh Ivan Moreland of Ashdown, Ar.; One sister Deborah Sue Williams of Ashdown, Ar.
Funeral Services for Barbara Ann Moreland will be held at 2:30 Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ De Queen, Ar. with Supt. E.A. Edwards officiating. burial will follow at Sunset Acres in Horatio, Ar.
Visitation will Friday, June 15, 2012 5-7pm at Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ in De Queen, Ar.
Brooklyn Rae Pavioni
Brooklyn Rae Pavioni, infant daughter of Brett and Erin Pavioni, was born at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock on May 7, 2012 and passed away the same day.
She is survived by her grandparents, Jimmy Bice of De Queen, Lewis and Rhonda Barringer of De Queen, and Blake Pavioni and Susan Pavioni of Sprinfield, Nebraska; one uncle, Justin Bice of De Queen; three aunts, Maegan Pavioni of Santa Rosa, California, and Jenna and Shelby Pavioni of Springfield, Nebraska;
as well as many great uncles, aunts, and cousins. No funeral services will be held.
John D Bartlett
Mr. John D Bartlett, age 87, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the Brookewood Rehab/Nursing Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
He was born July 13, 1924 in Horatio. He was a Lab Technician and X-Ray Tech for the De Queen Clinic and Hospital for over 42 years. He was a life long guitar, banjo and mandolin picker. He loved playing music, going to Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival, camping, and attending church. He was a World War II vet, having served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a retired member of De Queen Lions Club. He never met a stranger!
Mr. Bartlett was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Laura Exa Litchford Bartlett; his wife, Freida Sue Poole Bartlett; his brothers, James O. Bartlett, Ed Bartlett and Fay Bartlett; his sister, Jane Bartlett Frady and step-daughter, Kay Mc Kaughan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Vaughn Bartlett; his daughters, Kimberley Ann Bartlett Huckaby and Leslie Kay Bartlett Neeland; one sister, Mazie Bartlett Doss; step-children, Cheri and Ronnie Stephens, Donnie and La Donna Vaughn, and Pam Tidwell;
his grandchildren, Chad and Laurie Stephens, Vaughn and Tabby Stephens, Jennifer and Joey Roth, Jackie Vaughn, Scarlett Brown, Misty and Brad Kinnet, April DeLeon, Will and Erin Gray, Kyle Gray, and Tony and Janice Neeland; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bartlett will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Romine, John Gutierrez and Ralph Staggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
Bradley Morgan Conaster
Bradley M. Conaster, 35, of Broken Bow, passed away June 5, 2012 at Broken Bow. He was born December 6, 1976 in De Queen, Arkansas, the son of George and Tommye Fay Key Conaster.
Bradley had lived in McCurtain County for most of his life and had worked for Tysons. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed music and fishing. He and Rebecca Campbell were united in marriage on October 8, 2001 in De Queen. Bradley was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rebecca of the home; son, Aiden Bane Conaster; daughter, Haley Morgan Conaster both of the home; brothers, Klint Conaster and wife Debbie of De Queen, AR, Chad Andrews and wife Kristin of Ashdown, AR, and Kelly Green of Hope, AR: sister, Pam Andrews David of De Queen; grandmother, Sylvia Key also of De Queen and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

James C. Sims
Mr. James C. Sims, age 82, of De Queen, Arkansas, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at his home.
He was born on November 18, 1929 in Horatio, Arkansas. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser and he was a Baptist.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Miles Sims and his parents, Virgil and Martha Adeline Lee Sims.
He is survived by one daughter, Kay Short of De Queen, three sisters, Clara Williamson of Horatio, Martha Lou Westbrook of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Letha Lankford of Houston, Texas; one brother, Aubrey Sims of Ashdown, Arkansas; two grandsons, Rod Short of De Queen and Todd Short and wife Traci of Lockesburg, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Sissy and husband Chris Liggin of De Queen; three great grandchildren, Landri and Lynli Liggin and Kayden Short.
Graveside Services for Mr. Sims will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the Clear Creek Cemetery
with Bro. Wesley Blankenship officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Leroy Jones
Mr. Leroy Jones, age 63, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in the De Queen Medical Center.
He was born to Paul Murl and Cynthia Mary Young Jones at Bunch, Oklahoma on November 30, 1948.
Mr. Jones was retired from the Sevier County Road Department with 24 years service, and was a member of the State Line Baptist Church, CerroGordo, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half brother, Earl Gene Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Mitchell Jones of De Queen, one son, LeRoy “Chief” Jones of Greenville, Texas, three step-daughters, Freda Joyce Brake of De Queen, Teresa Ann Carrilo of El Paso, Texas, and Sheila Diane Pogue of De Queen, two sisters, Nadine Higgins of Jefferson, Texas, and Georgia Lee Martin of Stilwell, Okla.; his step-mother, Orene Jones of De Queen, three half brothers, Murl Jones of Ogden, Arkansas, Matt Jones of Broken Bow, Okla. and Anthony Jones of De Queen, eight half sisters, Wanda Fagan of Mena, Ark, Sue Ashcraft of Hatton Gap, Ark, Aleta Turner of Grannis, Maleta Bruce, Carolyn Jones, Christy Alonso and Kayla Alonso all of De Queen, and Elena Martinez of Searcy, Ark., nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as other family members.
Graveside funeral Services for Mr. LeRoy Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9th in the CerroGordo Cemetery, with Rev. George Vorhease officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home On Friday, June 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
William David Miller
Mr. William David Miller, age 85, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died Monday, June 4, 2012 in the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma.
He was born August 16, 1926 in Foreman, Arkansas. He was in construction and was a Baptist.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Walter William and Lillie Laster Miller and two sons, David and Tommy Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Ann Miller, two sons, Charles " Billy" Miller of Foreman and Johnny Miller of Broken Bow: two daughters, Shirley Scott of Commerce, Texas and Lillie Jane LaFlore of Hugo, Oklahoma; one sister, Juanita Kale of Marshall, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Miller will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with the Rev. Shane Haarmeyer officiating.
