Funeral services for Jean Hays Dall'au, 81, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Holly Pond, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Eidson Chapel Church, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Dall'au died Tuesday, April 27, in Miami, Fla. She was born near Cullman on April 3, 1923, to Nathaniel Gordon and Nellie Martin Hays. She was raised in Holly Pond. She was a homemaker. She worked during World War II at the U.S. Army's Anniston Depot, where she was welcomed back recently for a tour of the facilities and to honor her for her war service. She was a volunteer for Catholic Hospice for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rene Dall'au.
Survivors include a son, André (Jo) Dall'au; a daughter, Renette Dall'au; a brother, Raymond Hays; a sister, Jo LaGrone; two grandsons, Chris Dall'au and Jared Dall'au; and dear friend, Florence Candotti.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Hospice, 7300 Southwest 88 Suite 660, Miami, Fla. 33156.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eidson Chapel Church.
William Howard McBrayer
Funeral services for William Howard McBrayer, 71, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Richard Bailey and Donald Lee Abbott officiating, with Burial in Crossroads Cemetery.

Mr. McBrayer died Sunday, May 2, at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1933, in Cullman County to Richard Temus and Maggie Mae Johnson McBrayer. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Perry and J.B. McBrayer; a sister, Thelma Ozell Stephens; and two grandsons, Christopher Larry Schultz and John David Glover.
Survivors include his ex-wife and mother of his children, Ocia Sellers McBrayer Banister of Cullman; two sons, Ricky (Alice) McBrayer of Cullman and Benny (Rose Ann) McBrayer of Oden Ridge; six daughters, Carol (Larry) Schultz, Becky (Billy) Philyaw, Shelia (Billy) Wright, Vickie (Michael) Knight and Samantha (Steve) Knight, all of Cullman, and Cynthia (Darrell) Hayden of Dunkin, Ariz.; three brothers, Wade (Jo) McBrayer of Douglas, Billy (Ivarene) McBrayer and Richard Jr. (Marie) McBrayer of Cullman; five sisters, Mary Lou (Charles) Stewart of Blue Ridge, Ga., Hazel (Ray) Sanford, Marggie (Rock) Pigg, Dorothy (Bobby) Johnson of Cullman and Shirley (Donald Dingwitz) Conn of Cullman; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown died Sunday, May 2, at Cullman Health Care. He was born May 18, 1927, to Lonnie and Elvie Jones McGinnis. She was a bank teller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald Rex McPherson and Vickey Lynn McPherson; a daughter, Virginia McPherson; four sisters; and six brothers.
Survivors include a son, Rick (Wilma Jean) McPherson; two brothers, E.C. McGinnis and A.W. McGinnis; four sisters, Maxine Clingingsmith, Ann Drake, Clois McNear and Myrtle Goodhugh; three grandchildren, Don (Paula) McPherson, Rachel (Kevin) Martin and Betty (Derrick) Dobson; a stepgrandchild, Jack (Jane) Moore; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bates died Sunday, May 2, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 6, 1930, in Cullman County to Charles Sylvanus and Emily Melvina Calvert Bates. He was a cabinet maker for Cullman Cabinet Company.
He was preceded in death by parents; three brothers, Milton, Alonzo, W.C. "Patrick" Bates; seven sisters, Rovena Willcutt, Arilla Buchanan, Manila Waldrop, Vonda Nell Taylor, Christena HEster and Elenor Bates; and his father-in-law, Adolphus Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Taylor Bates of Cullman; four sons, Michael Taylor Bates and Rodney (April) Taylor, both of Trimble; Gary (Terri) Taylor of North Little Rock, Ark. and Danny (Kathy) Taylor of Midfield; a daughter, Brenda Taylor Sanchez of Trimble; a sister, Marie Freeman of LaCenter, Wash.; his mother-in-law, Pearl Taylor of Trimble; a special friend, John Paul Myrick of Trimble; eight grandchildren, April (Clay) Delong of Jacksonville, Ark.; Christi Lucerio and Jennifer Yarbrough, both of Colleyville, Texas; Jeremy (Rachel) Taylor of Cleveland; and Justin and Tyler Vanderburg and Chase and Lindsey Taylor, all of Trimble; and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Christopher Taylor of Cleveland.

Mr. Robb died Saturday, May 1, at his residence. He was born June 13, 1942, in Decatur, Ill., to Carl Edward and Charity Belle Lecrone Robb. He served on the Decatur Junior Football League as a volunteer and as trustee of the Longcreek Fire Department for more than 25 years. He was retired from Cash Valve Manufacturing Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Paul Wood; mother-in-law, Hazel Wood; and sister, Joy Darlene Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Wood Robb of Cullman; two sons, Phillip M. Robb of Hilo, Hawaii, and Paul E. Robb of Fern Park, Fla.; one daughter, Suzanne K.
