Goodale
Helen Barbara Goodale, 77, of Anniston died Thursday at her home. Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Goodale of Anniston; her mother, Hazel Ball of California; a son, Paul Goodale of California; and a brother, William Ball of Florida.
Mrs. Goodale was a native of Maine, where she lived most her life, and had lived in Calhoun County since 1976.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of East Alabama, P.O. Box 2581, Anniston, AL 36202.

Services for Dorothy J. Rich Goray, 76, of Anniston will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Goray died Wednesday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Services for Geneva B. Higgins, 84, of Ragland will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary in Talladega.
Mrs. Higgins died Thursday at St. Clair Regional Medical Center in Pell City.

Jackson
Graveside services for Mary Alice Jackson, 89, of Anniston, formerly of Columbus, Ga., will be today at 1 p.m. (EST) at Green Acres Cemetery in Columbus with Rev. Albert McCorvey Sr. officiating and Anniston Funeral Service in charge.
Mrs. Jackson died Tuesday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include two nieces, Selma L. Gray and Lorene Grover, both of Columbus; three nephews, Leonard C. Leverette of Hennison, Nev., Moses Leverette of Los Angeles and Richard L. Rosser of Bronx, N.Y.; and a special great-niece and primary caregiver, Brenda Rosser Coleman of Anniston.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from West Point Pepperell after 37 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Jackson.

Services for Rachel Ann Jackson, 36, of Birmingham will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel with Rev. Danny Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Eulaton First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Miss Jackson died Wednesday at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham.

Services for Gussie Miller Lee, 69, of Eastaboga will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope C.M.E. Church with Rev. M.P. Lane officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Church Cemetery with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 5-6 tonight at the funeral home in Talladega.
Mrs. Lee died Saturday at Beverly Health Care Center in Oxford.
Survivors include a son, Michael A. Lee of Eastaboga; three sisters, Annie Lee Gamble of Detroit, Katie Lewis of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Lottie M. Cunningham of Eastaboga; two brothers, Thomas Edward Miller and Willie James Miller, both of Eastaboga, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Era Bailey Lewis, 87, of Woodland will be today at 11 a.m. at Flat Rock Methodist Church with Revs. Ernest Lipham and Leron Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge.
Mrs. Lewis died Wednesday at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include a son, William Thomas "W.T." Lewis of Woodland; three sisters, Mary Watson of Valley, Judy Wilson of LaGrange and Audrey Wood of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Arnold Bailey of Woodland and J.F. Bailey of Valdosta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tommy Lewis, Keith Lewis, Patti Sweet and Wanda Crow, and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Lewis, Keith Lewis, Arnold Bailey, Ricky Bailey, Greg Bailey and Charlie Wilson.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Randolph County and was the daughter of T.J. and Ruby South Bailey. She was employed at Callaway Mills and was a member of Flat Rock Methodist Church, where she was pianist for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Delmar Lewis, and a great-grandchild, Jason Herren.

Mr. Miller died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.

ROANOKE
Services for Virginia Gross Moon, 83, of Roanoke will be today at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home in Roanoke with Revs. Floyd Carmack, Dr. Frank McCook and Maynard McGinty officiating. Burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Moon died Wednesday at Traylor Nursing Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Stewart of Roanoke; a son, Frances Horn of Roanoke; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Singley, Scott Stewart, John Stewart, Ray Watson, Robert Stewart, Ellis Brown, Denson Blackston and Harold Gross.
A former resident of Louisiana, Mrs. Moon was the daughter of Calton H. and Hettie E. Liles Gross. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church and had worked as a nurse's aide. Her husband, Parker Fausett Moon, preceded her in death on Tuesday. Services for both will be today.

Burial will be in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Ogle died Wednesday in Lee County.
Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Ogle of Roanoke; his father and stepmother, Randall and Debbie Ogle of LaGrange, Ga.; his grandparents, Hazel Vaughn of Lineville and Myrte Hardy of Rogersville; a sister, Laura Ruth Ogle of Roanoke; a brother, Richard Yates Ogle of Auburn; two stepsisters, Laura Solomon of Athens, Ga. and Mary Gassaway of LaGrange; and an aunt and uncle, Paula and Glen Miller of LaGrange.
Mr. Ogle was an Opelika native and was a 2001 magna cum laude graduate of Huntingdon College, where he received a bachelor's degree in communication studies. He was a member of the College Programs Council, Dungeon Players, Huntingdon Hosts, and Huntingdon newspaper and literary magazine staffs. He served as treasurer of Lambda Pi Eta, the communication studies honorary. He was Wilson scholar and was named to the dean's list of high honors and "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. He was employed by Cunningham Advertising Agency and was a member of First Baptist Church of Roanoke.

Services for Annie Mae Scruggs, 91, of Oxford will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Riddle and Cabot Holt officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Scruggs died Wednesday at her home.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Clark of Oxford and Sandra Mitchell of Powder Springs, Ga.; two sons, Joe S. Scruggs of Middleburg, Fla. and James A. Scruggs of Frisco, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Cabot Holt, Dennis Daniel, Charles Curry, Todd Ford, Ray Parris and Tommy Haynes. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class of New Haven Baptist Church.
Mrs. Scruggs, formerly of Boaz, had lived in Calhoun County since 1943 and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church since 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Scruggs; and two sons, Maurice G. Scruggs and Robert E. Scruggs.
