COLDWATER
Services for Bartley M. Bussey, 80, of Coldwater will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with Rev. Gary Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bynum. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Bussey died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bussey of Coldwater; two daughters, Janice Hammond of Eastaboga and Susan Crook of Oxford; five sisters, Bea Holmes, Tina Dale, Jimmie Norris and Johnnie Gonzales, all of Coldwater and Danielle Harper of Mobile; five grandchildren, Andy Baber, Tonya Baber, Kim Hammond, Ginger Herren and Robin Adams; five great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Adrian Dale.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Dale, Andy Baber, Keith Hammond, Jackie Herren, Randy Adams, Chris Gay, Richard Bussey and John Hanvey.
Mr. Bussey was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 155. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Bussey and Fred Bussey.

TALLADEGA
Services for Charles “Dewitt” Dison, 68, of Talladega will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home with Revs. Wayne Hester and David Kearley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dison died Thursday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Dison of Talladega; three daughters, Roxanne Parker and Michelle Howard, both of Talladega and Bobbie Lackey of Munford; five sons, Gary Dison of Oneonta and Darrell Dison, Randall Dison, Stephen Dison and Kenneth Dison, all of Talladega; a sister, Omie Turner of Jackson Gap; a brother, William Gay Dison of Phenix City; two half-brothers, Bobby Kendrick of Georgia and Charles Kendrick of Talladega; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dison was a native of Clay County and had lived most of his life in Talladega County. He was a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship and was retired from Wehadkee Mills of Talladega. He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Dison and Randy Dison.

Farmer
Memorial graveside services for Robert Austin Farmer, 66, of Anniston, formerly of Hueytown, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer with Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Timothy Scott Farmer.
Mr. Farmer died Thursday in Anniston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of East Alabama, P.O. Box 2581, Anniston, AL 36202.

Services for William Leon Fluker, 62, of Talladega will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lily Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Memorial Gardens with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Fluker died Monday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fluker of Talladega; several children and stepchildren, and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Services for Jerry C. Gilchrist, 61, of Ohatchee will be today at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Machen officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gilchrist died Wednesday at UAB Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Gilchrist of Ohatchee; two daughters and their husbands, Jill and Greg McDonald of Tuscaloosa and Beth and Bart Howard of Southside; his mother, Blanche Gilchrist Franklin of Gadsden; three sisters, Martha Mitchell and Kathy Brewer, both of Gadsden and Carol Price of Jacksonville; two brothers, Larry Gilchrist of Gadsden and Steve Gilchrist of Ohatchee; and three grandchildren, Morgan McDonald, Bailey Howard and Bentley Howard.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Price, Blake Gilchrist, Josh Gilchrist, Matt Camp, Chris Jones and Steven Coffey.
Mr. Gilchrist was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was employed by Crestview Plumbing and Heating Co. Inc., and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Gilchrist.

Graveside services for Gene Gowens, 41, of Piedmont will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Union Grove Cemetery with Rev. Derek Smith officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Gowens died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Gowens of Piedmont; a sister and her husband, Suzanne G. Long and Charles Long of Hokes Bluff; a brother and his wife, Charles Clark Gowens and Anne Gowens of Franklin, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gowens was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont and a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was an active local businessman and was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Virgie Gowens.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a local charity.

Services for Thomas Bedford Hanks of Springfield will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Methodist Church with Revs. Roy Weathers and Billy Driggers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Hanks died Saturday at Inova Alexandria Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Corine Hanks of Springfield; two sons, Charles Hanks of Americus, Ga. and John Hanks of N. Wilkesboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Lacey M. Hanks and Laura Leigh Hanks.
Pallbearers will be Greg Price, Wallace Price, Larry Price, Ronald Brown, Johnathan Weathers, Danny Weathers, Franklin Harper and Dave Price.
Mr. Hanks was a native of North Carolina and had lived in Virginia most of his life.
