Services for Thelma R. McKay, 78, of Ashville will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with Revs. Joe Odom and Dale Chappell officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKay died Wednesday in Gadsden.
Survivors include her husband, William Eldridge McKay of Ashville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael McKay of Ashville and Rev. Ray and Betty McKay of Altoona; a sister and her husband, Clydie and Rayford Hathcock of Pontiac, Mich.; a brother, James Tarrance of Trussville; and three grandchildren, Scott R. McKay, Timothy E. McKay and Christy L. McKay.
Mrs. McKay was a native and lifelong resident of Ashville.

Services for William Sturkie, 46, of Boston, formerly of Ohatchee, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Ohatchee with Rev. Howard Taylor officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Cemetery in Jacksonville with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Sturkie died Dec. 12.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Broadus of Lawrence, Mass.; two sons, William McCoy of Franklin, Mass. and Issac Bethea of Daytona, Fla.; his mother, Susie Hundley of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Johniken of Boston and Evelyn Sturkie of Fitchburg, Mass.; and three brothers, Kelly Dixon and Michael Harden, both of Miami and Willie Curry of Brockton, Mass.
Pallbearers will be cousins and friends.

Memorial services for Mary E. Wolle, 78, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Amy Raser officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wolle died Wednesday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Services for Mary Florence Albright, 96, of Columbus, formerly of LaGrange, will be today at 1 p.m. at Forest Home Christian Church with Revs. Bobby Burroughs and Tim Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to the services.
Mrs. Albright died Thursday at Pine Manor Health Care Facility in Columbus.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Gordon C. and Catherine Albright of Americus, Ga. and David and Ruth Albright of Phenix City; three sisters, Jessie Cromie of Fort Wayne, Ind., Ollie Gay of LaGrange, Ga. and Andrey Lentz of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Robert E. Barfield and Winston Barfield, both of Statesville, N.C. and A.J. Barfield of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Thames, Tim Brown, Kyle Brooks, Bobby Albright, Clint Stukes and Jimmy Dickerson.
Mrs. Albright was born in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Barfield and Sallie Yarbrough Barfield. She had been employed as a seamstress and was a member of Faith Memorial Assembly of God in Atlanta, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Jackson Albright; and two sisters, Mae Taylor and Mattie Lou Foster.

Services for Sister Josephine Brumbach, 86, of Cullman will be today at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Monastery with Rev. Thomas O’Connor officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Monastery Cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home in charge.
Sister Brumbach died Thursday at her home.
Survivors include Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Brumbach of Orange Park, Fla. and Frances Brumbach of Fayetteville, Ga.; and three nieces, Christine Gardner, Debby Brumbach and Bridget Brumbach.
Sister Brumbach was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas Brumbach and Mary Nieman Brumbach; two sisters, Lucille Brumbach and Josephine Brumbach; and three brothers, Howard Brumbach, George Robert Brumbach and John Herman Brumbach. She was a teacher.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Monastery.

Graveside services for Essie Conola Davenport, 94, of Oxford will be today at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Rivers officiating and Miller Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 9-10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davenport died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Morrison of Oxford and Mary Louise Clinkscales of LaGrange, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Cindy Burns and Darla Brown and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dan Morrison, John Clinkscales, John Burns, Jeff Brown, Harold Mooneyham and Ben Grizzard.
Mrs. Davenport was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member Meadowbrook Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sexton Davenport, her parents, and a grandchild, Kyle Clinkscales.

Services for Michael Anthony “Tony” Gannon Jr., 22, of 93 Brookview Drive will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with the funeral home in charge. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Sunday until service time.
Mr. Gannon died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Tate of Anniston; his father, Michael A. Gannon Sr. of Anniston; his stepfather, Willis Bailey of Ashland; two brothers, Jake Ryan Gannon of Oxford and Stephen Lee Bailey of Ashland; grandparents, Hal and Edna Tate of Anniston and Louise Gannon of Anniston; aunts and uncles, Lynda and Dennis Harper of Weaver, Glynda and Dennis Holden of Alexandria, and Bonnie and Jim Fallin of Indiana; Godparents Diane and Joel Hanvey of Anniston.
Pallbearers will be Bobo Bentley, Bobby Groves, Ricky Tate, Mickey Hanvey, Stacey Bennett, Marvin Hanvey, Verlin Tidwell and Dewayne Tidwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Holden and Eric Harper.
Mr. Gannon was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He attended Weaver High School.

Graveside services for Yvonne Jordan Garmon, 58, of Jacksonville will be today at 11 a.m. at Whites Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Burgess Austin officiating and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. Garmon died Thursday in White Plains.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Mathis of White Plains; two sons, Chris Garmon of Crossville and Heath Garmon of Weaver; two brothers, Arlin Jordan of Anniston and Lowell Jordan of Douglasville, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Mathis, Emily Mathis, Joey Mathis, Jacob Garmon, Nicolas Garmon, Corey Garmon, Kyle Garmon and Jordyn Garmon; six nieces and nine nephews.
Pallbearers include Mike Austin, Phillip Garmon, Dweayne Garmon, Mike Garmon, Wallace Garmon and George Garmon.
Mrs. Garmon had been employed at the Anniston Museum of Natural History and was preceded in death by her husband, John Garmon; and a daughter, Tina Michelle Garmon.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alacare Hospice.
