William Wayne Searcy
Funeral services for William Wayne Searcy, 55, of Eufaula were Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Epworth United Methodist Church, the Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiating, with Burial at 2 p.m. in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mr. Searcy died Saturday, May 8, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan after a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Jasper to the late William Martin and Ophia Jean Baggett Searcy. He had lived in the Eufaula area since 1971, coming from Cullman. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Searcy; a son, Martin Searcy; a daughter, Christina Searcy; and a brother, John Searcy, all of Eufaula.
Thomas A. Goff
Graveside services for Thomas A. Goff, 64, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Good Hope Cemetery, Jeff Race officiating.

Mr. Aderhold died Monday, May 10, at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Cullman to Homer A. and Effie Jones Aderhold. He was retired from NASA and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill, Neuell and Raymond Aderhold; and two sisters, Aubrie Brown and Velva Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Westbrook Aderhold; a son, Mark Aderhold of Cullman; two daughters, Cindy (Dwayne) Aaron of Morris and Jennifer (Neal) Gooch of Johanisburg, S. Africa; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Aderhold of Cullman; six grandchildren, Courtney Aderhold, Justin Aaron, Rebecca Aaron, Dawson Gooch, Hudson Gooch and Jonathan Gooch; and special caregivers, Jane Moses and Shirley Duckworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seventh St. Baptist Preservation Committee Church or Ala-Care Hospice.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
James S. Davis

Zelda M. Trapp
Funeral services for Zelda M. Trapp, 85, of Remlap will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Tommy Graves officiating, with entombment in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Trapp died Wednesday, May 12, at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born June 23, 1918, to Issac Taylor and Almeda Swann Sandlin. She was a longtime resident of Cullman County. She most recently resided in the village of Cook Springs retirement community near Pell City. She was a registered nurse who will be remembered for her work with the Cullman County Schools Head Start Program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Trapp Sr.; a son, Marvin Trapp Jr.; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, June Stewart of Blount County; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Lillie Shedd Smith

Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, May 12, at NHC Health Care Moulton. She was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Cullman County to Tommie and Abbie Bailey Johns. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was retired from Cullman Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Gaines.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Alton "Butch" (Joyce) Shedd of Illinois and Darrell Shedd of Cullman; one daughter, Shirley Wren (Bob) White of Decatur; three brothers, Dock Johns, Arvil Johns and Odus (Mable) Johns, all of Cullman; one sister, Olean Johns of Cullman; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jacobs died Friday, May 14, in Cullman. She was born May 3, 1930, in Hanceville to Percy W. and Edna Pearl Holt Sims.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jellethia Carden.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Jacobs of Cullman; four sons, Barry (Linda) Jacobs and Gordon Sandlin, both of Cullman; Stanley Jacobs of Cherryvale, Kan.; and Eddie (Hester) Sandlin of Hanceville; one daughter, Tamm (David) Jenkens of Cullman; two brothers, Dewey A. Sims of Cullman and Mancil T. Sims of Gardendale; nine grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca (Joseph) Dye, Bradley (Kari) Jacobs, Jessica Jacobs, Cody Jenkins, Jeanie (Mark) Rhodes, Bethany Sandlin, Patrick Sandlin, Adam Taylor and Willy Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Paige Jacobs and Carter Brice Wells.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Tyree; a son, Jack (Margaret) Stidham; two daughters, Brenda (Jud) Barton and Gail (Sonny) Brasher; a sister, Dot Stidham; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of Cullman.

Mrs. Colvin died Thursday, May 13, surrounded by her loving family. Bernice proudly served as a security guard at Baptist Medical Center Princeton for 15 years.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Afton (Linda) Burnett and David Steven (Lynn) Burnett of Decatur; one daughter, Joy Lynn Burnett (Leon) Brown of Eva; two brothers, Billy Donald Walker of Mableton, Ga., and Jimmy G.
