Mary Alice Hackworth
Mary Alice Hackworth, age 66, of Cove, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her home.
She was born December 2, 1944 in Shooten Creek, North Carolina to the late Gordon Loftis and the late Ethel Willamson Loftis. She was united in marriage to Jerry Hackworth. Mary was a truck driver by profession but her greatest joy was her family who will miss her greatly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Ethel Loftis, 4 sisters, Linda, Katherin, Evelin, and Beatrice, and a great-grandson, Rylie James.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Crystal Hill Cemetery
at Wickes with Brother Steve Bradley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be general.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilcher, Raymond Wilcher, John Tidwell, Mitchell Tidwell, Douglas Turner, and Joe Glen. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Rose.
Thelma Jean Hutchison Kelley
Mrs. Thelma Jean Hutchison Kelley, age 87, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at her home.
She was born to Andrew Jackson and Shara Ann Oxford Kelley at Palmetto, Florida on July 23, 1924. She was a former employee of Sears & Roebuck, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Kelley of De Queen, a son, Chuck Miller of Lake Isabella, California, and Dorothy Abalmis of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as other family members.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Thelma Chrystine Parsons
Thelma Parsons, age 90, a resident of Russellville, AR, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 in St. Mary's hospital in Russellville, AR.
She was born on December 13, 1920 in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a homemaker & attended Gumlong Fellowship Church in Russellville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Allie Wayson, her husband of 69 years, Conner Parsons, as well as two sisters, Polly Galvin of Ft. Worth, TX and Betty Mikolasik of Loomis, CA.
She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Ann Hendrix of Russellville, AR, formerly of DeQueen, one son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Judy Parsons of Shallowater, TX, two granddaughters, Michelle Covington and husband Alan of Russellville, and Tawni Parsons of Lubbock, TX, as well as six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 11th under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home in Post, Texas, burial to follow in the Terrace Cemetery
of Post, Texas.
Richard Allen Sharp
Mr. Richard Allen Sharp, age 74, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born January 3, 1937 in Lockesburg. He was a retired NDT Technician for Lone Star Steel, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Daingerfield, Texas.
Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, John Tyre and Mildred Crawford Sharp.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Harrison Sharp of Lockesburg; one daughter, Melissa Sharp of Tyler, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lynette Sharp of Hallsville, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Lynn Sharp of Lockesburg and two grandchildren, Jarrod and Kaitlyn Sharp.
Funeral Services for Mr. Sharp will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 in the Bellville Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Gilliland officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellville Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20th at the funeral home.
Farris Vee Counts Sharp
Mrs. Farris Vee Counts Sharp, age 88, a resident of Texarkana, TX died Sunday, July 17, 2011 in Texarkana.
She was born February 28, 1923 in Umpire, AR. She was the last surviving child of John and Martha Counts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dierks Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jimmie Ross Sharp, and her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Sharp Drake and husband, James Drake of Texarkana, TX; one granddaughter, Andrea Drake-Stephan and her husband, Eric of Rockdale, TX; one grandson, Stuart Brian Drake of Slidell, LA; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Victoria and Elizabeth Drake, all of Hartwell, GA.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sharp will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011in the Davis Cemetery, near Umpire, AR with Rev. Barbara Gilbert officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the funeral home in Dierks.

Cloyes Mildred Honea Volentine
Mrs. Cloyes Mildred Honea Volentine, age 84, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, in the Brookwood Nursing and Rehab.
She was born to Burnice S. and Denver J. Whitten Honea at Hope, Arkansas, on May 5, 1927. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of De Queen, and the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, coin collecting, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Harold Honea, a son, Dr. David Michael Volentine, and her husband of over 64 years, Horace J. M. Volentine.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Jones of De Queen, two sisters, Maurine Green of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Wava Lee Honea of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and a sister-in-law, Carol Honea of De Queen, six grandchildren, Yvonne Gail Gants, Kristel Lea Williams, Clay Allen Witherspoon, Heather Michelle Scott, Dustin Honea Volentine, and Whitten Wright Volentine, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cloyes Volentine will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Hebert officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Jody Williams, Clay Witherspoon, Randy Honea, Rick Volentine, Robbie Rogers, and Lawrence Allen Wishard.
Conrad Lee Chadburn
Mr. Conrad Lee Chadburn, age 82, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, July 15, 2011 in the Brookewood Nursing and Rehab Center in De Queen.
He was born November 7, 1928 in Utah. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser and a former employee of the De Queen School District. Mr. Chadburn was retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in De Queen.
Mr. Chadburn was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Jetta Chadburn.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Chadburn of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Larry Coleman of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren Lindsey Vaughan and husband, Clefton of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jordan Coleman and wife Katie of Little Rock, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Susannah Vaughan, and one sister-in-law, Christine Buck of Batesville, Arkansas.
Funeral Services for Mr. Chadburn will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 in the First United Methodist Church in De Queen with Rev. David Williams officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19th at the Oaklawn Cemetery
in Batesville, Arkansas, under the Direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17th at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in De Queen.
