CAPTAIN RALPH CRADDIETH
LINCOLN — Funeral service for Captain Ralph Craddieth, 42, of 245 Colvin Road, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Steens, Miss., with the Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Craddieth died Aug. 21 at Citizens BMC in Talladega. He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Union Lodge No. 76 of the Free and Accepted Masons and a member of the National Guard for nearly 16 years. He was a member of the Alabama Army Reserves with the rank of captain, was employed at the Federal Correctional Institution as a correction officer for 11 years, was a member of F.C.I. SORT Team and was a veteran of Desert Storm.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Summerville Craddieth of Lincoln; one son, Mykael Craddieth of Talladega; his parents, James Craddieth and Bernice Dickerson Craddieth of Steens, Miss.; his sisters, Betty Dickerson of Chicago, Ill., Nettie Odgen of Northport, Rachel Jennings of Steens, Miss., Elaine Humphries of Columbus, Miss., Jeanette Rawls of Tupelo, Miss., and Delois Craddieth of Steens, Miss.; and his brothers, Joshua Craddieth of Ridgeway, S.C., Andrew Craddieth of Junction City, Kansas, Johnny Craddieth of Columbus, Miss., Keith Craddieth of Steens, Miss., Otto Craddieth of Chicago, Ill., and Arvis Craddieth of Richmond, Texas.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A wake will be held Thursday from 7 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.
JOSEPH CAMPBELL DAVIS
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Funeral service for Joseph (Joe) Campbell Davis, 60, formerly of Sylacauga, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Sylacauga with the Rev. S.C. Bolton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Aug. 17 at Huron Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an active member of Universal Negro Improvement Association, a member of Prince Hall Masonic Order and was a board member for the city of Cleveland Fair Housing Organization. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Organization and was retired from General Motors Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Davis of Cleveland, Ohio; four sons, Frederick Lemar Malachii Davis of Los Angeles, Calif., Marcus Joseph Davis, Mandel Joel Davis and Myron Davis of Cleveland, Ohio; four daughters, Charlotte Levine of Los Angeles, Calif., Marion Jonette Davis, Machel Jennifer Davis and Makiya Joy Davis of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Juanita Crayton of Sylacauga; two brothers, Atiba Davis of Marietta, Ga., and Charles Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday from noon until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

JOEL ALDERMAN
TALLADEGA — Memorial service for Joel Alderman, 63, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Talladega.
Mr. Alderman died Aug. 21 at his daughter's home in Orange Park, Fla. He was born in Ft. Green, Fla., and had lived in Talladega since 1980. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., where he earned his bachelor's and his master's degrees in business administration. He had owned and operated Colonial Chevrolet Buick Company in Talladega since 1980. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves and was a founding member of the Talladega County Economic Development Authority, and a member of the Talladega Rotary Club, where he received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He was past president and campaign chairman of the North Talladega County United Way and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where he was past senior warden and past Vestry member. He was also a past member of the Episcopal Diocesan Council and the Bishops Standing Committee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ida Alderman, and a sister, Ida Gates.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Arch of Orange Park, Fla., and Jennifer Aufdenberg of Pell City; one son, Phillip Alderman of Talladega; one brother, Gary Alderman of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Barbara Russell of Orlando, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or the United Way of North Talladega County.
Colonial Chevrolet will be closed all day Saturday in memory of Alderman.

ELBERT CLARK
ANNISTON — Funeral service for Elbert (Hamburger) Clark, 69, of 314 B St., will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie C. Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Clark died Aug. 19 at Beckwood Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Lineville and lived in Anniston most of his life. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, was retired from Miller Feed Company and was a Vietnam veteran.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Clark of Anniston; one daughter, Audrey C. Hardwick of Norfolk, Va.; one son, Walter D. Chatman of Anniston; three brothers, six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

EMMA JEAN GADDIS
ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral service for Emma Jean Gaddis will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Alexander City with Elder Bobby Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Primitive Cemetery.
Mrs. Gaddis died Aug. 19 at her residence. She was born Jan. 25, 1949 in Tallapoosa County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Ennis Edwards.
She is survived by a devoted friend, Mose Gopher of Alexander City; one brother, Charles Edwards of Alexander City; four aunts and a host of other relatives.

