Funeral services for Catherine Pichelmayer, 76, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Dr. Scott Harris officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Pichelmayer died Monday, March 8, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1928, to Thurman and Audrey Pedlow Alldredge. She was a social worker with the state of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Werner Pichelmayer; a brother, Bill Alldredge; and a granddaughter, Bridget Pichelmayer.
Survivors include two sons, Charles M. (Lori) Pichelmayer and Greg (Delia) Pichelmayer; and five grandchildren, Matt, Nathan, Alecia, Crysta and Heather Pichelmayer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church Preservation Committee at 708 Seventh St. Southwest, Cullman, Ala. 35055.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Charles Edward Waldrep
Funeral services for Charles Edward Waldrep, 70, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Ken Allen officiating, with Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Services will be interpreted for the hearing impaired.

Mr. Waldrep died Monday, March 8, at his residence. He was born July 21, 1933, to Andrew and Elzie Posey Waldrep. He was a foreman at 7-Up Bottling Company. He served in the Alabama National Guard during the early 1950s. He was one of 21 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Campbell Waldrep; two sons, Richard E. Waldrep of Sulpher Springs, Texas and Gary D. Wayne Waldrep of Cooper, Texas; two daughters, Robin O'Brein of Walker, Mich. and Sheila Krecek of Sulpher Springs, Texas; seven brothers; eight sisters; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Coggins, Jason Willis, Shannon Brock, James Davis, Tim Campbell and Jonathan Henderson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Rev. Joe Shelly Sears
Graveside services for the Rev. Joe Shelly Sears, 74, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at Simcoe Methodist Cemetery, the Revs. Woodrow Franklin and James Masters officiating.

The Rev. Sears died Wednesday, March 10 at his residence. He was born Nov. 22, 1929, in Woodland, Ala., to Will Mack and Katie Me Green Sears. He was a minister and a member of the United Methodist Conference of North Alabama. He graduated from Fairview High School, Wallace State Community College, Athens State College and received a master of divinity from Emory University.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diane Landers; a brother, David Sears; and five granddaughters.
Survivors include wife, Mildred Janet Chambers Sears of Cullman; three sons, Mike (Diane) Sears of Raleigh, N.C., Bill (Sharon) Sears of Huntsville and Jimmy Sears of Cullman; two daughters, Bonnie Collins of Charleston, S.C. and Donna (Butch) Bullard of Joppa; a son-in-law, Hoyt Landers of Summerville; five brothers, Arthur (Millie) Sears of Gardendale, and Blaine Sears, Burland Sears, Donald Sears and Johnny (Annette) Sears, all of Cullman; a sister, Lynn Sears of Cullman; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Roland died Wednesday, March 10 at his residence. He was born Jan. 31, 1962, in Tampa, Fla. to Herman Edward and Selma Deane Jacobs Roland. He was the owner of a construction company.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Glenda Beth Roland of Cullman; a son, Norman Lynn "Chip" Roland Jr. of Hayden; a daughter, Alicia Danielle Roland of Hayden; two stepsons, Derrell (Genny) Powell and Dyron (Sonya) Powell, both of Addison; a stepdaughter, Dariese (Bill) Morgan of Addison; two brothers, Matthew (Brenda) Roland of Oneonta and Michael (Gail) Roland of Cullman; a grandmother, Edna Roland of Cullman; one niece, two nephews; and five stepgrandchildren.

Joseph Myron Benard
Memorial services for Joseph Myron Benard, 94, of Vinemont will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father John O'Donnell officiating.

Mr. Benard died Tuesday, March 9 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 8, 1909, in Poland to Valentine and Mary Paige Benard. He was a retired lab assistant for Cornell University.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Benard; a brother, Julius Benard; and two sisters, Irene and Jane Benard.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel E. Gratzer Benard; a daughter, Harrietta Hardy of New York; two stepdaughters, Doris E. Merrell and Donna S. Marcrum; a sister, Wilma Goldthwait; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Walker died Thursday, March 11, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Cullman County to Onus Irvin and Lottie Alldredge Walker. He was a retired auto mechanic and a Methodist preacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill Walker, Gid Walker and Carl Walker; and four sisters, Eula Walker, Velma Payne, Mary Reid and Trecy Turner.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lela Estelle Payne Walker of Cullman; two daughters, Melba (Wendell) Smith and JoAnn Carr of Cullman; a brother, W.I. "Lidy" (Marie) Walker of Cullman; a sister, Lois (Bob) Edgle of Georgia; six grandchildren, Katy Teichmiller, Debbie Shaw, Wade Smith, Wendy Kreps, Jeffrey Carr and Kenya Thomas; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Folsom died Sunday, March 7, in Alaska. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Folsom.

Mrs. Gambel died Thursday, March 11, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1911, in Cullman County to Joe Davis and Doshie Hudson. She was a member of the Garden City Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard C. McAnnally and Roy A. Gambel; her parents; three brothers, Asa, Nobie and Joe Hudson; and three sisters, Bessie Hudson Weeks, Carrie Smith and Evelene McKibbon.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Carroll McAnnally of Decatur and William David McAnnally of Garden City; two brothers, Paul Hudson of Cullman and Bill Hudson of Panacea, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Howard died Wednesday, March 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Alabama to Whit and Leola Simpson Skinner. She was a homemaker and was involved in various community service projects.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Johnnie Mauldin and F.M. Howard; a brother, John Thomas Skinner; and three sisters, Azalee Skinner, Eloise Skinner Williams and Elner Skinner Calhoun.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Jan) Mauldin and Ted (Gail) Mauldin; a sister, Joyce Skinner Murphree; four grandchildren, Melinda (Shawn) Willingham, Jason Mauldin, Heath (Roxanne) Mauldin and Schenaye Mauldin; and two great-grandchildren, Mallory and Isaac Willingham.

Paul 'Ruddy' Derrick

Mr. Derrick died Friday, March 12, at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1951, in Cullman County to Ralph Shealy and Jimmie Parker Derrick. He was a member of the U.S. Marines and the National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter and riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; one son, Paul Leon (Christie) Derrick of Cullman; two daughters, Selena Shealy Derrick of Cullman and Jamie Lee Derrick; one brother, Coleman Mayes (Marie) Derrick; one sister, Tracy Joy (Ronnie) Ray of Cullman; one granddaughter, Savanna Lou Derrick; three nieces, Christy, Kim and Shonda; and one nephew, Rusty.
