Arthnea “Tina” Marie Martin
Arthnea “Tina” Marie Martin, age 43, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, August 20th at her home.
She was born May 17, 1967 at Springfield, Ohio, and was the daughter of Norman L. and Virginia Ann Alexander Martin.
She attended the Chapel Hill Baptist Church, and enjoyed crafts, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia Martin of Salem, Arkansas, a brother, William Martin of Salem, one nephew, Michael Martin of Harrison, Arkansas, and two nieces, Virginia Williams of Salem, Arkansas, and Fara Cheever of West Plains, Missouri.
Cremation is entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, August 24th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E. A. Edwards officiating.
Michael David “Mike” Bingham
Mr. Michael David “Mike” Bingham, age 62, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, August 20th in the De Queen Medical Center.
He was born to Thomas Wilkins and Agnes Faye Hamby Bingham at Amarillo, Texas. He was a veteran of the Vietname War, having served in the U. S. Navy. He attended the Faith and Deliverance Church, and enjoyed bicycling, singing, and archeology.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Kenny Williams of Foreman, Ark.; one niece, Angela Lands of Douglasville, Georgia, two nephews, Aaron Harrison of Louisville, Kentucky, and Matthew David Harrison of Texarkana, Arkansas, two great- nephews, Layne Williams and Trevor Williams both of Foreman, Ark. and a number of aunts and uncles.
Cremation was entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, and a memorial service for Mike Bingham will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24th in the Faith and Deliverance Church with Pastor Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery.
Durl Milton Taylor
Mr. Durl Milton Taylor, age 81, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1929 in De Queen. He served in the U.S Army for 3 years, worked for Western Auto for 25 years, and was the owner of Taylor Small Engine Service in De Queen from which he retired in 1988. He was a rancher and a member of the First Baptist Church in De Queen.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. and Lucretia Stubbs Taylor; his first wife, Katherine Dinwiddie Taylor; four brothers, Burl, Earl, Murl and Rubert, and one sister, Ruby.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Taylor of De Queen; one son, Geary Taylor of Howe, Oklahoma, ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Fred and Jill Wetzel of Woodbridge, Virginia, Rick and Jena Fowler and Matt and Sarah Hooper, all of De Queen; 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Savannah, Jonathan, Jacob, Dakota, Hannah, and Noah and 3 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ella and Caleb.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2010 in the Redmen Cemetery
with Rev. Charles Hebert officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Joe Roark of Grannis, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 in De Queen.

Nora Deane Payne Williamson
Nora Deane Payne Williamson, age 87, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Dierks Health and Rehab. She was born April 17, 1923 in Centerpoint, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Dierks Church of Christ. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Jack and Helen Rooks Payne; one son, William Michael Williamson; three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, William Loyd Williamson of Dierks; one brother, H.J. Payne of Hope, Arkansas; two grandsons, Mark Williamson of Texarkana and Matthew Williamson of Dierks and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Williamson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Centerpoint Cemetery
with Kelly Brown, minister officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19th at the funeral home in Dierks.
Layne Eugene Frachiseur
Layne Eugene Frachiseur, 6 day old son of Dustin Eugene and Laura Elizabeth Suggs Frachiseur, residents of De Queen, died Wednesday, August 18th in the Christus St. Michael Hospital. He was born Thursday, August 12, 2010 in Texarkana.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Jack and LaFonda McCoy of Horatio, Ricky and Bobbi Frachiseur of Nashville, and Jimmy and Debbie Suggs of Nashville, his great-grandparents, Del and Fredia Litchford of Horatio, Howard and Nadine Frachiseur of Gillham, Jerry and Linda Hill of Nashville, and Lottie Suggs of Horatio, his aunts and uncles, Stacy Frachiseur of Nashville, Cassey and Todd Morris of Nashville, and Jennifer and Emmett Ray of Horatio, as well as cousins.
Funeral Services for Layne Frachiseur are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home and will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19th in the Old Center Church with Bro. Jerry Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center Cemetery, Horatio, Ark
Ollie Belle Green Davis
Ollie Belle Green Davis was born March 4, 1935, in the King Ryder Community in Little River County, Arkansas. She passed from this life after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 75 on August 15, 2010, in Texarkana, Texas with her family by her side. Born the fourth of five children to Arthur and Iona Wright Green, Ollie Belle learned the importance of hard work and faith in God. She attended the Winthrop School before her family moved to Foreman, where she graduated from Foreman High School and was a member of the class of 1954. At Foreman, she was a fierce forward on the Lady Gator basketball team, as well as cheerleader. She was widely respected and known for her beauty and upbeat personality, which led to her being voted Homecoming Queen by the Gator Football team.
