Services for Rayford J. Kimbrell, 71, of Oxford will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Pastor Wayne Spradlin officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Kimbrell died Sunday at UAB Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy S. Kimbrell of Oxford; a daughter, Ann Watson of Anniston; three sons, Gary Kimbrell and Mark Kimbrell, both of Oxford and Darryl Kimbrell of Anniston; a sister, Jeanett Kimbrell of Georgia; two brothers, Hubert Kimbrell of Oklahoma and Harlice Kimbrell of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Steven Grubbs, Holley Westendick, Connor Kimbrell, Addy Kimbrell, Dewayne Kimbrell, Rayna Kimbrell, Christopher Kimbrell and Sara Kimbrell; and three great-grandchildren, Landen Westendick, Kiley Westendick and Steven Westendick.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Kimbrell, John Adams, Brian Adams, Shane Champion, Nick Champion and Walter Reid. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Kimbrell, Connor Kimbrell, Steven Grubbs, Billy Westendick, Wallace Martin, William Woodsmall and Monsanto retirees.
Mr. Kimbrell was a native of Randolph County and had lived in Calhoun County 51 years. He was retired from Monsanto Chemical Co.

Lashley
ROANOKE
Services for Lena Mae Lashley, 79, of Roanoke will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Revs. Maynard McGinty and Rudy Tidwell officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:30-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lashley died Monday at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Lashley of Roanoke; two daughters, Carolyn Cofield of Roanoke and Nancy Henderson of LaFayette; a son, Donald Lashley of Roanoke, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Cox, Christopher Cox, Steven Lashley, Glenn Padgett, Randy Cofield and Max Henderson.
Mrs. Lashley was a native of Chambers County and was the daughter of A.C. and Eva Lena Stanfield Waldrup. She was a self-employed restaurant owner and was a member of Abanda Baptist Church.

TALLADEGA
Services for Lacie Lynn Lockridge, 18, of Talladega will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Rutledge and Amy Karriker officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Miss Lockridge died Monday at her home.
Survivors include her mother, Frankie Lockridge of Talladega; two brothers, Logan Lockridge of Munford and Jon-Eric Lockridge of Talladega; and her grandfather, Frank Bone of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Kauffman, Greg Wood, Jason Pruitt, Trae Williams, Bubba Pressley and Buddy Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Hicks, Jeremy Reaves and Darrell Garrett.
Miss Lockridge was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a Baptist and a 2001 graduate of Talladega High School, where she had been a junior varsity cheerleader. She was member of the Double 9 Club and had worked for Talladega City Recreational Department.

BRANCHVILLE
Services for Lenora Bishop McDowell, 87, of Branchville, formerly of Rockmart, Ga., will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with Pastor Armand Egnew officiating. Burial will be in Pope’s Chapel Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McDowell died Sunday in Birmingham.
Survivors include her husband, William Woodrow “W.W.” McDowell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joann Farmer of Overland Park, Kan. and Nancy and John Boyer of Branchville; a son, William Marvin McDowell of Bremen, Ga.; a sister, Bernice Stone of Wattsville, nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Boyer, Joseph Boyer, Stephen Boyer, Dana Farmer, Marvin McDowell and Jacky Callahan.
Mrs. McDowell was a native of Wattsville and was a longtime resident of Rockmart, Ga. She had lived in Branchville a year and was a member of Rockmart Church of God.

Services for Harvey Linvell Owens, 96, of Jacksonville will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Methodist Church with Cloyse Johnson, Benny Abney and Kent Ponder officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home in Heflin.
Mr. Owens died Monday at Cleburne County Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Owens of Jacksonville; four sons, Arbin J. Owens of Knoxville, Tenn., Jerry Wayne Owens and Loyd P. Owens, both of Heflin and Tommy H. Owens of Birmingham; two daughters, Alberta Newell of Jacksonville and Pauline Todd of Cartersville, Ga., and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Evans, Michael Newell, Byron Todd, James R. Newell, Bobby Newell and Mark Owens.
Mr. Owens was a native of Cleburne County and a former resident of Jacksonville. He was a farmer and a former employee of Anniston Army Depot, the Alabama Correction System and the Alabama Forestry Commission. He was a member of Antioch Methodist Church.

Services for Ida Burke Towler, 76, of Rock Mills will be today at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home in Roanoke with Revs. James Harper and Tommy Burke officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Towler died Sunday at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sheppard of Rock Mills; two sons, Junior Towler and Jamie Towler, both of Rock Mills, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Towler, Jeff Towler, Ben Towler, Brandon Hammett, Gary Burke and Calvin Burke.
Mrs. Towler was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and was the daughter of Thomas and Carrie Veal Burke. She had been employed by Amoco Fabrics and Fibers and was a member of Rock Mills United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pierce Towler.

Mr. Young died at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Young of Oxford; two sons and their wives, Jervis and Carmel Young of Birmingham and Ricky and Roxanne Young of Talladega; a sister, Grace Pack of Trenton, Ga.; three brothers, Hugh D. Carter of Anniston, Joe Calvin Young of Coldwater and Wayne Young of Greenville; and four grandchildren, Brook Roper, Tiffany Roper, Sonya Young and Ericka Young.
Mr. Young was a 1953 graduate of Munford High School.

Services for James Edward Chappell, 62, of Atlanta, formerly of Wedowee, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Zion Rest Baptist Church in Wedowee with Rev. William Phillips officiating and Silmon Mortuary of Roanoke in charge. The family will receive friends 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the mother’s home at 1463 County Road 213, Wedowee. The body will be at the church at noon on Monday.
Mr. Chappell died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his mother, Nellie Chappell of Wedowee; a sister, Debra C. Marable of Wedowee; five brothers, Melvin Chappell and Kenneth Chappell, both of St. Paul, Minn., William Clyde Chappell and Bobby Gene Chappell, both of East Point, Ga., and Jerry Chappell of Stock Bridge, Ga.; and several neices, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Chappell was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Albert Chappell; and two brothers, Dewey Chappell Jr. and Terry Chappell.
