He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie S. Fancher of Montevallo; one son, Thomas M. (Doris) Fancher Jr.; one sister, Paul Gray Ozley; three grandchildren, Myron, Paul and Bobbie Jean Fancher; and one great-grandchild, Casey Fancher.
Service was March 20 at Rockco's Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo, the Revs. Mike Ratliff, Buddy Freeman and Annette Sullivan presiding. Burial was in Montevallo Cemetery, Rockco's Funeral Home directing. The family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo, The American Village or the Shelby County Humane Society.

Paul H. Gore, 77, of Columbiana died March 22, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Powderly, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Daphene B. Gore of Columbiana; three sons, Paul Ronnie Gore of Seattle, Wash., Gary Russell Gore of Fayeville, Ga., and Allen Ramsey Gore of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren, Bryant and Brandy, Heather and Rusty and Danielle and Kristan; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Gore of Gastonia, N.C.
Graveside service will be March 24 at Pinelawn Gardens, the Rev. Charles Stroud and Charles Powell presiding and Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing.

Lisa Adams Harris, 39, of Montgomery died March 13, 2004. She was born July 16, 1964.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Harris of Montgomery; her children, Meagan and Dylan Adams of Atmore; her stepchildren, Tamara and Justin Harris of Pell City; her parents, Douglas and Sandra Cox of Westover; her sister, Tracy Davis of Birmingham; and her grandparents, James E. and Nora L. Cox of Westover.

Elbert "Buck" Powell, 83, of Tuscaloosa died March 16, 2004. He was a native of Shelby County and a veteran of the United States Army and Navy.
He is survived by his children, Elbert (Doris) Powell Jr. and Terry Dawn Horton; his brother, Bonnie (Carrie) Powell; his grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren.
Service was March 20 at the New Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Calera, pastor Roman C. Nix and the Rev. Rogers L. White presiding. Burial followed in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, Westside Funeral Home in Calera directing.

Carolyn Faye Price, 54, of Clanton died March 19, 2004, in Columbiana.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Shelton of Clanton; her daughter, Tina Marie Bishop of Montevallo; two sons, Garry Wayne Smith of Clanton and Randy Keith (Kim) Majors of Alabaster; one sister, Mae Long of Columbiana; two brothers, Danny and Timmy Lucas, both of Montevallo; three grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Hanna Marcum and John Majors; one niece, Rhonda Carter; one great-niece, Ashley Motes; and two great-nephews, Trevor and Jeremy Carter.
Service was March 22 at Rockco's Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo, Brother Waymond Strickland presiding. Burial followed in Oak Mountain Cemetery in Pelham, Rockco's directing.

Infant Kaitlyn Paige Shores, daughter of Justin and Kelly Pickett Shores of Montevallo died Friday, March 19, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Robert and Barbara Capps and George and Ester Shores.
She is survived by her parents; her brother, Robert Baxley Shores of Montevallo; grandparents, James "Buster" and Vicki Pickett of Pea Ridge and Wayne and Donna Shores of Alabaster; her great-grandparents, James "Jimmy" and Janice Pickett of Pea Ridge and Robert and Martha Parris of Greenville, S.C.; her aunts, Ellen and Amy Pickett, both of Pea Ridge and Shannon (David) Howell of Jemison; her uncle, Matt (Shelly) Shores of Calera; her cousins, Danny, Patrick and Parris Howell, all of Jemison and Logan Shores of Calera; and many other family members.
Graveside service was March 23 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, the Rev. Neal Bearden Jr. presiding and Charter Funeral Home in Calera directing.
Robert Lee Smith

Robert Lee Smith, 68, of Montevallo died March 21, 2004, in Alabaster. He was retired after 31 years as a machinist with Stockham Valve & Fitting. He was an ordained deacon at Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Montevallo. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter with West Shelby Fire & Rescue.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Smith; two daughters, Donna Joiner and Pam Horton; two sons, Michael Smith and Steve Smith; three sisters, Della Howell, Jean Swanney and Jean Stone; four brothers, Charles Smith, Wayne Smith, Eddie Smith and David Smith; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Service will be March 24 at 2 p.m. at Rockco's Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo, the Revs. Shelby Batson and Jim Parker presiding. Burial will follow in Moore's Cemetery, Rockco's directing.
Walter Harding Walton

Walter Harding Walton, 82, of Pelham died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 9, 1921, in Bessemer. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp and was an ordained church of God minister.
He was a lifetime member of the West Gate-Cyrus Lodge 520 in Detroit, Mich., where he lived for a number of years and was active for many years in the Birmingham Metro York Rite Bodies, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J. USA. He was also a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter D. and Mattie Cooper Walton; and a nephew, Frank Davis Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Stella D. Walton; two daughters, Pamela (M.B.) Parker and Tammy W. Walker; two step-children, Billy (Vickie) Shanahan and Patti (James Jr.) Davis; five grandchildren, Micah Walker, Bryan (Michele) Shanahan, James S. Davis III, Joseph (Bre) Davis and Paige Shanahan; one great-grandchild, Jordan Shanahan; four brothers, the Rev. Andy (Thelma) Walton Sr., Gary C. (Mary) Walton, Kenneth (Nellie) Walton and Wade D. Walton; five sisters, Dorothy Kemp, Earline (Algie Sr.) Davis, Robbie (Clarence) Hawkins, Sue (Leonard) Shaw and Nancy (Preston) Brasher; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service was March 23 at Bolton-Letlow Chapel in Columbiana, the Rev. Gary Holcombe and the Rev. Howard Brasher presiding. Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton-Letlow directing.

Herman Eugene Barnett, 66, of Calera died March 28, 2004, in Calera.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Pinelli of Illinois and Teresa Wakefield of Calera; two sons, David Barnett of Mississippi and Andy Barnett of Calera; two brothers, the Rev. Mark Barnett of Calera and Lawrence Barnett of Alabaster; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Service was March 30 at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Calera, the Revs. Ronnie Porter and Buddy Hayes presiding. Burial followed in Shelby Memory Gardens, Rockco's Funeral Home directing.

Carle Brasher, 32, of Leeds died March 25, 2004. She was a member of the Vincent Revival Center Church. She was preceded in death by William Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Brasher; her son, Ryan Brasher; her mother, Joyce Davis; her father- and mother-in-law, Jerry and Emma Brasher; her brothers, Jimmy (Tammy) Davis and Stephen (Rena) Davis; her brother-in-law, Robin Brasher; her sister, Vicki (Jackie) Reeves; nieces and nephews, Khristy Davis, Erica Brasher, Michelle Reeves, Andrew Davis, Timothy Reeves, Nichole Davis and Stephen Davis.
