Helen Ann Chambers Hunt

Funeral services for Helen Ann Chambers Hunt, 70, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Mt. Vernon Primitive Baptist Church, Elders Heath Williams, Sam Bryant, Gus Harter, Guy Hunt and Darrell Chambers officiating, with Burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. Thursday to 2 p.m. Friday.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hunt died Monday, Nov. 22, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1934, in Cullman County to Homer Lee and Mettie Tally Chambers. She was the former first lady of Alabama and a member of Mt. Vernon Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy Chambers and Pat Chambers; and one sister, Betty Chambers Key.

Survivors include her husband, Guy Hunt of Holly Pond; one son, Keith Hunt of Holly Pond; three daughters, Pam Hunt, Lynn (Doug) Harris and Sherrie (David) Williams, all of Holly Pond; one brother, Hulen (Jean) Chambers of Huntsville; five grandsons, Elder Heath Williams, Nigel Hunt, 1st Lt. Eric Williams, Nolan Hunt and Kelly Williams; and two granddaughters, Ashley Hunt and Kayla Knop.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Robert L. 'Bud" Waddle

Funeral services for Robert L. "Bud" Waddle, 79, of Lake Wales, Fla., were Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales, the Rev. John Hodge officiating.

Marion Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Waddle died Saturday, Nov. 20, at Winter Haven Hospital.

Lois Opal Barnett

Funeral services for Lois Opal Barnett, 89, of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating, with Burial in Center Hill Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barnett died Tuesday, Nov. 23 in Cullman. She was born in Georgia on May 14, 1915, to John Wesley and Myrtie Stewart Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bascomb V. Barnett; her parents; and a daughter, Delores "Pat" Barnett.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda (Don) Creel of Center Hill; two sons, Rex (Jo) Barnett of Cullman and Ralph (Rebecca) Barnett of Center Hill; eight grandchildren, Kirk Creel, Keith Creel, Kerry Creel, Kevin Creel, Jon Barnett, Jared Barnett, Phamie Jo Brown and Zane Barnett; 14 great-grandchildren, Tess Brown, Tate Brown, Maggie Barnett, Kris Creel, Jessica Creel, Joey Dasis, Kattie Creel, Koty Creel, Anna Creel, Kalen Creel, Jordan Creel, Kaci Creel, Bailey Dew and Garrett Barnett; and one great-great-grandchild, Jacob Creel.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Henry Mack

Funeral services for John Henry Mack, 84, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Jim Walker officiating, with Burial in Holly Pond Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mack died Wednesday, Nov. 24 at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 1, 1919 to Charles and Marie Henrietta Mack. He was a service station attendant and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Doris Mack Kretzer and Frances Mack.

Survivors include his son, Allen Johnny Mack; four cousins, Jack Mack, Ted Mack, Buford Mack Hankey and Lucille Schoettlin; and two nieces, Betty McClure and Jean Marchetta.

Gilbert Florence

Funeral services for Gilbert Florence, 80, of Cullman will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, with Burial following in the Catholic Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gilbert died Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Eloise Weaver

Funeral services for Eloise Weaver, 69, of Blountsville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Blountsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Burial in Rock Springs Cemetery near Blountsville.

Blountsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Weaver died Tuesday, Nov. 23 at her residence. She was born in Blount County to Edmond and Cleo Sivley Smith. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Vandell Weaver of Blountsville; two sons, Dale Weaver of Blountsville and Charles Weaver of Walnut Grove; a daughter, Charlotte Shaver of Guntersville; three brothers, Onis Smith, Odell Smith and Junior Smith, all of Blountsville; a sister, Daphine Hackney of Blountsville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Gilbert David Florence

Funeral services for Gilbert David Florence, 80, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Father Kevin McGrath officiating, with Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Florence died Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Cullman Emergency Medical Center. He was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Alabama to George C. Sr. and Nicie Parker Florence. He worked in real estate sales and was a U.S. veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Florence; two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Florence and Mark (Joan) Florence; two grandchildren, Zachary Florence and Neeley Florence; one brother, G.C. Florence Jr.: and one sister, Mildred Willoughby.

Visitation and rosary were Thursday.

Ora Lee Meador

Funeral services for Ora Lee Meador, 92, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Jefferson Street Chapel in Tupelo, Miss., Joe Connell officiating, with Burial in Lee Memorial Park

Miss Meador died Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Cedars Health Center.

Lenora Roberta Campbell

Funeral services for Lenora Roberta Campbell, 90, of Crane Hill will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Tommy Graves officiating,with Burial in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Campbell died Thursday, Nov. 25, at Hanceville Nursing Home.

