McCullough

Graveside services for Clara MaeBell McCullough, 81, of Oxford will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Dogwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Hodnett officiating and Miller Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCullough died Thursday at Northport Medical Center in Northport.
Survivors include three sons, Fermer McCullough of Munford and Earl McCullough and Jimmy McCullough, both of Oxford; a brother, Willard Smith of Munford; two sisters, Beatrice Brasher of Saks and Dorothy St. Cyr of Oxford; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McCullough was a lifelong resident of Oxford and a member of First Baptist Church of Oxford.

Montgomery
LINCOLN
Services for Robert S. Montgomery, 66, of Lincoln will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with Revs. John E. Russell and Willie Smoot officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Montgomery died Sunday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia B. Montgomery of Lincoln; a daughter, Sheretta Vann of Columbus, Ga.; a son, Samuel Montgomery of Lincoln; two brothers, Rollie C. Montgomery and John E. Montgomery, both of Lincoln; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Montgomery was a member of Pine Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served on the usher and trustee boards. He was retired from U.S. Casting in Anniston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie Montgomery and Sallie Elston Montgomery; and a son, LA Spencer Montgomery.

Services for Joe Charles “Slim” Simmons, 64, of Talladega will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby J. Welch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Simmons died Tuesday at his home.
Survivors include his mother, Rosie Mae Simmons of Talladega; seven sisters, Elizabeth Calhoun of Sylacauga and Lillie Stockdale, Georgia Whitson, Mary Lynch, Thelma Simmons, Barbara Simmons and Louise Hawkins, all of Talladega; five brothers, William E. Simmons, Bobby Gene Simmons, Jerry Simmons, Elijah Simmons and Lawrence Simmons, all of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Mr. Simmons was a former employee of the city of Talladega and a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Simmons, and his wife, Bernice J. Simmons.

Services for Henrietta Miller Storey, 80, of Talladega will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Samuel Turner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Storey died Friday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Frances Reed of Philadelphia, Linda Lawson of Alpine and Earnestine Ragland and Marilyn Gale Elston, both of Talladega; two sons, Clarence Storey of Philadelphia and Howard Storey of Talladega; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Storey of Talladega and Annie Barber of Sycamore; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.
Mrs. Storey was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and a former member of the senior choir and founder of the junior choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie T. Storey; and her parents, Ed Miller and Mary Robinson Miller.

Services for Silas Wilson Sr., 85, of Talladega will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Africa Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Theatt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Wilson died Saturday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Juliette Lawler Wilson of Talladega; a daughter, Nellie Jean Hayes of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons, James Edward Wilson and Julius Bernard Wilson, both of Talladega and Silas Wilson Jr. of Decatur; two sisters, Delores Banks and Helen Wilson, both of Detroit; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Bibb, Robert Scott, Jerome Curry, Joseph Buchanan, William Wynn and Leon Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be church deacons.
Mr. Wilson was a member and deacon of Africa Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Bemis Bag Company and Crown Textiles, and had retired from Nikki Lu Textiles in 1983. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Wilson and Ida Mae Chapman Wilson.

LONG BEACH, Miss.
Services for David Michael Armbrester of Long Beach, formerly of Talladega, will be today at 10 a.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Gandy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Armbrester died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Armbrester of Long Beach; two daughters, Cindy Davis of Hiram, Ga. and Alicia Armbrester of Auburn; a son, Robert Armbrester of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three sisters, Kathleen Bryant and Martha Horn, both of Renfroe, and Eleanor Harris of Auburn.
Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Robert Gambrell Jr., Jimmy Horn, William Armbrester Jr., Michael Bryant, Dan Bryant, Joe Bryant Jr., Kelly Bryant Jr. and Robert Armbrester. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bryant, Robert Gambrell Sr. and Ralph Harris.
Mr. Armbrester was a native of Talladega, where he lived most of his life. He moved to Long Beach in 1986 and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Long Beach. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Services for Opal I. Morgan Edgil, 82, of Gadsden, formerly of Cherokee County, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Centre with Rev. Billy Joe Boatwright officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery at Blairtown. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edgil died Thursday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Amanda Morgan, Donald W. and Betty Ann Morgan, John Allen Morgan, Steve and Sandra Morgan and Randy and Patricia Morgan, all of Gadsden; two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty Jo and Robert McAdams and Phyllis Morgan Thomas, all of Gadsden; a sister, Louise Jordan of Northport, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Louise West of Prattville and Marie Graham of Gadsden; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Craig Morgan, Derek Morgan, Robert Morgan, Jeffery Rex Morgan, Matthew Morgan and Scott Morgan.
Mrs. Edgil was a native of Cherokee County and a housewife. She was a member of Gospel Temple Christian Center in Gadsden. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmos Sewell Morgan and Lester Edgil; and her parents, Thomas and Mary Angie Kennedy Graham.

Services for Curtis Elizabeth Johnson, 80, of Graham will be today at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Revs. Tony Morris, Gary Henderson and Paul Widener officiating. Burial will be in Herren’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Johnson died Thursday at her home.
Survivors include a son, David Johnson of Wedowee; two grandchildren, Ben Johnson and John Johnson; a sister, Jewell Mote of Woodland; and a brother, Willis Herren of Woodland.
Pallbearers will be John Short, Tommy Herren, Steve Herren, Steve Johnson, Danny Joe McCord and Duane Noles.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of Steven W. and Nancy M. Traylor Herren. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and had been employed by SunTrust Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Johnson; two brothers, Horace Herren and S.T. “Bud” Herren; and four sisters, Myrtice Green, Nancy Williams, Janie Hinton and Ilene Lovvorn.
