Opal D. Foster, 83, of Columbiana died Nov. 15, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born in January 1920 in Columbiana. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jack Foster.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Charles) Foster Jones and Doris (Robert John) Foster Isbell; two sisters, Hazel Church and Martha Taylor; two half-sisters, Alana LeCroy and Geraldine Rogers; four grandchildren, Shawn Isbell, Shane Isbell, Allen Jones and Ashley Jones Venable; and one great-grandchild.
Service was Nov. 18 at Bolton Brown Service Chapel, the Rev. Roland Foster presiding. Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Rita Ann Hill
Mother of seven
Rita Ann Hill, 45, of Birmingham died Nov. 15, 2003. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Glass and her brothers, Jerry and Roger Glass.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Hill; three daughters, Sherry and Teresa Henderson and Frida Castleberry; four sons, Charles "Bubby" Partridge, Hilber Henderson, Gerald Henderson and Raymond Henderson; her father, Sam Glass; two sisters, Linda Wildeman and Rebecca Glass; three brothers, Larry, Billy and Mack Glass; and 14 grandchildren.
Service was Nov. 18 at Union Hill Baptist with burial following in Union Hill Cemetery, Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directing.

Joseph Morgan Long, 46, of Pelham died Nov. 12, 2003. He was born in Virginia in December 1956, was a longtime resident of Pelham and a longtime employee of Vulcan Threaded Products.

Patricia Sue Mead

Patricia Sue Mead, 49, of Brierfield died Nov. 12, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born in Carslie, Pa., in January 1953.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jan Mead; her daughter, Betty Ann Mead, both of Brierfield; her father, Fred Shaffer; four sisters; and two brothers, all of Carslie, Pa.
Graveside service was Nov. 14 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, the Rev. Alex Beauke presiding and Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
William E. Morris
Chilton County native
William E. Morris, 74, of Alabaster died Nov. 13, 2003, at a local hospital. He was born in July 1929 in Chilton County and was a member of the Elliottsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Nationwide Insurance Company after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Morris; his children, Karen Lee and David Morris, all of Alabaster; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, Christian and Rachel; and four sisters, Recle Carden, Judy Robinson, Maggie Latimer and Phyllis Harris.
Service was Nov. 15 at the church with burial following in Harless Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Ailene Minor F. Seale

Ailene Minor F. Seale, 87, of Columbiana died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born March 10, 1916, in Wilsonville.
She is survived by her children, John P. Farris of Mobile and Rebecca Farris of Las Vegas, Nev.; her nephew, Kenneth R. Minor of Dallas, Texas; her niece, Gail Pruitt of Mobile; and special cousins.
Service was Nov. 10 at Bolton Brown Service Chapel, the Revs. Mike Miller, Harold Hand and Horace Grizzle presiding. Burial followed in Fourmile Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service directing.
Odell Harris Smith

Odell Harris Smith, 82, of Dunnavant Valley died Nov. 16, 2003. She was a member of the North Shelby Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Edna Bulugaris of Birmingham and Carolyn (Larry) Howard of Chelsea; two sons, Roger Smith and Ricky (Cathy) Smith, both of Birmingham; one brother, the Rev. Willie Harris; one sister, Ruby Wadsworth; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Service will be Nov. 19 at North Shelby Baptist Church with burial following at Pleasant Site Cemetery, Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directing.
Taylor Elizabeth Trimble

Taylor Elizabeth Trimble, 11, died Nov. 12, 2003. She was a sixth grader at Evangel Classical Christian School and a member of the Girl Scout Troop 474.
She is survived by her parents, Amy and Clay Trimble; her sister, Meredith Harrill Trimble, all of Alabaster; her grandparents, Sue B. Taylor of Russellville, Harold Taylor and Syble Johnson of Alexander City and Joan and Ken Trimble of Macon, Ga.; her great-granddad, Eugene Bragwell of Russellville; and her aunts, Sarah Ellen (Ridley) Barron of Douglas, Ga., and Tricia (Neil) Stevens of Alpharetta, Ga.
Service was Nov. 15 at Evangel Church PCA, the Rev. Jeff Lowman presiding. Burial followed in Helena City Cemetery, Charter Funeral Home directing.
Clarence D. Young
Mason
Clarence D. Young, 83, of Wilsonville died Nov. 12, 2003, at his daughter's home. He was born in June 1920 in Tennessee. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Westover, a member of Local Union 91 for 50 years and a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Irene Young; his parents, Clarence D. Young Sr. and Alice May Dale Young; and his brother, Everett Sherman Young.
He is survived by three daughters, Betty (Ray) Marrs and Beverly (James) Gardner, both of Westover, and Becky (Arnold) Moore of Sterrett; two sons, Clarence E. (Donna) Young of Byhalia, Miss., and Randy D. (Sarah) Young of Clanton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Edward Young of Memphis, Tenn.
Service was Nov. 15 at Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Curtis McCaffe and David Wooten presiding. Burial followed in Union Cemetery in Westover, Bolton Brown directing.
William S. Ammons
Montevallo resident
William S. Ammons, 67, of Montevallo died Nov. 18, 2003. He was born in Louisiana in May 1936, the son of William Garland Ammons and Mildred Louise Finch Ammons. He enjoyed scouting, having earned the honor of Eagle Scout. He attended Auburn University and worked as a construction engineer.
He is survived by his daughters, Allison (David) Lash and Camille (Art) Kimmel; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Kelsey Kimmel and Drew and Wesley Lash.
Service was Nov. 26 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pensacola, Fla., pastor Michael Harris presiding, and Charter Funeral Home directing.
