Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Boike, 84, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Dave Bradford officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Boike died Tuesday, June 29, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Cullman County to Wilbur and Bertha Speegle Matthews. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Martha Boike; two brothers, Eugene and Hughes Matthews; and two sisters, Doris Spradlin and Alyene Bowen.
Survivors include her husband, George Boike of Cullman; a son, Douglas (Judy) Boike of Cullman; two daughters, Barbara Moffett of McLean, Va. and Ann (Jack) Sinyard of Cullman; a brother, Theo Matthews of Florida; three grandchildren, Chad Boike of Mattoon, Ill., Amy Higdon of Huntsville and Jessica Sinyard; and two great-grandchildren, Ian Boike and Abby Boike.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Ruth Moore
Funeral services for Mary Ruth Moore, 79, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Ernes Morris officiating, with Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore died Wednesday, June 30, at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Aug. 22, 1924. She was retired from Cullman Lingerie after 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Henry and Ella Loyd Kassaw; her husband, Luther Henry Moore; five brothers, Alvin, Ernest, Rayburn, Euel and Ervin Kassaw; and three sisters, Rosie Ryder, Louise Grund and Mavis Farley.
Survivors include a son, Gary L. (Regina) Moore; and a grandson, Scott A. Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vinemont Christian Church building fund.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Fred William Nothdurft
Funeral services for Fred William Nothdurft, 86, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Nothdurft died Wednesday, June 30, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1918. He was a retired state trooper, a World War II veteran and a cub scout and boy scout leader.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Rose Schlosser Nothdurft; his parents, August Albert and Kittie Ann Fellows Nothdurft.
Survivors include two sons, Freddy (Kay) Nothdurft and Ted (Debbie) Nothdurft; two brothers, Glenn Nothdurft and James Nothdurft, both of Colorado; a sister, Mary Allen of Colorado; three grandchildren, Chris Nothdurft, Jenny Speer and Lee Hosche; four great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Dwight (Orphia) Schlosser.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
Belva Ellen York
Funeral services for Belva Ellen York, 96, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at First Baptist Church, Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating, with Burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. York died Sunday, June 27, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was a retired school teacher after 35 years with Cullman city and county schools. She then worked with Merle Norman Cosmetics for 15 years. She was a member of the Pilot Club, the Quest Club, and the Dogwood Garden Club. She was very active at First Baptist Church teaching Sunday School class and in the WMU Martha Anderson Prayer Group.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Leonard H. York.
Survivors include a son, Len (Ginger) York; a daughter, Jane Ostberg; a sister, Faye Robertson; and five grandchildren, Michael (Kristina) Ostberg, Susan Ostberg, Brian York, Amanda York and Christopher York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church organ fund or the Cullman County Hospice.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Mr. Burgess died Thursday, July 1, in Cullman. He was born in Cullman County on Dec. 25, 1941, to Grady and Alice Aycock Burgess.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Vera Campbell; and a brother, Clarence Burgess.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Burgess of Hanceville; a daughter, Kim (Babs) Freeman of Bremen; two sons, Keith (Sonia) Burgess of Hanceville and Keadrick (Laura) Burgess of Bremen; his mother; four grandsons, Shanon Burgess, Brandon Burgess, Cameron Burgess and Kaden Burgess; five sisters, Barbara Sandlin, Lillie Tucker, Brenda Duke, Rita Dingler and Pat Burgess; six brothers, J.R. Burgess, Jerry Burgess, Bobby Burgess, Donald Burgess, Joe Burgess and David Burgess; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joseph, Brian, Chris, Chad, Arron, Rondell and Scotty Burgess.

Mr. Kinser died Friday, July 2, 2004, at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Auburn University. He was retired from Greif Bros. Container Corp., after 40 years service. He was an active member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartselle.
Survivors include wife, Jorene; sister, Aline Edmondson; daughter, Mary Frank Kinser; daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Scott Murphy; grandson, Lakota. Also, Alan and Cindy Crosson, Raven, Ciaran and Aedan.

Mrs. Couch died Thursday, July 1 in a car accident on U.S. Highway 278. She was born July 1, 1943. A lifelong resident of Cullman, she was a homemaker and loved reading and yard sales.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Emerson Couch; a daughter, Patsy Ann King; and a brother, Norvell Smith.
Survivors include her parents, Fred and Velma Smith of Cullman; three sons, Eddie Couch of Morgan City, La., Dwight Couch of Cullman, John Couch of Decatur; three daughters, Gloria King Keller of Pelham, Sherry King Kelley and Miranda King Romearez, both of Cullman; two brothers, Gael and Earl; six sisters, Clovis, Erlene, Geneva, Vera, Linda and Glenda; four grandchildren, Michael Smith, Elizabeth McClendon, both of Cullman, Ashley McClendon and Brett McClendon, both of Huntsville.

Mr. Terrell died Friday, July 2 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 11, 1937 in Illinois to Wilburn and Jessie Kuhn Terrell. He was a retired meat market supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Loise Hardesty Terrell; daughter, Melinda (Jeff) Waddell of Cullman; brother, Richard (Sue) Terrell of Georgia; and four grandchildren, Janna Waddell, Ethan Waddell, Seth Waddell and Nathan Waddell.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Albert E. Aker; two sisters, Pauline James and Lera Williamson; and her parents, Udorse D. and Nannie Lou Nix White.
Survivors include three sons, Larry (Rita) Aker, William A. (Wanda) Aker and Danny (Sandy) Aker, all of Cullman; four daughters, Willa Jean (Kent) Cooper, Brenda (Jerry) Allen and Sherry (Steven) Eady, all of Cullman, and Neta (Eddie) Graves of Cleaveland, Tenn.; four brothers, Rader White, Ray White, Aubrey White and Hermitt White, all of Cullman; a sister, Mary Alice Rhodes of Cullman; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
