Funeral services for Frances Regina Smith, 74, of Lawrence, Kan., formerly of Cullman, will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Services will be followed by cremation.

Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Pioneer Ridge Assisted Living. She was born April 30, 1929 in New Jersey, the daughter of Francis and Laura Sappah Mullin. She was married to Frank Smith in Ft. Meyers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Kathleen Marie Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Drucker of Lawrence, Kan.; a sister, Marie Smith of Sanford, Maine; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Virginia Pernie Hardin Little
Funeral services for Virginia Pernie Hardin Little, 79, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church, Tim Aris officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state on hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Little died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1924, in Cullman County to Jesse Robert and Lora Cheatwood Hardin. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer L. Little; two sons, Bobby and Donald; one daughter, Tina; a grandson, Jimmy Smith; a son-in-law, Edwin Smith; and a brother, Vernie Hardin.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Phyllis) Little of Vinemont and Kenneth (Sandra) Little of Somerville; five daughters, Geroland Smith and Joyce Little, both of Vinemont, Barbara (Larrie) Lawrence, Anita (Donnie) Pirkle and Jenise (Ronald) Jones, all of Cullman; a brother, Tom (Lorene) Hardin; a sister, Clovis Blackwood; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Little, Johnny Lawrence, Tony Little, David Pirkle, Bruce Brock, Kenny Lorenc, William Cockrell, Bernard Rusk and Brad Atkins.
Visitation was Thursday.
James G. Allred
Funeral services for James G. Allred, 53, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Moss-Service Chapel, with Burial in Blair Methodist Cemetery.

Mr. Allred died Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Winston County. He was born April 13, 1950, in Alabama to James H. and Ruth Harley Allred. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Allred; two daughters, Drenda Holcomb and Cheri Woodall; two brothers, Thomas Allred and Roy Allred; and four grandchildren, Brittney Allred, Kendall Woodall, Josh Holcomb and Nick Holcomb.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jane Darlene Thomason
Memorial services for Jane Darlene Thomason, 54, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thomason died Friday, Nov. 28. She was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Alabama to David and Dorothy Luvese Story Selvage. She was a box builder with the poultry industry. She was very active in her church and community.
Survivors include her mother; a sister, Delinda Selvage; two brothers, Ricky Selvage and Wendell Selvage; three children, Lori Beth Thomason, Jimmy Ray Thomason and Timothy Joe Melton; and two grandchildren, Bailey and Christopher.

Arthur Nelson Cordell
Funeral services for Arthur Nelson Cordell, 66, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. John Mewbourn officiating, with Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Cordell died Thursday, Dec. 4, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1937, to Arthur and Annie Montgomery Cordell. He owned a restaurant and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman. He attended Agape Full Gospel Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine "Jo" Freeman Cordell; two daughters, Melissa Jo Cordell and Jennifer Ann Cordell, both of Cullman; mother-in-law, Ruby Freeman of Breman; brother, Charles Cordell of California; two sisters, Christine Williamson and Cathlene Phillips, both of Empire; and two grandsons, Adam Cordell McCleland and Christian Dillon McCleland, both of Cullman.

Ismael Cruz Robledo
Funeral services for Ismael Cruz Robledo, 26, of Horton will be held in Sibanas Hidalgo, Mexico.

Mr. Robledo died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1977, in Tula Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Emigdo and Luz Maria Cruz Camacho Robledo. He was a laborer with the poultry industry.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Liddie Catete Robledo; two stepdaughters, Ashley Peņa and Maria Peņa; a brother, Lorenso Robledo; two sisters, Rellina Robledo and Carmela Robledo, all of Mexico; and special friends, Gayla Thomas and Anselmo Espinosa.

Eldridge Henderson Stevens

Mr. Stevens died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Woodland Village Health Care. He was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Cullman County to Henderson and Nancy Ragsdale Stevens. He was a retired poultry farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, R.V. Umphrey Stevens; and two brothers, Cleveland Stevens and Ceborn Stevens.
Survivors include his son, Ronald (Sharon) Stevens of Winston County; two daughters, Dean (Dale) Quick of Cullman and Janice (Rodger) Brown of West Point; three sisters, Zonnie Webster, Donna White and Maylon Gardner, all of Cullman; four grandchildren, Cyndi Roden, Melinda Campbell, Brad Stevens and Stephanie Pragel; and four great-grandchildren, Haley Stevens, Brody Stevens, Kirsten Campbell and Corbin Pragel.

Survivors include his wife, Oda Sue Whitaker Nuss; daughter, Phyllis (Ronnie) Murray of Center Hill; sister, Evelyn Johnston of Hanceville; and two grandchildren, Dana Wright of Birmingham and Chris Murray of Kennesaw, Ga.

Mrs. White died Saturday, Dec. 6, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was born Jan. 23, 1916, to Rupert and Lottie Ivy Compton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vester G. White; and brother, Howard Compton.

Jimmy Darrel Franklin
Funeral services for Jimmy Darrel Franklin, 32, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Moss Funeral Chapel, with Burial in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery in Arab.

Mr. Franklin died Thursday, Dec. 4, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1971, to Joseph Dalton and Stella Mae Franklin. He was a machine operator at Serta Mattress.

Mrs. Beck died Friday, Dec. 5. She enjoyed housework, yard work, reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jerri Ann Federer.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Beck; four sons, Jerry Lee (Gail) Federer Jr. of Sylacauga, Kenneth (Karen) Beck of Pleasant Grove, Charles (Brenda) Beck of Ohio and Thomas (Cindy) Beck of Maryland; three daughters, Sharon (Pug) McDaniel of Bayview, Bonnie Beck of Corner and Jackie (Jack) Smith of Florida; one brother, Charlie Vance of Tuscumbia; five sisters, Irene Durren, Beatrice Hardeman, Audrey Vance and Inez Dover, all of Cullman, and Susan Vickery of Pleasant Grove; and 23 grandchildren, including Travis, Cherra, Joshua and Justin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that, per Mrs. Beck's request, one rose of any color be brought by each friend to be placed on her casket.

Mrs. Weir died Friday, Dec. 5, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born June 4, 1910, in Cottage Grove, Tenn., to Bluette and Doxie Lee Shell Wasson. She attended Murray State University in Murray, Ky., before marrying Ralph Homer Weir in 1932 and moving with him to Jackson in 1935. She worked for the Mississippi State Department of Public Welfare for 30 years and was a member of Fondren Presbyterian Church in Jackson. She moved to Huntsville in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Rufus Wasson, Homer Wasson and Ralph Wasson; and niece, Kathryn Wasson Huston.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Patricia) H. Weir of Huntsville; former daughter-in-law, Sue Weir of Huntsville; two grandsons, Scott (Andi) Weir of Atlanta and Kent (Mimi) Weir of Cullman; granddaughter, Robyne (Vic) Weir Ruterbusch of Panama City Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Maggie Lee Weir, John Scott Weir and Robert Daniel Weir, all of Atlanta; Kohl Weir, Allie Weir and Shelby Weir, all of Cullman; and Hanna Ruterbusch of Panama City Beach, Fla.; niece, Joyce Wasson Reeves of Memphis, Tenn.; and three nephews, Joe Wasson of Memphis, Tenn., Andy Wasson of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Ken Wasson of Tallahassee, Fla.
