ROY HIGHFIELD
TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Roy Highfield, 81, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with the Rev. Randall Ingram officiating.
Mr. Highfield died June 22 at his residence. He was a native of Georgia and lived in Talladega most of his life. He was retired from Newbury Foundry and was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Roy W. and Wanda Highfield of Talladega; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
EDNA EARL HIXSON
WEOGUFKA — Graveside service for Edna Earl Hixson, 88, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga with Dr. Todd Henderson officiating.
Mrs. Hixson died June 21 at Mt. View Assisted Living in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.M. Hixson. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and was active in the Senior Citizens Center in Stewartville.
She is survived by daughter, Betty Kay (Sunny) Roberson of Weogufka; brother, Dick Robertson of Mobile; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

ALVALENE WOOTEN HUTCHINSON
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Alvalene Wooten Hutchinson, 76, was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Russell Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Kornegay and the Rev. Carrie Brown officiating. Burial was in Fayetteville Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutchinson died June 20. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Hutchinson; son, Charles S. Hutchinson; and brother, Carl Wooten. She was retired from Sylacauga Hospital and was a member of Russell Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Craig Hutchinson and wife Heather of Sylacauga; and Tammy Pennington and husband Ron, also of Sylacauga; four great-grandchildren, Josh Pennington, Cody Pennington, Tyler Pennington and Sophie Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law, Dolores Williamson of Leeds; and a sister, Billy Jean Brantley of Alabaster.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel directed the service.

CHILDERSBURG — Freddie (Soap) Robertson, 59, of No. 20 Ferry Court, died June 21 at his residence.

LESLIE HOWARD SHELL
PELL CITY — Funeral service for Leslie Howard Shell, 45, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Shell died June 21. He was preceded in death by a son, Trevor Douglas Shell. Leslie was a very dedicated son.
He is survived by his parents, Coy and Shirley Ann Shell of Riverside; brother, David Richard Shell and wife Amanda of Pell City; sister, Susan Renea Powser of Riverside; and special friend at Lakeside Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Black, Kenny Black, Jerry Jarvis, David Shell, Charlie O'Barr and Nolan Perry.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

TALLADEGA — Rosie T. Simmons, 83, of 312 Dumas Ave., died June 22 at her residence.

JAMES IRVIN SOLLEY
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for James Irvin (Jim) Solley, 74, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Phillip Holloway and the Rev. James Wesley officiating. Burial will be in Old Antioch Cemetery
in Clay County.
Mr. Solley died June 22 at his residence. He was a native of Clay County and a former resident of Talladega. He was a retired iron and steel worker and was a member of the Harvest Time Tabernacle of Clay County. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta L. Solley of Lineville; daughter, Betty Bogan of Gary, Ind.; son, Wayne Solley of Gary, Ind.; sisters, Eula Mae Jones and Lois Denton of Talladega; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Fowler, Pifer Lucas, Timothy Fregia, Robert Holloway, Paul Holloway and Clarence Holeshed.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
SADIE BELL STONE
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Sadie Bell Stone, 84, was Monday at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Stone officiating. Burial was in Midway Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Stone died June 20 at Citizens BMC. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and was a member of Mount Ida Baptist Church. She was retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edward Stone, and two daughters, Betty Faye Carden and Marie Crabtree.
She is survived by daughter, Mae Nix of Clanton; sons, Ronnie and Rickey Stone of Talladega; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Nix, Ray Nix, Greg Crabtree, Roger Stone, Kevin Nelson and Brandon Nix.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Crabtree, Stanley Ellis, Michael Nelson, Frankie Hurst Jr. and Jeff Hurst.
Usrey Funeral Home directed the service.
ROBERT TAYLOR
SPRINGVILLE — Funeral service for Robert (Bob) Taylor, 67, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Springville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died June 23. He retired from Fruehauf Company after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Taylor; daughter, Sandra Taylor Gough of Springville; grandchildren, Trey Stephens, Robert (Josh) Taylor and Shannon Long; great-grandchildren, Chance, Breonna, Sage, Aiden, Tristan and Cheyenne; brother, Milton Taylor (Linda); and sisters, Sue Green and Becky Gibson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JANIE MAE REYNOLDS THREATT
HARPERSVILLE — Funeral service for Janie Mae Reynolds Threatt, 70, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Evangel Temple with the Rev. Jim C. Norwood officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Threatt died June 18 at Shelby Medical Center.
She is survived by daughters, Debra Datcher of Vincent and Cynthia Threatt and Shonda Threatt of Harpersville; brothers, Walter Reynolds Jr. of Anniston and Benjamin Reynolds of Harpersville; and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
