Moore
WADLEY
Services for Andy Moore, 19, of Wadley will be today at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church with Revs. Ray Franklin and Jimmy Brand officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends until one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore died Thursday at Randolph County Hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Jane Moore of Wadley; two sisters, Kristin Michele Moore of Roanoke and Robin Leanne Hodges of Wadley; a niece, Kara Leigh Goode; a nephew, Evan Gage Hodges, and several aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Joel Moore, Danny Moore, Terry Moore, Ben Kraus, Brandon Christian, Blake Christian, Ben Murphy and Vernon Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Brown, Robbie Bailey and James Jordan.
Mr. Moore was born in Lee County and was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was a graduate of Wadley High School and was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church.

HOMESTEAD, N.Y.
Services for Robert Smith, 81, of Homestead, formerly of Anniston, will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.
Mr. Smith died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Homestead.

Stewart
Services for Lena R. Stewart, 78, of Anniston will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.
Mrs. Stewart died Friday at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Margie M. Stewart Zurovec of Corpus Christi, Texas; a son, William J. Stewart Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Salvatore Rossitto of Hartford, Conn.; two sisters, Rose Szpak of Hartford and Vera Conner of Middletown, Conn.; a caregiver, William Stewart of Anniston; four grandchildren, John Michael Zurovec, Amanda D. Zurovec, Daniel S. Zurovec and Richele Gudino, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stewart was a native of Middletown, Conn., and had worked for Pratt-Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut and Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter, 1201 Parkwood Drive, Anniston, AL 36201.

Vickery
Services for Elizabeth H. Vickery, 92, of Anniston will be today at 1 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden with C.C. McCain officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vickery died Thursday.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and Gordon Sauls, Gayle and Doyle Johnson and Charlyn Dooly; a sister, Miriam Moncovich; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Earl and Susan Sauls, Tim and Teresa Sauls, Jeff and Debbie Sauls, John and Vanessa Sauls, Karen and Clyde Replogle, Cindy and Mike Hammond, Melissa Medlock, J. Chip Holmes, Emma and Lance Ziska and Charles and Jennifer Holmes, 15 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Vickery had lived in Anniston seven years and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Coates Bend. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie C. Dooly and Rev. F.C. Vickery; her parents, Wade and Emma Longshore Holman; a stepdaughter, Betty Williams; and three sisters and two brothers.

Services for Harold "Boots" Wright, 80, of Weaver will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Weaver Congregational Holiness Church with Revs. Alton Parris and Floyd Willis officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens with Chapel Hill Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright died Thursday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Wright of Weaver; two sons and their wives, Rev. Charles S. and Pauline Wright and Terry and Gaynell Wright, all of Jacksonville; a daughter-in-law, Janice Wright; a sister, Hazel Taliaferro of Piedmont; eight grandchildren, Greg Wright, Randy Wright, Donna White, Mitchell Wright, Tonya Bagley, Jamie Wright, Jeannie Maye and Pam Walker, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Greg Wright, Randy Wright, Mitchell Wright, Jamie Wright, Michael White, Dewey Sams and Jason Crumbley.
Mr. Wright was a native of Cherokee County and had lived in Calhoun County most of his life. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot and was preceded in death by a son, Harold Daniel Wright.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.
Graveside services for Annie Mae Burton, 85, of Chattanooga, formerly of Calhoun and Talladega counties, will be Friday at noon at Eden Hills Cemetery in Anniston with Wallace Powers officiating and Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burton died Monday at her home.
Survivors include a sister, Rosa Gordon of Chattanooga, and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Burton was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

Services for Nola Duncan, 70, of Weaver will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Word Alive International Outreach with Pastor Kent Mattox and Rev. Tim Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery with Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Duncan died Tuesday at Baptist Montclair.
Survivors include her husband, James Duncan of Weaver; her mother, Susie Bowden of Gadsden; a daughter, Darla Duncan of Weaver; a son, Curtis Duncan of Gadsden; a sister, Barbara Stoffergen of Gadsden; a brother, Ted Elseberry of Gadsden, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Harrelson, Rodney Griffin, Steve Waters, Greg Byrn, Jimmy Morris and Dr. Jose Caballero.
Mrs. Duncan was a lifelong resident of Weaver and had been a nurse for 13 years. She founded the Women Ablaze Foundation and the Dorcus Home for abused women and children. She also ministered in Cypress and Germany, was a member of Word Alive International Outreach, and was an active missionary. She was preceded in death by her father, Lindsey Elseberry Sr.; a brother, Lindsey Elseberry Jr.; and a sister, Louise Philmore.

Services for Katheryn Bonds Gilpin, 84, of Anniston will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel with Rev. Celia Cox officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gilpin died Tuesday in Anniston.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky Leahey and Mary Sue Cobb, both of Anniston; two sons, Jim Bonds of Anniston and Tommy Bonds of Orange Beach, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gilpin was a native of Talladega and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Eulaton Baptist Church.

Services for Milton Lamar Johnson, 54, of Bloomington, formerly of Talladega County, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Graveside services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Oldfield Methodist Cemetery in Sylacauga. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday in Lincoln.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Johnson of Bloomington and Mogen Johnson of Stockton, Ga.; his mother, Gladys Irene Dobson of Talladega; three sisters, Barbara Legendre of Glendora, Calif., and Brenda Grogan and Mildred Goray, both of Talladega; five brothers, Clifton Johnson of Washington, Mo., Wayne Johnson of Valpariso, Ind., Robert Johnson of Cullman, Paul Johnson of Talladega and Bob Dobson of Jacksonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bynum, Jeff Cook, Clifton Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Robert Johnson, Paul Johnson and Bob Dobson. Honorary pallbearer will be Chad Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Talladega County where he had lived most of his life. He was a real estate appraiser and was a Vietname War veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Edward Johnson.

GAYLESVILLE
Services for Rosa Lee Jones, 87, of Gaylesville will be today at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Storey officiating. Burial will be in Faith Cemetery with Perry Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Jones died Tuesday at DeKalb Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, James and JoAnn Jones and Hubert and Kathy Jones, all of Gaylesville; a daughter and her husband, Frances and Hugh Massingill of Resaca, Ga.; a sister, Lucille Weaver of Tunnell Hill, Ga., eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard McCullough, Benny Nicholson, W.E. Watwood, Johnny Massingill, Evan Massingill and Ben Morris.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Cherokee County and was the daughter of the late William and Bessie Watkins Brewster. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Jones Sr.
