CENTRE
Services for Conn Wright, 61, of Centre will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Centre Memorial Chapel with Revs. Elmo Alexander and George Flemister officiating. Burial will be in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright died Thursday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Wright of Centre; two sons and their wives, Wayne and Lisa Wright and David and Tabatha Wright, all of Centre; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Ralph Crowe of Cedar Bluff; his mother, Sadie Wright of Centre; his mother-in-law, Zella Stepps of Centre; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ann Gowen of Rome, Ga., Julia and George Coheley of Leesburg and Lisa and John Boggs of Cedar Bluff; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Richard and Joyce Wright, David and Martha Wright and Neal and Rudie Wright, all of Centre and Jim Wright of Cedar Bluff; and three grandchildren, Josh Wright, Derrick Wright and Allison Crowe.
Pallbearers will be James Johnson, Kenny Gossett, Jimmie Little, Harry Moon, Don Mullins, Mac Wilson, Roger Gossett and Arthur Anthony. Honorary pallbearers will be Inland employees and retirees, Steve and Mildred Treece, Gaines and Nell Brewer, Dr. Parmer and staff, Dr. Rita Sloan, and the 7th floor nurses and staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wright retired after 40 years of service at Inland Rome. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Wright; a grandson, Christopher Dylan Crowe; and father-in-law, David Stepps.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Cherokee County Hospice and Home Health.

Services for Nellie Beatrice Pitts Hickman, 82, of Saks will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jimmy Nunnally and Mike Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Hickman died Friday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Vivian Johnson and her husband, Pat Johnson, of Saks; two sons, Phillip Allen Hickman of Decatur and Michael Lee Hickman of Anniston; four sisters, Ivy Stephens of Jacksonville, Etta Mange of Anniston, Bessie Cardin of Jacksonville, Esther Turner of Weaver; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be LaDale Johnson, Steve Reaves, Larry Stephens, Wilburn Johnson, Wayne Rhodes, John Reaves, Paul Pitts and James Noles.
Mrs. Hickman was a native of Saks and a former employee of Classe Ribbon. She was a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Hickman, and a grandson, Leslie Johnson.

Graveside services for Cecil Baldwin Sutter, 84, of Birmingham will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
Mr. Sutter died Saturday at his residence.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Doris Street of Birmingham, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sutter was a native and lifelong resident of Vestavia Hills. He was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of the University of Alabama. He retired from the Bama Demolition Company in 1976. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Alabama Business Association.

Services for Robert Lynn Watkins, 56, of Birmingham will be today at 2 p.m. at Usrey Chapel in Talladega. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Watkins died Friday University Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Gail Joiner of Talladega; two brothers, Hugh Watkins and Tim Watkins, both of Huntsville, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Joiner, Derek Phillips, Buddy Holcomb, Scott Johns, Joe Stallworth and Jamie Conner.
Honorary Pallbearers will Cress Joiner, Tyril Johns, Becky Johns, Cheryl Bailey, Chance Bailey, Darlene Connor and Tommy Challender.
Mr. Watkins was a native of Talladega and had lived in Birmingham for the past 25 years. He was a member of Bemiston Baptist Church and was a retired family therapist.

Mrs. Banik died Monday at Portbridge Hospice in Dunwoody, Ga.

Survivors include two sons, Cory Banik and Christopher L. Poe, both of Sioux City; two brothers, Johnny Faulkner and his wife, Maxine, of LaFayette, Ga. and Larry L. Faulkner and his wife, Barbara of Calhoun, Ga.; his father, Paul L. Faulkner of Summerville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Banik was born in Chattooga County, Ga. and reared in Cherokee County. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene C. Banik; her mother, Maggie Bullard Faulkner; and a brother, Jerry Faulkner.

Mr. Christopher died Monday at his home.

Services for Wilma Jo "Billie" Moore Cranford of Albertville were Nov. 5 at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville with Adams Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Cranford died Nov. 2 at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Cranford of Albertville; a brother, Bobby L. Moore of Birmingham; a sister, Pricilla Moore McCrickard of Albertville; three half-sisters, Dorothy Worley and Audrey Tudor of Gadsden and Inez Hester of Guntersville; two half-brothers, Robert Chenault of Pennsylvania and Bill Chenault of Florida; eight nieces and nephews 16 great-nieces and nephews; and a special sister, Margie Hutcheson.
Pallbearers were Bill Cranford, Jim Cranford, Dennis Hutcheson, Jim Hutcheson, Philip Hutcheson and Floyd Powell.
Mrs. Cranford was born in Lauderdale County. She had a green house in Albertville for 20 years; was a member of the Alabama Nurserymen's Association and the Southern Nurserymen's Association. She taught botany to students at Snead College and Northeast State College. She had a background in Landscape Design and designed the gate at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville. She was active in creating new plant varieties and cross pollination. She was actively involved in raising Tennessee Walking Horses and several breeds of dogs.
Mrs. Cranford was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Moore Chenault; her stepfather, Claude Chenault; her father, Joseph V. Moore; and a nephew.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Davenport of Munford; a son, Jacob Davenport of Munford; his mother, Betty Fowler of Sylacauga; his father, Alton Davenport of Sylacauga; his stepmother, Joanne Davenport of Sylacauga; a brother, Randy Davenport of Sylacauga; a sister, Sherry Talton of Sylacauga; a stepsister, Donna Nickleson of Sylacauga; a stepbrother, Tim Thacker of Sylacauga; an aunt, Frances Davenport of Anniston; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Davenport was a native of Sylacauga and had lived in Munford for the past nine years. He was a 1979 graduate of Sylacauga High School. He worked as an industrial welder and pipe fitter, and was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 52.

Mr. Hall was a native of Tallapoosa County, but had lived in Clay County since 1977. He worked as a machinist in the steel industry; and was a member of Ashland Church of God.

Mr. Nestor was a truck driver for Tyson Foods. He was a Seventh Day Adventist.
