Kermit C. 'Kerbo' Barnett
Funeral services for Kermit C. "Kerbo" Barnett, 80, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at Sardis #2 Baptist Church, the Revs. Tim Kinny and William McClellan officiating, with Burial in Sardis #2 Baptist Church Cemetery in Addison. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.

Mr. Barnett died Wednesday, July 28, at Pine Place Assisted Living in Arley. He was born July 14, 1924, in Alabama to James Richard and Nancy Ann Hanson Barnett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a fork lift operator for Steel Truss Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Mary Bell Pares, Bernie White, Nada Martin, Maude McCain, Inez Gootee and Tressie Lee; and a beloved grandson, Timothy Barnett.
Survivors include his wife, Era Morgan Barnett; two sons, Merle (Juanita) Barnett and Alan (Teresa) Barnett, both of Vinemont; two daughters, Regina (David) Maske of Curry and Shelba (Mike) Davis of Addison; one brother, Quinton Barnett of Cullman; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Kindred Durell Grimmett
Funeral services for Kindred Durell Grimmett, 65, of Crane Hill will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Revs. Otis L. Garmon Jr. and Dan Cobb officiating, with Burial in Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Grimmett died Thursday, July 29, at his residence. He was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Cullman County to James Author and Ira Speegle Grimmett. He was employed by Lansing Industries for 26 years and was a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Seymore Grimmett; two sons, James Kindred (Pam) Grimmett and Scott (Libby) Grimmett; one brother, Othell Grimmett; four sisters, Mozell Freeman, Vermell Campbell, Maybell Waid and Loudell Hale; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Andrew Grimmett and Will Grimmett.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Mrs. James died Thursday, July 29 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 1, 1928, to Thomas and Dora Key Tubbs. She was a retired licensed practical nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Lamar James; one brother, Hoy Tubbs; and one sister, Wynell Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Shelia) James and Larry (Cindi) James; daughter, Juanita (Bill) Stanley; brother Avon (Louise) Tubbs; sister, Essie Lee Wilder; nine grandchildren, Amanda Butler, Jeff James, Jeromy James, Jennifer Graves, Cedric Stanley, Kip James, Jerry James, LaTonya Welch and Jamie Fowler; and seven great-grandchildren, Garrett Butler, Savana Butler, Lawson Graves, Jacy James, Aston James, Jasper Stanley and Cadan Welch.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, Huey Overton of Cullman; one son, Louie Elwin (Lucy) Overton of Good Hope; one daughter, Helen (Elloys) Thompson of Vinemont; one brother, Frank Freeman of Cullman; one sister, Hilda Carr of Cullman; four grandchildren, Kenny (Lisa) Overton, Glenn (Connie) Thompson, Kim (Greg) Rooks and Jamie (Rick) Cutcher; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Childress died Friday, July 30, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1961. She was a homemaker and a member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was a Christian who loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Childress of Decatur; two daughters, Shawna Childress and Brandi (Brent) Childress, both of Decatur; her parents, Myra and Jim Flanagan of Cullman; three grandchildren, Erica Shelton, Emily Shelton and Elivie Shelton, all of Decatur.

Mr. Thompson died Friday, July 30, at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1937, in Cullman to Henry and Treccie White Thompson. He was a superb son, husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Fred Gale.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Hamilton Thompson of Hanceville; five daughters, Tina (Mark) Wagnon; Linda (Larry) King, Sandra (Wayne) Miller; Nickie Gale (Edward Clarity) and Lora (John) Hofmann; one son, Mike (Sandra) Gale; four sisters, Joyce (Doug) OBrien, Glinda (Lester) Duncan, Charlotte (Wilbur) Miller and Imogene (Larry) Galin; one brother, Ted Thompson; eight grandsons, Shane, Roger, Logan, Christopher, Michael, Hunter, Jonathan and Josh; seven granddaughters, Brittany, Rebecca, Jordan, Jennifer, Ashley, Savannah and C.C.; three great-grandchildren, Briana, Shaylyn and Anthony; and his dog, "Little Buddy, Tippy."

Mr. Bolte died Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1917, in Cullman County to John Henry and Barbara Gellar Bolte. He was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Leroy Bolte; and one sister, Olga Bolte Yearwood.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Whaley Bolte of Cullman; two sons, Andy (Ann) Bolte of Cullman and Herman (Jone) Bolte Jr. of Purvis, Miss; one sister, Irene Yeager of Cullman; two grandchildren, Shannon Bolte and Kim Montgomery; and two great-grandchildren, Auburn Story and Zane Montgomery.

Mrs. Bachmuth died Monday, Aug. 2, at her residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1940, to William Bartley and Mollie Florence Nobinger Rucks. She was the co-owner of Cullman Industries for more than 25 years and an active member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. She is going to be remembered for her friendship, generosity and faithfulness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Bachmuth; one sister, Louise Witt; and one brother, W. C. Rucks.
Survivors include one son, Vincent (Suzanne) Quick of Cullman; two daughters, Pam Bachmuth of Birmingham and Diane Bachmuth of Houston, Texas; two brothers, John Murl (Melba) Rucks and Billy (Shirley) Rucks, both of Hanceville; two sisters, Faye Rucks of Birmingham and Fifa Jo (Harold) Harris of Gardendale; and four grandchildren, Eric Quick, Alex Quick, Morgan Jones and Lindsey Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Richard Caretti.
Survivors include her husband, James Salvadore Peter Caretti; two sons, James S. (Ann) Caretti Jr. and Joseph P. (Donna) Caretti; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Caretti; a daughter, Mary M. Caretti; two brothers, Herman "Sonny" (Sandra) Evers Jr. and Bobby (Joy) Evers; five grandsons, Davey, Jason, Joshua, Dax and Evan; a granddaughter, Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Alexandra; and five stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gerthie; and eight brothers, Ozell, Melvin, Buster, Marcell, Alvin, Homer, George and Lacy.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Boatright Twilley; two sons, Tommy and Brandon Twilley; two daughters, Natosha and Amanda Twilley; a granddaughter, Ellexus Twilley; a grandson, Jagger Twilley; a brother, Jimmy Twilley; two sisters, Martha Abbott and Nancy Barrett.
