Jones
Services for Hubert H. Jones, 81, of Anniston will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones died Tuesday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Jones and Karol Jones, both of Anniston; a son, Michael N. Jones of Pinson; a caregiver, Linda Brucham of Ohatchee, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a member of Fairview Heights Northside Baptist Church and Zamora Temple. He was a World War II Army veteran and was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Marie Jones.

MUNFORD
Services for Mary Ann Orr, 59, of Munford will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hall Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Perry Dates officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Orr died Thursday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include a son, Walter Orr of Munford; her mother, Ora D. Bias of Munford; two sisters, Eldna Ruth Garrett of Munford and Fannie Burnhart of Anniston; a brother, Joe M. Jemison of Columbus, Ohio; and an uncle, an aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Thomas Patterson, 78, of Oxford will be announced by Miller Funeral Home.
Mr. Patterson died Tuesday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

WEBSTER’S CHAPEL
Services for Vernon Lee Roper, 72, of Webster’s Chapel, formerly of Reads Mill, will be today at 1 p.m. at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home with Revs. Raymond Pierson and Frank Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Mr. Roper died Sunday.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Kenneth and Tammy Roper; a daughter and her husband, Cathy and Johnny Crane; the mother of his children, Nannie Lou Roper; a sister, Addie Jo Lowman; three grandchildren, Jody Roper, Traci Crane and Matt Crane; three stepgrandchildren, Amber Broome, Tamara Ethridge and Melissa Yates, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Doyce Day, William Lowman, Wilford Lowman, Bobby Lowman, Howard Roper, Royce Lowman and Jason Broome.
Mr. Roper was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Bessie Roper.

Services for Payton Crider, 73, of Ohatchee will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Revs. Sam Legon and David Vinson officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Crider died Friday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Hanson Crider of Ohatchee; a daughter and her husband, Jo Crider Green and Roger Green of Ohatchee; a son and his wife, Dennis Crider Sr. and Silvia Crider of Ohatchee; a brother, Clinton Crider of Centre; seven grandchildren, Dennis Crider Jr., Kevin Crider, Amy Crider Spears, Briana Green Dobson, Cody Green, Roth Green and Trent Green; and four great-grandchildren, Dillon Crider, Tori Dobson, Austin Crider and Dawson Dobson.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Prince, Don Crider, Stan Crider, Jeff Crider, Billy Tyson and Keith Crider. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Hanson, Jack Green, Charles Ward, Ken Cox, Clyde Garrison, Jack Johnson and Mike Condit.
Mr. Crider was a native of Cherokee County and had lived in Calhoun County 55 years. He was the former owner of Saks Jr. Grocery. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin Green; his parents, John and Martha Crider and Clara Anderson Crider; three brothers, Carthel Crider, Wesley Crider and J.D. Crider; and a sister, Hettie Crider Crane.

Services for Myra Katherine Crim, 74, of Anniston will be today at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Rev. Roland Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Crim died Thursday in Weaver.
Survivors include a daughter, Alene Hogue of Weaver; a brother, Troy Kilgore of Anniston; a sister, Nancy Hewitt of Anniston; three grandchildren, Wendy Whaley, Wanda Gilreath and Destiny Hogue; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Whaley and Madison Gilreath.
Pallbearers will be Ben Gilreath, Terry Whaley, Carl Higgins, Eddie McDowell, Harrell Wood and Jason Holley. Honorary pallbearers will be the hospice nurses.
Mrs. Crim was a member of Norwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Crim, and a daughter, Kay Wood.

Services for Charlie “Short Charles” Foreman, 78, of Anniston, formerly of Opelika, will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. L.L. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Foreman died Monday at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include a brother, Raymond White of Anniston; and a caregiver, Maxine Vinson of Anniston.
Mr. Foreman was an Army veteran and a retired truck driver. He was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie Mae Benson.

ROANOKE
Services for Helen Ruth McClung Freeman, 64, of Roanoke will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Big Springs Baptist Church with Revs. Scott Hannah and Cecil Halsey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 2:30-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Freeman died Thursday at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Thanuel “Sam” Freeman of Roanoke; a daughter, Lisa Mitchum of Woodland; a son, Todd Freeman of Roanoke; four sisters, Patricia Story and Carol Blankenship, both of LaGrange, Ga., Bonnie Briscoe of Royston, Ga., and Shelby McClung of Pine Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Louie McClung of LaGrange, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kennan Moon, Luke Moon, Charlie Scott, Ed Halsey, Kyle Arrington, George Brewster, Jessie Reynolds and Grady Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class of Big Springs Baptist Church.
Formerly of LaGrange, Mrs. Freeman had lived in Randolph County 40 years, and was born in Medlen, Ga. The daughter of the late Archie and Margaret Wade McClung, she was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and had been employed by LaMar Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe McClung.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Big Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hearn died Tuesday at her home.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Shirley Lockheart of LaGrange, Ga.; a sister, Nancy Rowland of Talladega; and a brother, Harey Miller of Talladega.
Mrs. Hearn was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