HARVEY McCAIN
SYLACAUGA — Memorial service for Harvey McCain, 70, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mignon Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Reaves officiating.
Mr. McCain died Aug. 21. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce L. Huff McCain; his parents, Wesley McCain and Jessie Lou McCain; and two sisters, Mattie Arline Maness and Mary Magdelene Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie McCain of Sylacauga; five sons, John McCain of Niceville, Fla., Harvey L. McCain of Ft. Walton, Fla., Ricky Berry of Sylacauga, John Berry of Houston, Texas, and James McCain of Shalimar, Fla.; three daughters, Hayley J. Young of Alexander City, Susan Williams of Hollins and Pam Machen of Sylacauga; two brothers, Melvin McCain of Guntersville and Marvin McCain of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside Hospice, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Mignon Baptist Church.

OXFORD — Funeral service for Lillie Jane Moon, 45, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in Anniston with the Rev. Ronald Chapman, the Rev. Chris Spurlin and Dr. Roy Cordle officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Mt. Carmel Cemetery
in West Blocton.
Ms. Moon died Aug. 21 at her residence. She was a resident of Calhoun County for 16 years and was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church. She was a graduate of UAB and Midfield High School. She taught school for 11 years at C.L. Salter Elementary School in Talladega. She coordinated the school's art programs and had a gift for teaching art fundamentals to primary students.
She is survived by her parents, Charles R. Moon Sr. and Barbara Moon of Rainbow City; daughters, Amanda Goldman and Katie Goldman of Oxford; son, Challas Goldman of Oxford; brothers, Joe Moon of Atlanta, Ga., and Charles Moon Jr. of Thomasville, Ga.; niece, Jill Moon; and nephews, Brian Moon, Justin Moon, Kyle Moon and Craig Moon.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Moon, Justin Moon, Kyle Moon, Craig Moon, Dave Chapman and Hank Baker.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Sharon Dennis Morris, 51, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Mountainview Baptist Church in Childersburg with the Rev. Sherrill Green and the Rev. Tony Lees offciating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Morris died Aug. 21 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. She was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church, served in the auxiliary of Sylacauga Little League and as a cheerleader sponsor. She was married for 32 years, loved to sing and was founder of the Diabetic Outreach Program in Sylacauga.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Morris of Sylacauga; one son, Dusty Morris of Sylacauga; two daughters, Shelby Morris and Catrina Skelton of Sylacauga; her father, C.C. Dennis of Sylacauga; her mother, Ruby Closson Dennis of Sylacauga; three brothers, Clark Dennis of Huntsville, David Dennis of Sylacauga and Jim Dennis of Montgomery; one sister, Kim Smith of Albertville; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Justin.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

LEROY PALMER
LINCOLN — Funeral service for Leroy Palmer, 78, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. J.D. Wales officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Palmer died Aug. 21. He was a native of Mississippi, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and moved to Alabama in 1975, where he lived until his death. He retired from Riteway in Pell City with 13 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Pell City.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Palmer; one daughter, Nora McNutt of Pell City; three sons, Dennis Palmer of Tarrant, Larry Palmer of Riverside and Jerry Palmer of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

WILLIAM HENRY RUNGE JR.
MARIETTA, Ga. — Funeral service for William Henry Runge Jr., 83, will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, Ga., with the Rev. Kevin Hargaden officiating. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery
in Marietta, Ga.
Mr. Runge died Aug. 22. A native of Gantts Quarry, he had lived in Cobb County for 32 years. He retired as vice president of sales for Georgia Marble Company with more than 40 years of service. He attended Washington and Lee University and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in chemical engineering. He was a Navy pilot during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Runge; two sons, William H. Runge III and Charles E. Runge of Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Suzann R. Zimmerman of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.

TALLADEGA — Thomas W. Sweeney, 86, of 3132 Howell Cove Road, died Aug. 20 at Talladega Health Care Center.

RACINE, Wisc. — Funeral service for A.C. Turner, 73, was Saturday, Aug. 4, at Second Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor C. Davis officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Mr. Turner died July 29.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Ann Turner of Racine, Wisc.; one daughter, Mary Glass of Oxford; six sons, John Turner of St. Petersburg, Fla., Al Turner of Jonesboro, Ga., William Turner of Annville, Pa., Willie Turner of Talladega, Arnold Turner of Douglasville, Ga., and Kenny Turner of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Ludie Carmichael of Lincoln; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
