Services for Gertrude Frances Blankenship, 75, of Anniston will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hillside Baptist Church with the Revs. Donald Hamilton and Bill Green officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blankenship died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

PLANO, Texas
Services for Cleola Warren Cash, 94, of Plano, formerly of Anniston, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with the Rev. Randy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cash died Saturday in Plano.
Survivors include a son, Jack Edward Cash of Plano; a sister, Reba Norton of Edwardsville; three grandchildren, Bryan Cash, Dennis Cash and Karen Montgomery; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Warren, Marlin Cobb, Herbert Mundy, Dennis Cash, Bryan Cash and Matthew Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class of Ruhama Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cash was a native of Cleburne County and had lived in Calhoun County more than 60 years. She lived in Plano the past month. She was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church and was a retired sales associate from Hudson's Department Store, where she worked more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Cash; and a grandchild, Michael Alan Cash.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Services for Nelda Hood Fannin, 68, of Alpine will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Dr. Mahlon Felkins officiating. Burial will be in Laniers Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fannin died Sunday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Fannin of Alpine; two daughters and their husbands, Anne and Fred Bailey and Kathy and Randy Shell, all of Childersburg; three sons, Lowell Fannin Jr. and Tony Fannin, both of Alpine, and Dwight Fannin of Hoover; a sister, Vernette Pickens of Killen; a brother, Bob Hood of Florence; and six grandchildren, Jason Shell, Julian Shell, Joe Shell, Brandon Bailey, Daniel Bailey and Britney Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Fred Bailey and Randy Shell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewitt Caldwell, Gerald Crews, James Caldwell, John Allen and Marshall Patrick.
Mrs. Fannin was a native of Double Springs in Winston County and had lived in Talladega County 50 years. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and was a housewife.

WEAVER
Graveside services for Lessie Reagan Hawthorne, 83, of Weaver, formerly of Cherokee County, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sand Rock Cemetery with Larry Tucker officiating and Jordan Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home in Centre.
Mrs. Hawthorne died Saturday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Martha "Toots" Stallings and Bill W. Stallings of Weaver and Dorothy "Pep" Morris and Leon Morris of Lake Jackson, Texas; a brother and his wife, Raymond and Minnie Coker Reagan of Collinsville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephews.
Mrs. Hawthorne was a native of Cherokee County and was the daughter of the late Grady and Jessie Burk Reagan. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt B. Hawthorne.

Services for George Horn, 96, of Talladega will be today at 3 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Moates officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Horn died Sunday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include a niece, Mary Helen Butler of Talladega; a caretaker, Brenda Staples of Talladega; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Pruitt and Ona Mae Sides, both of Talladega; a sister, Lottie Dial of Talladega; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dexter Butler, Sanford Pruitt, Gerry Taylor, Wayne Mellon, Charles Wood and William Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be James "Bud" Swafford, Frank Wood, Wayne Pruitt and Kenneth Staples.
Mr. Horn was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Horn; and his wife, Olean Horn.

Mr. Owens died Sunday at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Veal of Roanoke, Jennifer George of Rock Mills and Karen Beluscak of Alabaster; two sons, Donald Owens and Curtis Owens, both of Roanoke; seven sisters, Elizabeth Nance of Modesto, Calif., Ruth Woodlee of Woodland, Isabelle Goldin of Anniston, Opal Parker of Piedmont and Rosie Trantham, Betty Barker and Helen Haywood, all of Heflin; a brother, Hubert Owens of Rock Mills; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Patrick George Jr., Jim Pike, Thad Owens, Doug Smith, Stephen Fields, Edward Gabriel, Kevin Smith and Mike Pike.
Mr. Owens was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and was born in Cleburne County. He was the son of Salomon and Minnie Lee Chapman Owens and was a member of the Church of God. He had been employed by Jones Sheet Metal Company and was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Burke Owens.

Services for Lola Vernell "Nell" Parks, 80, of Talladega will be today at 11 a.m. at Bemiston Baptist Church with Dr. Steve McVey and the Revs. Ray Foreman and John Whetstone officiating. Burial will be in Hepzibah Cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Parks died Sunday at her home at Talladega Health Care Center.
Survivors include a sister, Velma Parks of Talladega; a brother-in-law and his wife, Julius and Vara Parks of Milton, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Margie Cooley Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Parks was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a member of Bemiston Baptist Church and was retired from Belk Hudson Department Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Parks; and a daughter, Sheila Parks.

Services for James Ross "Buz" Payne III, 53, of Lincoln were Monday at 2 p.m. at Eureka United Methodist Church in Lincoln. The Rev. Robert Hurst officiated, and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory was in charge. Private graveside services will be today at 3:30 p.m. at the church cemetery.
Mr. Payne died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Cooper Payne of Lincoln; two sons Richard Payne and his wife, Luann, of Virginia and Stephen Bonner of Lincoln; a daughter, Carrie Dement of Pell City; his parents, James and Majorie Payne of Tuscaloosa; a brother, Lee Payne of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Nancy Payne of Tuscaloosa; four grandchildren, Lauren Payne, Emily Payne, Abbey Payne and Caroline Payne; and two nieces, Traci Payne and Erica Payne.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Bonner, Wayne Cooper, Steve Cooper, Chris Cooper, Chuck Payne, Richard Payne, Lee Payne and Terry Rodenberry.
Mr. Payne was a longtime resident of Talladega County and was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church in Lincoln and the Oma Schrimsher Sunday School Class. He was retired from Roadway Inc. and was a graduate of the University of Alabama.
