Altman
WADLEY
Services for Hiram Altman Jr., 55, of Wadley will be today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Richie Farrow officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time.
Mr. Altman died Sunday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ester Altman of Wadley; a daughter, Lisa Dorough of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sons, James Brown of Lineville, John Brown of Dalton, Ga., David Brown of Marbury and William Brown of Hawaii; his father, Hiram Altman Sr. of Ringgold, Ga.; a sister, Kay McMichen of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Richard Altman of Ringgold, and five grandchildren.
Mr. Altman was a native of Folkston, Ga., and a former resident of Prattville. He had lived in Randolph County five years and was a graduate of West Georgia College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a member of the Roanoke Lions Club and Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Johnson Altman.

Graveside services for Hellen Inez Borders, 78, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Middleton Cemetery in Ohatchee with Dr. Deryl Wood officiating and K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Borders died Thursday at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Johnson of Birmingham; a son, Lloyd Leon Borders of Jacksonville; a daughter-in-law, Julia Borders of Jacksonville; a sister, Ellen Johnson of Birmingham; six grandchildren, Kevin Borders, Kristy Borders, Kenny Borders, Judy Miller, Gary Johnson and Kimberly Hicks, and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Borders was a native of Calhoun County and a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Borders, and a daughter, Margaret Hicks.

Bush
ASHLAND
Services for Claudie M. Bush, 88, of Ashland will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Clay County Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Willis officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Park in Alexander City. The family will receive friends after 5:30 p.m. today and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bush died Thursday at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include a son, James Bush of Ashland; two sisters, Lena Pearle Holman of Wetumpka and Mary Elizabeth Wray of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two grandchildren, Reba Patterson and Kevin Tomlin, and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Allen, Bob Allen, Rayford Brand, Hubert Hallman, Larry Hallman and Ledford Tinney.
Mrs. Bush was a native of Elmore County and had lived most of her life in the Ray Community of Alexander City before moving to Ashland. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bush.

Memorial services for Philip H. Chadbourne, 51, of Piedmont will be today at 11 a.m. at Goshen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ledbetter officiating and K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mr. Chadbourne died Wednesday at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include his companion, Beth Bradley of Piedmont; his mother, Nina Chadbourne of Birmingham; his stepmother, Betty Chadbourne of Hueytown; two sisters, Nancy Chadbourne of Hueytown and Sally Davis of Arlington; two brothers, Col. William C. Chadbourne of Washington D.C. and Robert Chadbourne of Germany, and three nieces and three nephews.
Mr. Chadbourne was a native of Jefferson County and had lived in Cherokee County 16 years. He was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Carey Chadbourne.

Services for Veronica Shavon Fluker, 19, of Talladega will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. George Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Ms. Fluker died Monday in Talladega.
Survivors include her financee, Damion Tanner of Talladega; her parents, Priscilla Fluker and Michael Fluker, both of Talladega; a brother, Michael Fluker Jr. of Talladega; a stepbrother, Antwon Hawkins of Talladega; and her grandparents, Lee and Magnolia Cross and Joseph and Elizabeth Fluker, all of Talladega and Ernest Chatman of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Pallbearers will be uncles.
Ms. Fluker was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her daughter, Daniya A. Tanner, also died on Monday.

Mr. Long died Tuesday at Beckwood Manor in Anniston.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Pulliam of Springville; a son, Marion Long Jr. of New York; five sisters, Helen Woody, Mary E. Ethraim, and Dollie Yarbrough, all of Springville, Jaunita Allen of Birmingham and Arline Bothwell of Ashville; two brothers, John Greer of Gadsden and Jimmy Greer of Springville.
Mr. Long had lived in New York for 30 years before returning to Alabama to live in Gadsden.

Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will at the church an hour prior to services.

Survivors include his companion, Jeanette Smith of Anniston; a daughter, Jacquelyn Osborne Barclay of Anniston; a son, James A. Osborne Jr. of Greenville, Ky.; his mother, Burnett Billingsley of Anniston; two sisters, Bessie Goggins and Martha J. Phillips, both of Anniston, and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert C. Baker, Luther Almon, Earnest T. Goggins, Robin Goggins, James Gilly, Cameron Goggins and Thomas Phillips.
Mr. Osborne was a member of Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be uncles.
Her mother, Veronica Shavon Fluker, died with her daughter.
