Pauline Aldridge Creamer, 81, of Alabaster died May 23, 2002. She was born May 15, 1921, and was a lifelong resident of Shelby County. She was a member of Camp Branch United Methodist Church and owner of Aldridge Grocery in Saginaw for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hilda Creamer Bynum.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lacy E. Creamer; daughter, Jane C. Noe of Alabaster; three granddaughters, Ava (Bob) Hamric of Vestavia, Dawn (Bob) Newberry of Hoover and Mindi Noe of Alabaster; one great-granddaughter, Ashlei Morse of Hoover; and her son-in-law, Gordon Bynum of Hoover.
Service was May 25 at Camp Branch United Methodist Church, the Rev. Larry Adcock presiding. Burial followed at Mt. Era Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service directing.

Patricia Ann Davis, 62, of Maylene died May 22, 2002.
She is survived by her mother, Eva Harper of Paris, Tenn; daughter, Chrissie Lynn Davis of Maylene; sons, Stephen P. Davis and Roger Dale Davis, both of Maylene, Alvin Ray Davis of Camp Branch and Michael James Davis of Pea Ridge; sisters, Donna Hodge, Bobbie Hudgins, Dixie Raymer and Teresa Lowe, all of Tennessee; brothers, Ronnie Harper, Lyndale Harper and Jimmy Harper, all of Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Service was May 25 at Rockco's Funeral Home Chapel, Ray Smith officiating. Burial followed at Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Rockco's Funeral Home directing.

Mary L. Farmer, 69, of Northport died May 24, 2002. She was a former resident of Shelby County. She was a charter member of DayStar International Fellowship Church in Tuscaloosa. She was an entrepreneur and owned her own business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Auburn E. Farmer; daughter, Elisha Farmer; and sister, Emma Jean Huckabee.
She is survived by her son, Elton R. Farmer (Vicky) of Mt. Olive; daughter, Deborah Schatzline (Brother Pat) of Northport; brother, James Lowery Jr. (Cheryl) of Maylene; two sisters, Jane Johnson of Maylene and Tilly Ann Jones (Frank) of Daphne; grandchildren, Alicia R., Patrick H. and Scott Schatzline, and Thomas E. and Stacey F. Farmer; and seven great-grandchildren.
Service was May 26 at Charter Funeral Home with her grandsons, Pastor Patrick H. Schatzline and Pastor Scott S. Schatzline officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Alabaster, Charter Funeral Home directing.

Martha Emily Bouchet Faulk, 70, of Montevallo died May 23, 2002.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Young of Calera and Nancy Nolin of Springville; two sons, Billy Faulk of Montevallo and J.W. Faulk of Macon, Ga.; one brother, Adrien Bouchet of Birmingham; and five grandchildren.
Service was May 25 at Providence Baptist Church No. 1 in Montevallo with Scott Watson presiding. Burial was in Providence Cemetery, Rockco's Funeral Home directing.

Effie Bishop Hall, 93, of Montevallo died May 20, 2002. She was born May 14, 1909, in Mississippi and was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ruth Douglas of Montevallo; son, E.J. Hall of Woodboro, Md.; one sister, Hartence Barlow of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Service was May 23 at Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Ables presiding. Burial followed in Shelby Memorial Gardens, Bolton Brown Funeral Home directing.
TERRY STEPHEN KUNSTLER
Vietnam veteran
Terry Stephen Kunstler, 56, of Oneonta died May 20, 2002. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from the University of Alabama and received his master's degree from the University of Montevallo. He was a vocational counselor for the state of Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Susan S. Gunter; his daughter, Mallory A. Kunstler of Oneonta; his mother, Veomi H. Kunstler of Maylene; and his brother, Robert T. Kunstler of Maylene.
Service was May 23 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Raymond Remke presiding. Burial was in Elliotsville Cemetery, Charter Funeral Home directing.

Ella B. Lahti, 70, of Columbiana died May 7, 2002. She was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Louisiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Skyles of Columbiana; two grandsons, Dean Meadows of Montevallo and Robert Enfield of Columbiana; four granddaughters, Diann Simon of Cordova, Tabbatha Jennings of Montevallo, Lynn Higgins of Shelby and Rena Ryum; three great-grandchildren, Aileen Meadows, Gabby Enfield and Dustin Enfield, all of Calera; one brother, Charles Case of Louisiana; and one great-sister-in-law, Merv Case.
Graveside service was May 9 at the Columbiana City Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service directing.

Joy Aleen "Joyce" Langevin, 76, of Vestavia Hills died May 20, 2002. She was born in Michigan on October 26, 1925, the daughter of Clauson Wayne Gorsline and Katherine Brigett Campbell Gorsline. She attended Maryknoll College in Michigan, and she married in Youngstown, Ohio, on Nov. 29, 1945.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Irving Gorsline and Clauson Wayne Gorsline Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wilfred A. "Jim" Langevin; two daughters, Sharon L. Turner (Rick) of Johnson City, Tenn., and Carol L. Powe (Dennis) of Calera; nine grandchildren, Christina Wright, Andrea D. Brown, Lorie Bullock, Ryan Turner, Melanie Lingerfelt, Jennifer Powe, Brian D. Powe, Michael Powe and Katie Emrich; and five great-grandchildren.
Service was May 23 at Charter Funeral Home with the Rev. James Etheridge presiding. Burial was in Dargin Cemetery in Calera, Charter Funeral Home directing.

James William Matherson Sr., 71, of Alabaster died May 22, 2002.
He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Badalamenti of Chicago, Ill., and Valena Young of Alabaster; a son, James Earl Matherson of Alabaster; three sisters, Evelyn Whitfield of Alabaster, Ruth Spain of Alabaster and Dolly Mae Nobles of Florida; three brothers, John Henry Matherson of Florida, Frank Matherson of Alabaster and C.L. Matherson of Montgomery; and seven grandchildren.

Richard Nelms (Debra), Percy Nelms and Andrew Nelms; daughters, Charlie Nell Green (Robert), Mary Gaiters (Joseph), Nellie Caber (Lewis), Betty Hall (Larry), Katie Nelms, Phyllis Steward (Desi) and Gladys Nelms (Richard, friend); 40 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
