Charlie Ray Slaton
Charlie Ray Slaton, age 90, a resident of Lockesburg, AR died Monday, July 26, 2010 in Texarkana, TX. He was born April 21, 1920 in the Red Colony Community to George W. and Carlee Ray Slaton. He was a retired truck patch farmer and poultry and cattle farmer for over 58 years. In the early 1970s his family won farm family of the year. He also served on the board of directors of the Sevier County Farmers Cooperative for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Dave, Dol Boy and Jim; his sisters, Kate Smith, Daisy Zachry, JoAnn Keaster, Eve Baber and Florence Zachry.
He is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Alise Baber Slaton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sharron Slaton and Dudley and Vivian Slaton, all of Lockesburg; one daughter, Frankie Jean Slaton also of Lockesburg; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Slaton will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the Milford Union Church. Burial will follow in the Wrights Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
Lillian Bonnell Davis
Lillian Bonnell Davis, age 51, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Davis was born December 6, 1958 at Mena, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Jenell Rogers Davis.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Davis of Killeen, Texas and Seth Crow of Foreman, Arkansas; her father, Leonard Davis of Foreman; two sisters, Lawanda Knighten and Lynnell Cleghorn both of Foreman; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Davis will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
Herbert Lyn Routh
Mr. Herbert Lyn Routh, age 82, a resident of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and former resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 22nd in the Wadley Regional Medical Center. He was born to Earl and Hattie Mae Cummings Routh at Redland, Oklahoma, on November 13, 1927. He was retired from the D&E TO&E Railroad, and was a member of the Assembly of God. He enjoyed riding horses, and team roping. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Geraldine Bryan Routh of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Routh, and Jerry and Sharron Routh all of De Queen, three daughters and sons-in-law, Gwenda and Jesse Lacefield of Broken Bow, Oklahoma Brenda and Ray Butler of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Nancy Davis of Plano, Texas, a sister, Dorothy Jamison of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Chris Lacefield, Bradley Lacefield, Brandon Routh, Brent Butler, Kevin Butler, Stephanie Smith, Robbie Rehkoph, and K’leen Thompson; seven great-grandchildren, Savannah and Autumn Richards, Darrell Smith, Brailea Routh, Anna Beth Smith, Jonathan and Jordan Rehkoph, a special friend, Ruger “Buckshot” Richbourg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert Routh will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Neil Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery, De Queen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Foy “Kitty” Holden Pedley
Mrs. Foy “Kitty” Pedley went to meet the Lord on July 21st, 2010. Kitty was preceded in death by her husband George and all her siblings including her twin sister Floy who passed away recently.
Kitty is survived by her two daughters, Gigi McRae and her husband Herman of Foreman, AR, Kathe Lundhagen and her husband Wayne of Golden, CO and four grandchildren, Steven McRae of Little Rock, AR, Angel McRae of Ashdown, AR, Scott Lundhagen of New York State, and Christopher Lundhagen of Denver, CO and many dear friends. Beloved Mother, Nana, Grandmother and Friend.
Kitty was born Foy Holden in 1915 to L.D. and Leona Isibella Holden in Burkburnett, TX; grew up near Moyer’s OK and then lived on her farm near Gillham, AR for 70 plus years.
Her birthday was celebrated July 11th with family and friends.
Kitty loved her family, her friends, her home, her pets, gardening, fishing and painting. During the years when Kitty could still garden, a visitor always left with vegetables, flower cuttings and a fresh bouquet of flowers. This gave her great pleasure. Her paintings were shared with family and friends and will always be treasured by those who have them.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Pedley will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Dan Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery
under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Allie Frances Billingsley
Allie Frances Billingsley, age 85, a resident of Little River Club, Winthrop, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home.
