Mrs. Bentley died Monday, Aug. 2, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Cullman County to Ed and Eunice Vinson Haynes. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Richard Bentley; a son, John Delane Bentley; two daughters, Billie Jean Payne and Charlotte Nell Graham; and two sisters, Aileen Evans and Wynell Robertson.
Survivors include two sons, Bob (Eunice) Bentley and Ray (Teri) Bentley, both of Cullman; two daughters, Dorothy (Jack) Haddock of Madison and Joanne Abrams of Rome, Ga.; five sisters, Doris Smith of Cullman; Melba Summerville of Rome, Ga.; Ruth Pulco of St. Petersville, Fla.; Faye Handley of Grand Blanc, Mich.; and Marie Harbin of Anniston; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Day died Monday, Aug. 2, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1915, in Cullman County to Charlie Frank and Dessie Owens Freeman. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Basil Day Sr.; one son, Delmer Day; four grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Ray Day of Hanceville, Jimmy Day of Bremen and Basil Day Jr. of Cullman; two daughters, Dorothy Vincent of Hanceville and Joycie Fay Potter of Hammond, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ledford died Monday, Aug. 2, at his residence. He was born Dec. 13, 1966, in Orlando to David Ledford and Irene Pennell Campbell. He was a truck driver for Heartland Express.
Survivors include his father, David Ledford; his mother, Irene Campbell of Conro, Texas; his wife, Gina McNab Ledford of Cullman; one son, Zachary Ty Ledford of Cullman; one daughter, Jessica Morgan Ledford of Cullman; four brothers, Mark Ledford, Scott Ledford, Lewis Ledford and Kenny Ledford; and one sister, Hope Baxter.

Mrs. Garrett died Monday, Aug. 2, at Woodland Medical Center in Cullman. She was born July 25, 1930, in Alabama to Roy M. and Clister Bell Hitt. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church of Bessemer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lee Garrett.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Jean Garrett (Carl S.) Taylor of Upton, Ky.; two sons, Stephen David (Sande) Garrett of Hartselle and Dale Allen Garrett of Grant; four sisters; four brothers; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bachmuth died Monday, Aug. 2, at her residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1940, to William Bartley and Mollie Florence Nobinger Rucks. She was the co-owner of Cullman Industries for more than 25 years and an active member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. She is going to be remembered for her friendship, generosity and faithfulness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Bachmuth; one sister, Louise Witt; and one brother, W. C. Rucks.
Survivors include one son, Vincent (Suzanne) Quick of Cullman; two daughters, Pam Bachmuth of Birmingham and Diane Bachmuth of Houston, Texas; two brothers, John Murl (Melba) Rucks and Billy (Shirley) Rucks, both of Hanceville; two sisters, Faye Rucks of Birmingham and Fifa Jo (Harold) Harris of Gardendale; and four grandchildren, Eric Quick, Alex Quick, Morgan Jones and Lindsey Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to J. Max Austin Jr. Professorship for Ovarian Cancer at UAB Gynecology, 1016 18th St. S., Birmingham, Ala. 35025, or to the Seventh Street Baptist Church "Building the House Fund."

William Bertis Holmes
Funeral services for William Bertis Holmes, 93, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, James Wray officiating, with Burial in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Holmes died Friday, Aug. 6, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1911, in Morgan County to Dayton and Julie Ray Holmes. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Verna Murphree Holmes.
Survivors include two daughters, Faynell Ward and Evelyn (Edward) Boike; one brother, Looney Holmes; one sister, Lorean Brown; three grandchildren, Berry Ward, Steven McDonald and Scott McDonald; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Ward, Tyler Ward and Caitlin McDonald.
