LINEVILLE
Services for Claudia Lou Davis McCain, 93, of Lineville will be today at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lineville with Rev. Jerry Herston and Drek Dingler officiating. Burial will be in Lineville City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends until one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCain died Tuesday at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette M. Todd of Birmingham and Ottilu Upchurch of Ashland; five grandchildren, Lisa Ann Bell, James Randall Todd, Jeffery Thompson Todd, Donna U. Mastin and Charles David Upchurch; and six great-grandchildren, Brennan Thomas Bell, Sloane Marie Bell, Jackson Robert Todd, Derek Wayne Mastin, James Tyler Mastin and Breana Rena Upchurch.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Todd, David Upchurch, Jeff Mastin, Bobby Wheeles, George Simpson, Tommy Hudson, Dr. George Smith and Ed Pruet. Honorary pallbearers will be Brennan Bell, Derek Mastin, Hilton McCain, Buddy Pettus, Glover Whaley, Johnny Upchurch, Buster Parker, Jack Ruppell and Earnest Wilkinson.
Mrs. McCain was a native of Locust, Grove, Ga., and had lived in Clay County most of her life. She had been employed with Alabama Power Co. as a bookkeeper and cashier for Ashland and Lineville for five years. She was president of the PTA at Clay County High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lineville, where she served as president of the women's missionary union 20 years and as a member of the Interse Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ottis McCain, and a son-in-law, Robert R. Todd.

Services for Dorothy Payne Norton, 76, of Oxford will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home with Larry Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-9 tonight and 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norton died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, John Morrison and James Norton; three daughters, Nancy Watson, Patricia Silas and Dorothy Lynn Medders; a sister, Lucille Woolridge, 19 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Norton, Daniel Norton, Michael Norton, Lonny Watson, Chris McGinnis, Jon-Jon Medders, Rod Johnson and Jacob Rollins.
Mrs. Norton had lived in Oxford all of her life. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and had worked for Butterworth Nursing Agency. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie Morrison and Mike Norton.

Services for Lee Adkison, 27, of Spring Garden, will be today at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gidley officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Campground Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Adkison died Tuesday in Cherokee County.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Linda Adkison of Spring Garden; a sister, Deborah Anderson and her husband, Ernie, of Piedmont; his grandmother, Jewell Adkison of Spring Garden; and a niece, Alissa Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Allen Adkison, Gary Adkison, Josh Adkison, Jeffery Radar, Wendol Fortenberry and Charles Fortenberry.
Mr. Adkison was a native and lifelong resident of the Spring Garden and Piedmont area. He was a construction worker.

Services for Lillie Bell Curry, 95, of Atlanta, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Union Springs Baptist Church in Talladega with Rev. Dr. Samuel Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Cox Funeral Home of Atlanta in charge. The body will be at the church an hour before services.
Mrs. Curry died Nov. 30 at A.G. Rose Home in Atlanta.
Survivors include a daughter, Nellie White of Summerville, Ga.; a son, Willie Lawler of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Curry was a member of Kelly Springs Baptist Church; and was formerly employed as a home care servicer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Eliza Lawler; her husband, Henry Curry; her twin bother, Willie Lawler; a son, Julius Henry Curry; and a daughter, Naomi Thompson.

Mr. Freeman died Wednesday in Cleburne County.
Survivors include his parents, Elton and Gail Freeman of Woodland; a sister, Page Freeman of Woodland; and his grandpar-ents, Myrtice Freeman of Woodland and Daniel and Loriane Buchanan of Bowdon, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Andy Harrington, Eddie Harrington, Marvin Downs, William Downs, Joseph Hayes and Jodie Eason.
Mr. Freeman was born in Carroll County, Ga. He had been employed in the construction business; and was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Freeman.

Graveside services for Hwi S. Horn, 66, of Alexandria, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gerald Clark officiating and Chapel Hill Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends October 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Horn died Tuesday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina L. Cohorn of San Antonio; a son, Leonard Horn of Anniston; a sister, Hwiyung Lee of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Krista Greer Cohorn; and a niece, Boram Lee.
She was a native of Seoul, Korea and had been a resident of Alexandria since 1974. She was retired from Noble Army Hospital and attended Covenant Life Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Horn was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Horn.