She was a teacher at Haworth, OK, a member of the Little River Club and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Crawford and Nina Lewis Billingsley.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Garrett Billingsley of Oklahoma City, OK; a granddaughter, Masea Billingsley of Lockesburg, AR; a sister, Margaret Billingsley Merritt of Kilgore, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Billingsley will be held 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010 in the Billingsley Cemetery
at Billingsley Corner, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
Richard Lee Dickinson
Mr. Richard (Dick) Lee Dickinson, age 74, a resident of Danbury, Texas died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1936 in Horatio, Arkansas and was a Navy Veteran.
Mr. Dickinson was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Gray, Dorothy Dickey Dickinson and sister Celeste Dickinson.
He is survived by his four children, Richard Wade Dickinson, Gordon Bret Clermont Dickinson, Elizabeth Renee Moore and Bo Cody Dickinson; three sisters, Sherry Gray Pankonien, Dorothy Kay Fedro and Gigi Dickinson; six grandchildren, Liz M. Moore, James E. Moore, Richard Tyler Dickinson, Ian Gray Dickinson, Evan Dickinson, Skyler Cody Dickinson; aunt Flo Dickinson and uncle Aut and aunt Bet Horne; his lifelong friend Jay Gamble and two close friends, Dorothy Louise McQuarrie and Ann Dickinson.
Dick Dickinson was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Massie Daniel Liggan, Jr
Mr. Massie Daniel Liggan, Jr. age 83, a resident of Newhope, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.He was born July 6, 1927 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. He was a bricklayer and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Liggan was preceded in death by his parents, Massie Daniel Liggan, Sr. and Virginia Atkins Liggan; three brothers, Larry Liggan, Jerry Liggan and Greg Liggan; two sisters, Birdie "Pinkie" Neff Pusker and JoAnn Liggan.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Lee Lester Liggan of Newhope; two sons, Gary D. Liggan of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Samuel E. Turner of Newhope; two daughters, Bea Bea Hedstrom of Naples, Florida and Becky Reed and husband, Tim of Newhope; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Turner of Newhope, Travis Turner and fiancé Amy Semmler of Dierks, Arkansas, Meegan Roger and Dan of Denver, Colorado, Gretchen Grant and Jeff of Naples, Florida, Marlee Stapp, Karley Stapp, Mickenzie Stapp, McKenzie Reed, Turner Reed, Kloe Knighten all of Newhope and Summer Liggan of Santa Fe, New Mexico; four great-grandchildren, Kason Dougan of Old Washington, Arkansas, Reese Roger and Henry Roger both of Denver, Colorado and Seth Cole Liggan of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dorcus Marie Bush
Mrs. Dorcus Marie Bush, age 91, a resident of Winthrop, AR died Monday, July 12, 2010 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born June 20, 1919 in Winthrop. She was a homemaker and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Winthrop. Mrs. Bush loved gardening, working in the yard and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucy Dossett Garrett; her husband, Hubert Lee Bush; one daughter, Cathy Lee Bush and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Marie (Doyle) Whisenhunt of Foreman, AR and Bettie Louise Eastridge of Dover, AR; ten grandchildren, Douglas Eastridge of Clinton, AR, Bobby Eastridge of Jerusalem, AR, Melissa Stanley of Morrilton, AR, Christine Davis of Jonesborough, TN, Chuck Davis of Foreman, AR, Dave Davis of Ashdown, AR, Penny Gardner of Foreman, AR, Mike Whisenhunt of Arkinda, AR, Danny Whisenhunt of Sacramento, CA and Mitch Whisenhunt of New Braunfels, TX; 12 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bush will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 in the Community of Christ Church in Winthrop. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Lola Mae Rainbolt Williams Cook
Mrs. Lola Mae Rainbolt Williams Cook, age 90, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Monday, July 12, 2010 in the De Queen Medical Center, De Queen.
She was born in Texas, on July 19, 1919. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and was a retired accountant, and music teacher. She loved music and was an accomplished musician, and enjoyed flowers.
She is survived by special friends, Joyce and Clyde McCown of De Queen, Angie Long, and Cloe and Ed Hawthorne all of De Queen.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Cook are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joyce McCown and Rev. Billy Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday, July 14th