On July 11, 1954, she married the love of her life Charles Andrew Davis. Together they raised three children while farming cotton and cattle in the Richmond bottoms. A constant provider for her family, she worked on the P and Q lines at Lone Star Ammunition Plant among other things. During Charles’s lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis, she never left his side and was a tireless caregiver until his death in 1982. After his passing, she continued the dream and further expanded the family farm. One of her favorite things was going down to the “Big Herd” to see her crossbred Brahma cows. Later in life, she partnered with her son and ventured into the chicken house business. Known as “Memmaw” to her seven grandchildren, she was their biggest fan and supporter. She was an excellent cook and took pride in caring for her family. Auntie Ollie Belle’s house was the center and place to gather for holidays and family get-togethers. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ashdown, and an avid NBA and Razorback fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as, one sister, Bama Weed Turner.
She was so proud of her family and left to cherish her memory is one son, Charles Andrew “Chuck” Davis Jr. and wife, Joan; two daughters, Doris Denise “Dee Dee” Ward and husband, Steve, and Deana Jo Akins and husband, Mike, all of Ashdown. She loved each of her grandchildren, Charles Andrew “Chas” Davis III and wife, Tisha, Tyler Ernest Davis, Dugan Davis Ward, Will Cleveland Ward, Andrea Denise Akins, Michael Alan Akins II, and Wesley Andrew Akins, all of Ashdown. Also, left to cherish her memory are her older sisters, Thelma Jo Owen of Ashdown, and Geraldine Vann of Gillham, Arkansas, her baby brother, Billy Ray Green of Foreman, Ark., and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved so much.
Honored to be her pallbearers will be her grandsons: Chas, Tyler, Dugan, Will, Michael, and Drew.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, in the auditorium of the Church of Christ, Ashdown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Church of Christ with David Formby, John Hall and Virgil Romine officiating. Burial was in the Ashdown Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the home located at 739 Highway 32 West.
Lee Edward Lemons
Mr. Lee Edward Lemons, affectionately called, “Big Lee”, age 75, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home.
He was born to Elijah Lee and Mary Madeline McKee Lemons at Fittstown, Oklahoma, on August 3, 1935. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U. S. Army. He was an employee of Pilgrim’s Pride Hatchery, retiring in 2001 with 23 years service, and was pastor of the Word of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his step-father, Doug Lyon.
He is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Clista Lowry Lemons of Horatio, three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Kim Lemons of Simms, Texas, Opie and Trina Lemons, and Lee and Kim Lemons, all of Horatio, Ark.; one daughter and a son-in-law, Chinna and Gary Jones of Umpire, Arkansas, his mother, Mary Lyon of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbra and Buster Brown of Lovington, NM, and Judy and Johnny Slusser of Kilgore, Texas, a sister-in-law, Lucille and Max Cowart of Umpire, Arkansas, seventeen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Lee Lemons will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10:00 at Old Center Cemetery
in Horatio, Ar. Rev. Keith Jordan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Nel Elizabeth Leeper
Nel Elizabeth Leeper, age 82, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 in the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana.
She was born December 20, 1927 in De Queen. She was a retired photographer and studied under Ansel Adams.
Miss Leeper was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Cadenza W. Leeper.
She is survived by her brother, Charles K. Leeper and his wife Miki Leeper of Middletown, Virginia; two nephews, David S. Leeper and his wife Rene Leeper and their son Christopher Leeper of Hickory, North Carolina, Gregory Leeper of Los Angeles, California; and one niece, Rebecca Leeper Sargent and her husband Andrew Sargent and their daughters Sylvia and Miranda Sargent of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services for Miss Leeper will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in the First Baptist Church in De Queen with Rev. Charles Hebert officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Dwan Ann White Koelzer
Mrs. Dwan Ann White Koelzer, age 69, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at her home.
She was born September 30, 1940 in New Hope, Arkansas. She was a member of the St. Barbara's Catholic Church in De Queen.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Fidelis "Phill" Koelzer; one son, Mike Koelzer; and three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Leslie Tallant, Phyllis and Randy Bradley and Carolyn and Paul Maurer all of De Queen; one sister and brother-in-law, Jodie and Elmer Reynolds of Springdale, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass for Mrs. Koelzer will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in the St. Barbara Catholic church with Father Salvador Marquez-Munoz officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at 6:00p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00p.m. Tuesday, August 10th at the funeral home.
Paul E. Nuttall
Mr. Paul E. Nuttall, age 79, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Sunday, August 8, 2010, in the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born December 14, 1930, in Caney, Oklahoma. He was a self employed welder and U.S. Army engineer, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks.
Mr. Nuttall was preceded in death by his parents, William Cleveland and Maude Lee Ramey Nuttall. He is survived by his wife, Olive Hall Nuttall of Dierks; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Carol Nuttall of Dierks; one brother, William Garrett Nuttall of Claude, Texas; two grandsons, Tye Nuttall and his wife Nikki of Magnolia, Arkansas and Caleb Nuttall of Dierks.
