Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Winston Brooks officiating. GREEN, Mr. Will Henry (Bay), 78 a resident of Montgomery, AL departed this life peacefully Monday, July 20, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 in the Macedonia Community with Rev. Thomas Dixon, officiating. Interment will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, Inc., directing. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. He was retired from the Montgomery Public School System at the Transportation Department as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by one son, William Tatum. He is survived by two daughters, Carrie (Andrew) Long III and Rhonda Greene; three sons, James Tatum, Marcus Greene and Samuel Tatum, Sr. (Lisa Freeman); two stepdaughters, Shirley Phelan and Debra McTier; one brother, Jim Green; two sisters, Coleen Ruth Burton and Willie Belle (Jesse) Riley; eleven grandchildren, Candra, Long, Yokeia (Reginald) Gibbs, Marquita Greene, Tiffany Perryman, Jocelyn Hall, Terrell Greene, Sherrell Greene, JaKobe Greene, Jeremy Cooper, Uniqua Tatum and Samuel Tatum, Jr.; devoted friends, Jimmie Lee Harmon, Frank and Rachel Stinson, Ada and Penn Carter, Callie and James Miller and Mary Frances Globe; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren. TAKAC, Wanda Jo Crenshaw, Loving wife of Paul R. Takac and the late Randy Crenshaw. Devoted Daughter of the late P. Eldridge and Laverne Cardwell Owen. She was a faithful member of the Hope Hull Church of Christ, and was co-founder of Crenshaw Clean Cut Landscaping and Lawn Service. She is survived by step-son Paul Takac, Jr (Regan) of State College, Pennsylvania and step-daughter Kristen (Mike) Sczesny of Weston, Wisconsin and six loving grandchildren. Wanda will be missed by a host of friends in Montgomery and throughout Alabama and the world for her wisdom, simplicity and kindness to all she encountered. PARKER, Corinne (Davis) Parker, a resident of Montgomery, formerly of Tuskegee, passed away September 21, 2009, a week before her 91st birthday. She was married to the late Buford Parker; her parents were the late Grover C. and Theone Kelly Davis, of Tuskegee. She was the beloved sister of the late Grover C. Davis, Jr., the late Ryan Kelly Davis and Frances Davis Cox. She was also predeceased by two nephews, Kelly and Michael Davis. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary D. Davis, her nieces Joyce D. Rittmanic, Judy (Cleo) Carrell of Montgomery, Theone (Wildon) Harden of Auburn, Dorothy D. Gilmore of Greensboro, NC, Deborah (Dan) Garrett of Oxford, AL, Patricia (Ken) Young of Boise, ID, her nephews Grover C. "Bubba" (Ruth) Davis of Phenix City, AL, Donald (Jan) Davis of Oklawaha, FL, James Davis of Lilburn, GA and Jerry (Elaine) Davis of McDonough, GA, 22 great nieces and nephews and 30 great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. TUCKER, Mr. Morris G. "Buddy", Jr., 56, a resident of Montgomery died Saturday September 19, 2009. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 23, 2009 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Stewart Sunday officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his mother, Shirlie Norman Tucker. Survivors include his wife of ten years, Connie Tucker; three children, Glenn (Brandy) Tucker, Melissa Crumpton and Chris (DeeJay) Crumpton; father, M.G. Tucker; four grandchildren, Alexus Harris, Blake Tucker, Madison Tucker and Carleigh Tucker; sister, Beth (Charlie) Roberson; special nephew, Chad Roberson; sister-in-law, Debra (Glenn) Lee; nephew, Joey Lee; and niece, Diana Lee. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Tucker, Chad Roberson, Charlie Roberson, Joseph Lee, Christopher Crumpton, Ernest Moseley, Paul Murray and Randy Knight. BULKA, Norma Jean Chamlee

BULKA, Norma Jean Chamlee departed this world gracefully on Sept. 22, 2009. She was born June 29, 1930 in a small township near Blevins, Arkansas and grew up in Prescott, Arkansas. She met her future husband in Dallas in 1953, married him in a ceremony ending with an arch of military sabres and a flyover, on June 29, 1956 in the Larson AFB, Washington chapel, Moses Lake, Washington. She was the quintessential Air Force wife, moving 18 times across the country and overseas during her 27 years of Air Force life, and enduring 3 one-year separations while her husband was in Thule, Greenland, Murphy Dome, Alaska and Pleiku-Danang Air Bases. Vietnam. Her son Mark, was born September 27, 1958 in Neubruke, Germany; daughter Michelle born January 9, 1960 (after 11 minutes of labor) in Hahn AFB, Germany; daughter Allison born September 18, 1964 at Laredo AFB, Texas and son Christopher born October 13, 1969 at Eglin/Hurlburt AFB Fort Walton Beach Florida, the last while her husband Ed was in Vietnam. After her husband's assignment to Maxwell AFB, Alabama in 1979 and retirement in May, 1983, they settled down in Montgomery, Alabama, never to move again. She was active in Officers Wives' Club activities and held a variety of positions on their Boards of Directors. She was also active in community activities in Montgomery, served on the Montgomery Civic Ballet Board of Directors between 1984 and 1989 and then worked as the Montgomery Ballet School Administrator until 1995 where the younger students, especially the youngest "munchkins", pre-teens, and teens named her "Auntie Bea". Many a student found comfort in her lap.. She was the "heart of the family and leaves behind her husband Colonel Ed Bulka (retired USAF), son Mark in Portland, Oregon, daughter Michelle, son-in-law Bill Geyer, grandson Nicholas and grand daughter Jessica in San Antonio, Texas; daughter Allison in Birmingham, Alabama and son Christopher in Washington, DC. She also leaves behind her elder sister Evelyn, her husband Virgil Daniel and many nephews and nieces throughout Arkansas, Texas and Nevada plus her "sisters in kind" Jane McDonald Jamison, Patsy Roady Mergo, Mary Smith Dodge and Martha Bailey Welch, to mourn her passing. She will be buried in Arlington Cemetery, with her husband. A " Celebration of Life" service will be announced at a future date.

POWELL, Deacon Herman Alexander, age 71, a resident of Montgomery, AL expired November 18, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm from North Court Street Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Clifford Prevo officiating. Interment will be held at Eastwood Memorial with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in repose from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in the church.

BURWELL, Barrett Banks of Canton, Georgia, died unexpectedly on November 19, 2009. Banks is survived by his father and stepmother, Philip and Louise Burwell of Ramer, AL; his mother, Sheila Barrett Johnson; his brother, Philip Carter Burwell and sister-in-law Emily Adair Burwell of Montgomery, AL; his nephews, Philip Carter Burwell, Jr. and Jackson Edward Burwell of Montgomery, AL; his aunt Lelia Burwell Boggan; his uncle, Robert L. Boggan; and cousin, Glen Boggan. Banks was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 2, 1972.
