GADSDEN
Services for James E. Body, 68, of Gadsden will be today at 2 p.m. at Village Chapel Funeral Home in Gadsden with Rev. Buford Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Body died Thursday.
Survivors include three daughters, Eva Meeks and Frankie Waters, both of Gadsden and Angela Lynne Body-Brown of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, Coy Body of Gadsden; a sister, Jean Pugh of Anniston; a brother, Charles Body of Anniston; two uncles, V.O. Body and Hoyt Body, both of Gadsden; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Smith, Harold Pugh and V.O. Body.
Mr. Body was an Air Force veteran and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Mattie Smith Body.

Brafford
EASTABOGA
Services for Carrie Mahaffey Brafford, 74, of Eastaboga will be today at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Rev. Gary Rivers officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Brafford died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, Manley Brafford of Cleveland, Ga., Larry Brafford of Oxford and Robert Brafford of Anniston; a brother, John Mahaffey of Eastaboga; five sisters, Polly Carter of Eastaboga, Edna Grimes of Greensboro, N.C., Susie Smith and Lavelle Stewart, both of Birmingham, and Lillie Daniels of Anniston; seven grandchildren, Missy Walden, Keith Brafford, Bridget Watson, Wesley Brafford, Meagan Brafford, Tim Walker and Austin Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Henry Jason Walden Jr. and Braxton Clay Watson.
Pallbearers will be Trae Watson, Jamie Minton, Tony Polland, Dennis Polland, Jack Mahaffey, Brian Connor, Eddie Mahaffey and Tim Walker.
Mrs. Brafford was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress. She was a native of Calhoun County and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brafford.

Gammon
PIERSON, Fla.
Ross W. Gammon, 64, of Pierson died Wednesday at his home. Pinello Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Gammon; four sons, Michael Gammon of Anniston, Dean Gammon and Dell Gammon, both of St. Paul, Minn., and Mark Willis of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Georgia Gammon of Anniston, Michelle Bowles of Port Orange, Fla. and Stephanie Daughtery of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Jerry Gammon of Douglasville, Ga. and Rod Gammon of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a sister, Frances Martin of Tybee Island, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Gammon was a native of Atlanta and had moved to Florida in 1972 from Anniston. He was an Air Force veteran and was a retired salesperson for a floor-covering company. He was a member of Holly Hill Church of Christ, Elks Lodge 2193 and the Loyal Order of Moose in Ormond Beach.

HEFLIN
Services for Grace Marie Gilley, 84, of Heflin will be today at 11 a.m. at Dryden Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Murray officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gilley died Thursday at Cleburne County Nursing Home.
Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Crossley of Conyers, Ga. and Jackie Furgerson of Heflin; a brother, Roy McElroy of Bremen, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gilley was a native of Haralson County, Ga., and had lived in Hapeville, Ga., most of her life. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and was a housewife.

MUNFORD
Services for Robert L. “Uchie” Lathem, 69, of Munford will be today at 3 p.m. at Munford Church of Christ with Richard O’Conner officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford with Miller Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Lathem died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Lathem; three sons, Sandy Eugene Lathem of Chickamauga, Ga., Butch Lathem of Munford and Shannon Lynn Lathem of Talladega; two daughters, Sheila Hunter of Munford and Rose Marie Lambert of Talladega; a sister, Francis Pritchard of Alexander City; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Lathem, Terry Gallihar, Scott Stephens, Jerry Lackey, Sonny Tucker, Hunter Stephens and Bobby Lackey.
Mr. Lathem worked for U.S. Pipe for 22 years and was a member of Munford Church of Christ.

Graveside services for Erle M. (Buck) Hall III, 62, of Montgomery will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Andrews officiating and Leak Memory Chapel of Montgomery in charge. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Hall died Saturday.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Franklin Hall of Montgomery; a son, Erle M. (Bo) Hall and his wife, Nancy, of Birmingham; a daughter, Kim Bradshaw and her husband, Jeff, of Anniston; four grandchildren, Jonathon and Sarah Elizabeth Bradshaw, both of Anniston, and Helen and William Hall, both of Birmingham; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erle M. Hall Jr. of Montgomery; a sister, Mary Virginia Massey and her husband, Jimmy, of Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Scott, Don Garrison, Marvin Lewis, Norman Green, Craig Vinson, Dicky Knighten, Cody Jones, and Rodger Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers are K.O. Dessert, Bill Ward and Fred Burton.

Harris
TALLADEGA
Services for Nettie Lee Harris, 78, of Talladega will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Talladega with the Rev. Robert Paul and Dr. Curtis Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega in charge. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harris died Saturday at Talladega Health Care Center.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Harris of Moody and Mike Harris of Montrose; four sisters, Billie Faye Gay of Wadley, Willie Pearl Cagle of Roanoke, Jo Richardson of Roanoke, and Patricia Stringfellow of Davie, Fla.; a brother, Rev. Truman Norred of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.
Mike Chandler will be pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church of Talladega.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Harris lived in Talladega 46 years, and was a teacher. She was a member of First Baptist Church, was retired from the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, and was a member of the Alabama Education Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Harris Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "I love my church fund" at First Baptist Church of Talladega.
