Richardson
WOODLAND
Services for Rufus R. Richardson, 77, of Woodland will be today at 2 p.m. at Napoleon Church of Christ with Terry Langley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Richardson died Monday at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include a half brother, Joe "Curley" Hayes Jr. of Woodland, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the male members of Napoleon Church of Christ.
Mr. Richardson was born in Randolph County and was the son of Walker and Lola Smith Richardson. He had been employed in the construction business and was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ.

Rogers
MCCORD'S CROSS ROADS
Services for Charles Thomas Rogers, 67, of McCord's Cross Roads will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Old Nazareth Baptist Church with Revs. David Young, Gordon Hudgins, Eugene Agan and Doyle Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Old Nazareth Cemetery with Perry Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home in Centre.
Mr. Rogers died Monday at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden.
Survivors include a brother, Dewell Rogers of Centre; two sisters, Helen Garrett and Louise Hunter, both of Centre, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Rogers was a native of Cherokee County and was the son of the late Willis and Etta Mae Kerr Rogers. He was a member of Old Nazareth Baptist Church.

Spinks
CENTRE
Services for Jonathon Brian Spinks, 11, of Centre will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home with Revs. O.B. Works Jr., Taylor Gallman and Artis Decker officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The youth died Saturday.
Survivors include his parents, Susan and Jerry Gossett of Centre and Brian and Wendy Spinks of Boaz; two brothers, Chris Spinks and Blake Gossett, both of Centre; a sister, LeAnn Spinks of Centre; and his grandparents, Gary Spinks and Georgia and Lex Clowdus, all of Gadsden, C.T. and Helen Abney of Attalla, Willene Alexander of Centre and Jerry and Linda Dunn of Boaz.
Pallbearers will be Michael Spinks, Jeff Abney, Joey Maxwell, Jared Gill, D.J. Hutchens, Gerald Cullen, Ryan Spurling and Bruce Bynum.
The youth was born in Etowah County and was a student at Centre Middle School. He was a Baptist.

Anderson
PIEDMONT
Services for James Edward Anderson, 71, of Piedmont will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Gary McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson died Sunday at Piedmont Health Care Center.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara R. Anderson of Piedmont; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Sara Ward, Cathy and Randy Posey and Lynne and Ryan Kimmerling, all of Piedmont, and Gale and Danny Baker of Holly Pond; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sharon Anderson of Piedmont; his mother, Alice Anderson of Piedmont; two sisters, Ora Lee Floyd and Frances Thompson, both of Piedmont; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was a native and resident of Cherokee County for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army
Korean War veteran, a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ, and a retired farmer and logger. He was preceded in death by a son, David H. Anderson; his father, David A. Anderson; and a grandson, Hayden Kimmerling.

Services for Lula Bell Hallman, 97, of Ashland will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jessie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Clay County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Mrs. Hallman died Sunday in Clay County Nursing Home.
Survivors include a grandson, Jeff Brown of Rainbow City; a granddaughter, Becky Hallman Savage of Huntsville; and the children of Gene Hallman.
Mrs. Hallman was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, a beautician and the oldest member of County Line Baptist Church.

Graveside services for David Alan Henson, 72, of Oxford were Sunday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gerald Clark officiating.
Mr. Henson died Saturday at the V.A. Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Gladys Henson of Oxford; a sister and her husband, Barbara and Stan Castle of Tacoma, Wash.; nine stepchildren, Judy Mundy of Oxford, Barbara Collum of Anniston, Libby Smith of Birmingham, Gene Freeman of Grand Bay, Christy Key of Weaver, Margie Jackson of Rockingham, N.C., Linda Hughes of Anniston, Jani Barker of Anniston and Martha Clark of Weaver; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Tyler Clark, Jessie Greenwood, Johnny Clark and Davey Heath; and friends, Bob Gilmore and Sid Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were retired employees of Building #106 at Anniston Army Depot.
Mr. Henson served 16 years in the U.S. Army, retired from the Anniston Army Depot, and was a Lutheran. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

WELLINGTON
Services for George Wilbun Hodges, 74, of Wellington will be today at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Revs. Whitt Hibbs, Theron Williams and LaVerne Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Hodges died Saturday at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include daughters Carolyn Johnson of Prattville and Linda Fay Adkison of Ohatchee; sons David Hodges of Montgomery and Wendell George Hodges of Wellington; sisters Audrey Owens of Alexandria and Inez Amos of Alexandria; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Edward Putnam, Jimmy Putnam, Troy Wilkerson, Nathan Wilkerson, Pumpkin Tuner and Boyd Hodges.
Mr. Hodges was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and retired from U.S. Pipe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hodges, brother Bill Hodges, and sisters Gladys Putnam and Ruby Kelley.