Harold D. 'Don' Gamble

Funeral services for Harold D. "Don" Gamble, 73, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Donald Abbott officiating, with Burial at Garden City Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gamble died Friday, Nov. 26, in Cullman. He was born March 31, 1931, in Cullman County to Odie A. and Nora Trixie Kelton Gamble. Mr. Gamble was retired from the Blount County Commission. He was baptized July 8, 1984, and became a deacon of New Union Baptist Church on Aug. 5, 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers-in-law, Billy Bowman, Don Nichols, Donnie Nichols and Rick Carlee.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Lou Nichols Gamble of Hanceville; one daughter, Christy Gamble of Hanceville; one sister, Faye Bowman of Hanceville; one uncle, Jim (Kat) Kelton of Garden City; one sister-in-law, Iona Carlee of Garden City; several grandnieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Union Baptist Church building or youth fund.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Allen Aubrey 'Buddy' Morris

Funeral services for Allen Aubrey "Buddy" Morris, 73, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Layne Howard officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morris died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at his residence. He was born May 22, 1931, in Limestone County to Fletcher Odell and Octavie Franks Morris. He was a painter and retiree from Cullman Products. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Woody Morris of Cullman; three daughters, Beverly Caye McKenzie of Vinemont, Cynthia Morris Whitten of Falkville and Donna Leigeber of Cullman; two sons-in-law, Mark Whitten of Falkville and Mel Leigeber of Cullman; three grandchildren, Shawn McKenzie of Michigan, Monica McKenzie of Cullman and Erin Landers of Tuscaloosa; one grandson-in-law, Tim Landers of Tuscaloosa; one great-grandson, Seth McKenzie of Michigan; one brother, Paul Morris and wife Linda of Rome, Ga.; one sister, Edith Stevens and husband William of Columbia, Tenn.; and four nephews, Morris Stevens and wife Dianne of Clarksville, Tenn; Paul Morris and wife Linda of Columbia, Tenn.; Lance Morris and wife Michele of Madison; and Bradley Morris of Rome, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lifecare Hospice of Cullman.

Harold D. 'Don' Gamble

Ina E. Dunn Baker

Mrs. Ina E. Dunn Baker, 84, a resident of Crestland Drive in Columbia, Tenn., died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 28, at 3 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Scott Arnold officiating. Burial will be at the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Cullman native was the daughter of the late Charlie Alexander and Irene Yeager Dunn. She was the wife of Simon "Si" Baker for 51 years. Mrs. Baker was retired co-owner and operator of Sunshine Cleaners for 33 years with her husband. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a member of Glendale United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Elaine (Louis "Buck") Kreps of Hanceville and Rhonda (Tommy) Richardson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one son, Les (Judy) Baker of Gardendale; one sister, Faye Blankenship of Hartselle; one brother, Thomas (Karen) Dunn of Cullman; grandchildren, Brian (Sharon) Kreps of Culman, Pam Kreps of Hanceville, Jason Kreps of Cullman, Candace Baker and Matthew Baker, both of Gardendale, and Wyatt Richardson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Andrew, William and Mary Katherine Kreps of Cullman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Everett "B" Dunn, and a sister, Alta "Sis" Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Brian Kreps, Pam Kreps, Jason Kreps, Candace Baker, Matthew Baker and Glenn Mash Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Mash, Milton Baker, Jeff Collins, Ronnie Richardson, Tommy Richardson, Wyatt Richardson, Glenn Mash Sr., Jane and Gene Quarles, Clyde Yeager, Dr. Thomas Farmer, Dr. James B. Kelley, Dr. David Daniels, Dr. C. Houston Jameson III and Dr. Dan Skarzynski.

Memorials may be made to the Pediatric Unit at Maury Regional Hospital, 21224 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, Tenn. 38401.

Nellie Mae Massey

Funeral services for Nellie Mae Massey, 83, of Cullman, formerly of Crossville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Estel Riddle officiating, with Burial in Union Grove Baptist Cemetery in Crossville.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Massey died Monday, May 2 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 1, 1922, to Washington Irwin and Anna Belle Cole Speakman. She was a machine operator at Franklin Aluminum Fabrication.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Alvin Maxwell Massey.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Maxwell Massey of Cullman and Robert Alvin (Brenda) Massey of Whitesburg, Ga.; two brothers, Lummie Speakman of Cullman and Franklin Speakman of Falkville; two sisters, Marie Watne and Earlene Morgan, both of Cullman; two grandchildren, Jonathan Massey and LaDonna Fox; a great-grandchild, Kendyl Elizabeth Massey; and several nieces and nephews from the Crossville area.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
