Graveside services for Corine Janie Tuck, 94, of Anniston will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Edgemont Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Bentley officiating and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tuck died Wednesday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Turner

ALEXANDRIA

Services for William Curtis Turner, 76, of Alexandria will be today at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Revs. Horace Jennings and Allen Jinks officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Turner died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Mindrel Turner of Alexandria; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy Turner and Shirley and Ben Blackmon, all of Anniston and Barbara and Phillip Stevens of Alexandria; two sons and their wives, Marcal and Michelle Turner of Alexandria and Terry and Debra Turner of Oxford; a sister, Frances Turner Casey of Crestwood, Mo.; two brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Glenn Turner and Millard Grey Turner, both of Alexandria, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rufus Holland, Joel Brown, Everett Martin, Jerry Fraser, Dustin Fraser, Michael Turner, Greg Turner and Gary Truitt. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class of New Canaan Baptist Church.

Mr. Turner was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and was a Navy and World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lumas and Lena Turner; two sisters, Helen Henderson and Shirley Jean Turner; a brother, Clarence Turner; and a grandchild, Jason Bean.

Services for Virginia White, 89, of Auburn, formerly of Clay County, will be announced by Clay County Funeral Home.

Mrs. White died Tuesday at Bethany House in Auburn.

Services for Minnie Lee Waddell Dear, 77, of Anniston will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel with William B. Kughn officiating. Burial will be in Eulaton First Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dear died Tuesday.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Marie Dear Carter and Janice Lee Dear Hurd, both of Anniston; a sister, Helen Walls of Anniston; six grandchildren, Steve Carter, Sherry Carter Bryan, Marisa Carter Parker, Jennifer Hurd, Toni Hurd and Adam Hurd; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick Keith Bryan, William Taylor Bryan and James Steven Carter.

Pallbearers will be Joel B. Carter, Glenn R. Hurd, Steve Carter, Adam Hurd, Patrick Bryan and Brett Parker.

Mrs. Dear was a native and lifelong resident of Anniston. She was a retired beautician and a former member of the Professional Women's Club. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston and was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd "Buster" Dear.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the National Alzheimer's Foundation of North Alabama, Century Office Center, Suite 16, 3322 South Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35801.

Mr. Gann died Monday in Birmingham.

Services for Ruby Hunt, 86, of Atlanta, formerly of Boaz and Anniston, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brent Roe officiating. Burial will be in Kilpatrick Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Albertville.

Mrs. Hunt died Sunday.

Survivors include her husband, George Hunt of Atlanta; a daughter, Carolyn Scoular of Atlanta; a son, Larry Hunt of Roswell, Ga., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Joe Nathan Morris, 83, of Talladega will be Thursday at noon at Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary with Rev. Everett Askew officiating. Burial will be in Ragland Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Morris died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Ragland Morris of Talladega; four daughters, Annie Jones, Barbara Morris, Ella Clift and Rosa Briskey, all of Talladega; seven sons, Billy Morris of Pell City, Lee Morris of Birmingham, Terry Morris of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Stanley Morris, Kerry Morris, Rickey Morris and Danny Morris, all of Talladega; 37 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Mr. Morris was employed by Labor Local 559 in Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Morris and Annie Wiley Morris.

Services for James Charles Nix Sr., 44, of Coldwater will be today at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Cox officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega.

Mr. Nix died Monday.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Nix of Coldwater; two daughters, Amanda Nix and Michelle Nix, both of Coldwater; two sons, James C. Nix Jr. of Springville and Bart Nix of Coldwater; his mother, Ethel K. Sumner of Odenville; four sisters, Cathy Melvin of Odenville, Mildred Mornie Sloan of Ashland, Darlene Machen of Birmingham and Melissa Presley of Leeds; a brother, Johnny Nix of Odenville; and a grandchild, Cortnee Nix.

Pallbearers will be Blake Kirby, Rickey Melvin, Roger Williams, Billy Williams and Kyle Luker.

Mr. Nix was a native of Talladega County and had lived in Coldwater eight years. He was a bricklayer and was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center in Anniston.

Services for William Earl O'Donnell, 82, of Ashville will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with Revs. Allen Bain, Paul Rhodes and Fitzhugh Burttram officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. O'Donnell died Tuesday in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Lorene O'Donnell of Ashville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and Morris Brumbeloe of Trafford and Charlotte Sikes of Atlanta; a sister, Ruth McKee of Pell City; three brothers and their wives, Carl and Ruth O'Donnell of Glencoe, Marvin and Evelyn O'Donnell of Huntsville and Seldon and Doris O'Donnell of Linden; three grandchildren, Keith Brumbeloe, Paul Rhodes and Mike Rhodes, and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. O'Donnell was a native of St. Clair County and had lived in Ashville most of his life. He was an Army World War II veteran and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 28 years of service. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.

Memorials can be made to the Parkinson's Association of Alabama, Jefferson Towers 1225, 625 19th St., Birmingham, AL 35249.

Services for Tommy Craig Rainey, 26, of Piedmont will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. James Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Rainey died Sunday in Calhoun County.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Rainey of Piedmont; his parents, Jerry and Ann Rainey of Piedmont; a brother, DeWayne Rainey of Piedmont; a stepdaughter, Kim Hartley of Piedmont; a stepson, Rodney Hartley of Piedmont; his grandmother, Doris McCulley of Tallapoosa, Ga.; and his grandfather, W.H. "Pete" Rainey of Piedmont.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hicks, D.R. Hughes, Dustun Jennings, Nathan Wilkerson, Shane Shell, Toby Carroll, David McGatha and Danny Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be friends.

Mr. Rainey was a native and lifelong resident of the Piedmont area. He was a self-employed concrete finisher and was a Baptist.
