Services for Johnnie Mae Edwards Roberts, 77, of Ashland will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with the Rev. Lewis P. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.
Mrs. Roberts died Monday at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Tillman of Georgia; a son, Jerry Edwards of Dothan; a brother, Paul Berryhill of Clay County; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwards, a sister, Robbie Gann, a brother, Hewitt Berryhill, and a grandson, Eric Tillman.

Sedmak
Services for Jean B. Sedmak, 65, of Anniston will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Forestlawn Mausoleum with Father Bob Sullivan officiating and Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel.
Mrs. Sedmak died Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Sedmak Sr., of Anniston; a son, Paul Stanley Sedmak III and his wife, Scarlet, of Anniston; and three grandchildren, Emily Sedmak, Georgia Sedmak, and Tucker Sedmak.
Mrs. Sedmak was a lifelong Calhoun County resident. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Fort McClellan Belles Club. She retired in 1995 after 32 years in civil service.

Sheehan
Memorial services with military honors for Mary Sheehan, 70, of Anniston will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Father William Lucas officiating. There will be a memorial tribute to Miss Sheehan immediately following at the American Legion Post 57 in Jacksonville.
Miss Sheehan died Dec. 25 at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include two nieces, Kathleen Whelton of Londonderry, N.H. and Rosemary K. Sheehan of Holbrook, Mass.; and two nephews, Robert Sheehan of Milford, N.H. and William Sheehan of Holbrook.
Miss Sheehan was retired from the Army after 24 years of service. She was a member of the WAC Veterans Association Chapter 62, the American Legion Post 57, D.A.V., the Women’s Memorial and the Women’s Bowling Association.
Memorial donations can be made to the League of Animal Welfare of Anniston, the U.S. Army Women’s Museum in Fort Lee, Va., or the Women’s Army Corps Veterans’ Association at Fort McClellan.

Bauer
Graveside services for Joyce Harris Bauer, 70, of Anniston will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Upper Cane Creek Methodist Cemetery with Father Robert Sullivan officiating and Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bauer died Dec. 29 in Seattle.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Eiche of Houston and Pam Sprute of Seattle; three sisters, Addie Meads and Velma Clemoents, both of Anniston and Mary Graham of Alexandria; a brother, James Harris of Great Falls, Mont., and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Bauer was a native of Calhoun County, where she lived most of her life. She had lived in Seattle six years. She was a Catholic and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bauer.

Services for Salton Daily “Goat” Fortenberry, 72, of Centre will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Green officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Fortenberry died Wednesday at Cherokee Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, William F. and Thelma Fortenberry of Centre; and four sisters and their husbands, Margie and Bill McReynolds and Connie and Johnny Pierce, all of the Exie Community, Tressie and Buck Hendon of Forney and Mattie Lou Welchel of Cartersville, Ga.
Mr. Fortenberry was a native of Cherokee County and was the son of the late Jim and Mary Fortenberry. He was a member of Exie Congregational Holiness Church.

Services for Roy Steve Gravette, 46, of Addison will be today at 10 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Ashland.
Mr. Gravette died Wednesday at Hartselle Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Gravette of Addison; a son, Steven Gravette of Addison; three sisters, Martha Fisher of Jacksonville, Melissa Watkins of Ohatchee and Sherleen Pike of Jasper; and three brothers, Frank Gravette of Texas, Lamar Gravette of Coldwater and Danny Joe Gravette of Anniston.
Mr. Gravette was preceded in death by his father, Willie Fred Gravette; his mother, Katherine Gravette; and a brother, Douglas Ford.

OZARK
Services for retired Army Master Sgt. Ollian “Bay” Hazle, 70, of Ozark were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Burial was in Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with full military honors.
Mr. Hazle died Sunday.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Echevarrias of Enterprise, Pamela Lord and her husband, Patrick, of Headland and Rebecca Johnson and her husband, Vernon, of Echo; a sister and her husband, Charlotte and Frankie Pointer of Anniston, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hazle was a 26-year Army veteran and had served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was retired from P.H.I. with 15 years of service and was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Grace Hazle.

Keith
TALLADEGA
Services for Lajuandez Marquez Keith, 21, of Talladega will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Kingdom Life Ministries with Rev. Johnny F. McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Keith died Dec. 29 in Talladega.
Survivors include his parents, Debra D. Keith and Michael Scales, both of Talladega and Yancy Jones of Alpine; two sisters, Kia Garrett of Alpine and Quendricka S. Keith of Talladega; a brother, Calvin Keith of Talladega; and two other survivors, Minnie Lee Jones of Alpine and Fannie Mae Scales of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Steve Millender, Cotney Gooden, Donnell Dye, Henry Curry and Darrell Tuck.
Mr. Keith was a 1999 graduate of Talladega High School and had attended Talladega College for two years. He was employed by NHB Industries and was a member of St. Campbell Baptist Church.

Kraftsow
WEAVER
Graveside services for Charlotte S. Kraftsow, 81, of Weaver will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fort McClellan Cemetery with Major James Dickens officiating and Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. Kraftsow died Dec. 22 at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan K. Mashburn of Smyrna, Ga., Nancy K. Cowan of Colorado and Sandra Beth Dickens of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, David Kraftsow of Birmingham; a sister, Joanne Virgilio, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kraftsow was a native of Pennsylvania and was a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Morton Kraftsow.
