Taylor
Services for Edna Sexton Taylor, 79, of Anniston will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with Dr. Rick Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Raymond "D.R." Taylor; two sons, Donald Max Taylor of Anniston and Ricky W. Taylor of Oxford; a daughter and her husband, Jane and Billy Andrews of Anniston; five sisters, Billie Sides of Anniston, Opal Sue Adams, Joanne Middlebrook and Peggy Williams, all of Oxford and Johnnie Pendergrass of Florida, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mrs. Taylor had lived in Choccolocco 46 years. She attended Harmony Baptist Church of Choccolocco and Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oxford.

Graveside services for Margaret Thacker, 74, of Eastaboga will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bryan Camp officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thacker died Thursday at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Thacker of Eastaboga; two sons, Royce Thacker of Coldwater and Ronnie Thacker of Bynum; a daughter, Carol Gregory of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three sisters, Jane Thornhill and Dorothy Browning, both of Gadsden and Frankie Thompson of Leesburg; five grandchildren, Rodney Thacker, Eddie Gregory, Glenn Gregory, Carrie Cramer and Holly Thacker, and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thacker was a native of Gadsden and a longtime resident of Eastaboga.

Services for Sallie Wagner, 76, of Hobson City will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jenifer Church of Christ with John Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Ms. Wagner died Sunday in Clay County.
Survivors include a daughter, Alla Taylor of Talladega; a son, Roger Wagner of Hobson City; two sisters, Blanche Williams of Birmingham and Dorothy Adams of Anniston, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Ms. Wagner was a member of Jenifer Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Wagner, and a grandchild, Robin Wagner.

TALLADEGA
Graveside services for Maggie Young, 93, of Talladega will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ashland City Cemetery with Dr. Robert Paul officiating and Talladega Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6:30-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young died Thursday at her home.
Survivors include two sons, Huel Young of Pell City and Lowell Young of Talladega; a sister, Jacqueline Brooks of Talladega; two brothers, Roy Thomas of Birmingham and Kartha Thomas of Anniston, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Young, Lee Thomas, David Thomas, Hubert Hallman, Frank Thomas and Jim Young.
Mrs. Young was a native of Ashland and was a graduate of Clay County High School. She was a former resident of Alexander City and had lived in Talladega 22 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilden Young; and four brothers, Huel Thomas, Chadwick Thomas, Kermit Thomas and Prentice Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity.

Services for Minnie Wilson Ball, 84, of Anniston will be 6 p.m. Monday at Ervin Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.E. Merriweather officiating. The family will receive friends Monday after 10 a.m. at Ervin Funeral Chapel of the Chimes. Burial will take place in California.
Mrs. Ball died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her brother, Clarence Wilson of Anniston.

ROANOKE
Services for Kyle Blackmon, 8, of Roanoke, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Revs. Ricky Emery, Derick Farr and Shannon Mapp officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The body will be at the church for one hour prior to the services.
The child died Friday at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include his parents, Dwight and Janie Blackmon of Roanoke; three sisters, Crystal Blackmon, Mary Earnest and Nicole Blackmon, all of Roanoke; a brother, Timothy Blackmon of Roanoke; grandparents Jimmy and Opal Blackmon of Roanoke, Melba Earnest of Roanoke and Robert Earnest of Woodland.
Pallbearers will be Chris Cochran, Cody Cochran, James Norred, Daryl Farr, Derick Boseman and David Sudduth.
Kyle was born in Birmingham to James Dwight and Janie Ruth Earnest Blackmon. He was a student and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Amos Box of Dearmanville; two sons, Cameron Vince Box and Corey Amos Box of Dearmanville; a daughter Brittany Magouirk of Oxford; a sister Anita Margaret Huey and her husband Lt. Col. John M. Huey of Ft. Buchannan, Puerto Rico; a brother Buddy Lee Box of Cullman; his father and stepmother, Allen H. and Sandra Box of Dearmanville; his mother and stepfather Barbara and Mike White of Anniston; and his grandmother, Dorothy Box of Dearmanville.
Pallbearers will be Rob Holland, Tim Garrett, Joel Russell, Greg Murphy, Bill Alvis, Greg Hicks and Owen Griffith. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Stephens and Chris Murphy.
Mr. Box was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was employed with Beneco Construction Company. He was a Methodist.

Services for Wanda Lee Denson Dobbs, 77, of Anniston will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel with William B. Kughn and Rev. C.O. Grinstead officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dobbs died Saturday in Alexander City.
Survivors include her husband, John Dobbs of Anniston; two daughters Kimberley Dobbs of Atlanta and Danice Dobbs Bromberg and her husband, Charles, of Alexander City; a son Marty Dobbs and his wife, Linda, of Griffin, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Kelli Roberts, Jonathan Mills, Elizabeth Pool, Michael Pool, Jill Dobbs, Matthew Dobbs and Taylor Dobbs, and; a great-grandchild Thomas Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Mills, Robert Mills, Michael Pool, John Niemann, Trey Williams and Scott Roberts.
Mrs. Dobbs was a native of Anniston and lived there most of her life. She was the former owner and operator of MarVel Cleaners.

Services for Irma Chloe Whitley Fowler, 90, of Munford, formerly of Oxford, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Revs. Susie Knedlik and Jerry Foote officiating. Burial will be in Oxford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today 2-4 p.m.
Mrs. Fowler died Friday at her home.
Survivors include a daughter Janice Fowler Reynolds of Oxford; a son Thomas R. Fowler of Munford; two sisters, Faye Currie of Oxford and Alma Blake of Trussville; five grandchildren, Cindy R. Donaldson, Patrick R. Reynolds, Samuel B. Fowler, David M. Fowler and Melissa F. Brooks; six great-grandchildren Lila Brooke Donaldson, Jacob Fowler, Kristin Fowler, Seth Fowler, Micaela Fowler and Alayna Fowler, and; caregivers Mae Tolbert and Mary Cowan.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Reynolds, Mark Donaldson, Charles Blake, Bart Fowler, David Fowler and Robbie Brooks.
Mrs. Fowler was a native of Delta and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a 1930 graduate of Lineville High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Taft Fowler; three sisters Inez Whitley Neighbors, Ann Whitley Smith and Jimmie Whitley Daugherty, and; two brothers William Thomas Whitley and Thomas Swope Whitley. The family will accept flowers or donations to Lakeview Baptist Church Building Fund in Oxford or Bethelem United Methodist Church Building Fund in Munford.
