Services for Jot Wilburn Cobb Jr., 85, of Anniston will be Sunday at noon at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Cobb died Friday at his home.

Fields
Services for Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth Ingram Fields, 79, of Anniston will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Revs. Reginald Kirk and Bobby Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fields died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Dianne Ingram of Heflin and Sera Smith of Mesquite, Texas; a son, Ed “Eddie” Ingram of Sussex, N.J.; two sisters, Mildred Gallant of Alexandria, Va., and Jean Mulhearn of Naples, Fla.; and eight grandchildren, Derek McCormick, Shane McCormick, Lamar Ingram, Jonathan Ingram, Phillip Smith, Rebecca Smith, Joshua Smith and Noah Smith.
Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Claude Thomas, Jimmy Stewart, Charlie Abbott, Lucian Hiett and Jeff Doby. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek McCormick, Lamar Ingram, Shane McCormick and Phillip Smith.
Mrs. Fields was a member of First Baptist Church of Anniston. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Edward Ingram and Ervin Fields.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Fulbright
ASHLAND
Services for Alverene Dawkins Fulbright, 90, of Ashland will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mellow Valley Baptist Church with Revs. Tommy Young and Bruce Willis officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens with Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland in charge. The family will receive friends 5:30-8 tonight and until one hour prior to service time Sunday at the funeral home. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Fulbright died Friday at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Jimmie Ann and Gerald Brown of Oxford; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wyatt A. and Jerrie Fulbright of Mellow Valley and Don Fulbright of Ashland; a sister, Annie Maude Gray of Mellow Valley; a brother, Max Dawkins of Mellow Valley; and three grandchildren, Alan Fulbright, Mark Fulbright and Kevin Brown.
Mrs. Fulbright was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She had been employed by Russell Manufacturing Co. in Alexander City for 29 years and was a member of Mellow Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jeff Fulbright and Donna Jill Fulbright; and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Fulbright.

ASHLAND
Services for Lena M. Gaddis, 94, of Ashland will be today at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Ashland with Revs. Melvin Ervin and Darryl Wood officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Memorial Garden with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Gaddis died Friday at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include a sister, Georgia Lee Bozeman of Ashland, two nieces and two nephews.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Macedonia and Bethel Baptist churches.
Mrs. Gaddis was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.

Giffone
LAS VEGAS
Services for John Giffone, 66, of Las Vegas will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Morrison’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Revs. Cloyse Johnson and Frank Rasberry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Giffone died Wednesday in Ruskin, Fla.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline McCord Giffone of Las Vegas; a daughter, Anita Joy Giffone of Woodland; a son, Rocky R. Giffone of Las Vegas; two sisters, Corinne Schwickart of Smithtown, N.Y., and Tanya Tucciarone of Jackson, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Chase Marcus Giffone and Shelby Nikole Giffone.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Camp, Kent Burnt, Bob Danko, John Powers, Awbrey Strain and Ellis Ray Strain.
Mr. Giffone was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the son of John Giffone Jr. and Hannah Anita Lopato Giffone. He was an Air Force veteran and was self-employed in the muffler service business. He was a Lutheran.

Goodwin
LINEVILLE
Services for Anna L. Goodwin, 73, of Lineville will be today at 2 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Lawrence Watts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Madden’s Funeral Service in charge.
Mrs. Goodwin died Wednesday at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include three daughters, Ellen A. Pierson of Lineville, Geraldine Boyd of Auburn and Margaret L. Rutland of Goodwater; two sons, Charlie Rutland Jr. of Alexander City and Wallace J. Rutland of Wedowee; two brothers, Rev. Clark Tyler of Atlanta and William L. Tyler of Heflin, 16 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

CENTRE
Services for Ann Griffith, 74, of Centre will be tonight at 7 at Perry Funeral Home with Dr. Lewis Archer and Rev. Aaron Coffey officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Griffith died Friday at Cherokee Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Weldon Griffith; three sons and their wives, Terry and Julie Alford of Florida, Mark and Annie Alford of Atlanta, and Tim and Deb Griffith of Centre; two daughters and their husbands, Kristie and Gary Graham of Gadsden and Charlene and Eddie Tighe of Houston; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Alford, Mark Alford, Bo Bryant, Shannon Graham, Christopher Graham, John Fortenberry, Bobby Welch and Jerry Downey.
Mrs. Griffith was a native of Etowah County and had lived in Cherokee County most of her life. She was retired from Cherokee Baptist Medical Center and was a member of East Gadsden Nazarene Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma McElwee, and a sister, Maureen Tolbert.

Owens
TALLADEGA
Services for Jimmy Carlton Owens, 56, of Talladega will be today at 1 p.m. at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church with Father Joy Chalissery officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Owens died Thursday at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki E. Owens of Lincoln; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Jeb Fannin of Talladega; a son and his wife, Jimmy Keith and Penny Owens of Lincoln; his father and stepmother, James and Bernice Owens of Lincoln; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Peggy Sue Bates of Gary, Ind., and Ruby and Ronald Stasko of Lincoln; a brother and his wife, Rev. Bobby and Judi Owens of Coldwater; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tom Childers, Randy Cook, Larry Layton, Troy Higginbotham, Frankie Lee Shaw and Gary Carlee.
Mr. Owens was a native of Clay County and had lived in Lincoln most of his life. He was a member of St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church and was the retired owner of Owens and Son Body Shop. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brady Owens; a grandchild, Addie Fannin; and a brother, Michael Owens.

Services for Inez Pearl Parson, 94, of Muscadine will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Camp Ground Methodist Church in Muscadine with Revs. Benny Abney and James Owens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home in Heflin.
Mrs. Parson died Wednesday at her home.
Survivors include a daughter, Louise Shaffer of Muscadine; a son, Walter C. Parson Jr. of Custer, Mich.; two sisters, Pauline Long of Bremen, Ga., and Jewel Gantt of Birmingham; a brother, William Bill Jones of Buchanan, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Mrs. Parson was a native of Jefferson County and had lived in Cleburne County since 1945. She was a member of Camp Ground Methodist Church, where she served as secretary, church treasurer and as a Sunday school teacher for 15 years. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Parson; and a daughter, Francis Parson.

Roberts
ST. LOUIS
Services for Kathleen Roberts of St. Louis, formerly of Anniston, will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis with Austin Lane Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Roberts died Wednesday in St. Louis.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Fomby Jr. of St. Louis and Glenn Fomby of Dallas; two sisters, Dimple O’neal and Gwendolyn Lewis, both of St. Louis; and two brothers, James “Jim” Roberts and Solomon Roberts, both of Anniston.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fomby Sr.
