Funeral services for Christine Roberts Mitchell, 74, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Elton Rutherford officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Mitchell died Tuesday, Nov. 25 at her residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1929 in Cullman County. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayburn Jackson and Hattie Clemmons Roberts; two sisters, Ludie Roberts and Trixie Jane Whittle; and a brother, Junior Roberts.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Mitchell of Hanceville; four sons, Charles (Nina) Givens of Cullman, David (JoAnne) Mitchell of Texas, Don (Dawn) Mitchell of Hanceville and Ken (Tammy) Mitchell of Springville; a daughter, Vanessa (James H.) Powell of Hanceville; four sisters, Trudie Taft of Jasper, Katie Cannady and Doris Gorman, both of Cullman, and Myrtle Hale of Gardendale; six grandchildren, Tiffany Givens, Sabrina Nuņez, Stevie Mitchell, Matt Mitchell, Chris Mitchell and Dave Mitchell; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday.
Bessie Mae Buzbee
Funeral services for Bessie Mae Buzbee, 81, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. John McKoy officiating, with Burial in Antioch Cemetery in Bug Tussle.

Mrs. Buzbee died Tuesday, Nov. 25 at her residence. She was born Aug. 27, 1922 to Lonzo and Ella Payne Stewart. She was a retired factory worker from the Culligan Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Buzbee; a son, Jimmie Buzbee; and her parents.
Survivors include a son, Ray (Toni) Buzbee of Bremen; two brothers, Lee Stewart and Leecie Stewart, both of Bremen; six grandchildren, Dean (Lisa) Buzbee of Clarksville, Tenn., Melisa (Paul) Lieber of Libertyville, Ill., Dan (Trenna) Buzbee of Bremen, Ronnie (Kim) Buzbee of Zion, Ill., Steve Buzbee of Wausau, Wisc. and Julie Buzbee of Zion, Ill.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Imogene Taylor Daniel
Graveside services for Imogene Taylor Daniel, 80, of Cullman were Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Holly Pond Cemetery, the Rev. Guy Hunt officiating.

Mrs. Daniel died Monday, Nov. 24 at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham. She was born Oct. 11, 1923 in Ohio to Croft and Sleena Easterwood Taylor. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry S. Daniel; and a sister, Ilene Taylor Landers.
Survivors include a daughter of love, Janice (Robert) Martin; six nieces; eight nephews; two aunts, Lois Walker and Wanda Easterwood; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Pierce and Bonzie Daniel Key; and a brother-in-law, Donald (Nell Ann) Daniel.
Visitation was Tuesday.
Johnie Claude Kuykendall
Funeral services for Johnie Claude Kuykendall, 78, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Holly Pond Chapel, Albert Dean Estes officiating, with Burial in New Hope Cemetery No. 1.

Mr. Kuykendall died Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 21, 1924 in Cullman County to John D. and Sophronia Knight Kuykendall. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Lovvorn Kuykendall; a son, Jimmy Curtis (Nancy) Kuykendall; two daughters, Linda (Hershel) Chumley and Ellen (Tim) Schaeffel; a brother, Jessie (Nellie) Kuykendall, all of Cullman; two sisters, Audie (Alton) Clark and Ossie Patterson; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pansy T. Scroggins
Graveside services for Pansy T. Scroggins, 89, of Montgomery will be at 1 p.m. Friday Nov. 28, 2003, in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Scroggins died Tuesday, Nov. 25. She was born Pansy Tankersley on Oct. 14, 1914 in Cullman County, the second daughter of George Ellis and Delia Tankersley. She was a long-time employee and retiree of the Veterans Administration in Montgomery, and a member and past-president of the Pilot Club of East Montgomery. She and her husband were members of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Montgomery. They also enjoyed world travels and were charter members of the Stardust Ballroom Dance Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Scroggins; her brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Marion Tankersley Sr.; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Henry Hacker.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Ralph Scroggins of Troy; a cousin-in-law, Jim Angus McLean of Troy; her guardian and friend, Teen Schmidt of Montgomery; a niece, Suzanne Tankersley Baylet of Atlanta, Ga.; and a nephew, Wallace Tankersley Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.
Betty Sue Barnett
Funeral services for Betty Sue Barnett, 63, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Larry Brown officiating, with Burial in Etha Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnett died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1940, in Phil Campbell to Willie Buck and Josephine Moore Buchanan. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Barnett Sr.; and two infant brothers.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Barnett Jr. of Cullman; five daughters, Deborah Ann Morris of Orange County, Fla., Alice Kay Taylor, Millissa Sue (Joey) Phillips and Tracy Jo (Harold) Calvert, all of Cullman, and Sarah (Alford) Janiszewski of Adamsville; three sisters, Willie Jo Wilbanks, Shirley Jane Ryan and Terry Margitanski; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Buel Don Hale
Funeral services for Buel Don Hale, 66, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating, with Burial in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.

Mr. Hale died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at his residence. He was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Cullman County. He was a member of Cullman Rotary International, the Mason's, a deacon at Bellview Heights Church, an assistant U.S. attorney for North Alabama, a state senator, an attorney for the city of Cullman and also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Hale.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Cook Hale of Cullman; his parents, Buel Ellick Hale and Ruth Higdon Hale of Cullman; two sons, Buel Derek (Meredith) Hale of Texas and Trevor Cook Hale of New York; a daughter, Heather Lavada Hale of Cullman; a sister, Kay Yearwood of Cullman; and a grandson, Spencer Hale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cullman City Primary School, Cullman Middle School or West Point School.
Visitation was Friday.

Mrs. Robinson died Monday, Nov. 24, at her residence. She was born Jan. 22, 1925, in Ohio to Thomas Wiley and Willie Ethel Lynn Knight. She was a bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Kermit Robinson; and five sisters, Ezma Self, Jessie Bixler, Eddith Harris, Melva Kitchen and Marceline Wilkerson.
Survivors include a son, David Wayne (Myra) Chandler; a granddaughter, Shellie Chandler (Teddy) Jackson; and a great-granddaughter, Zoe Jackson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lake died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Folsom Center. He was born July 3, 1920, in Alabama to James Thomas and Lillian Ethel Lowery Lake. He was a supervisor at King Edward.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Opal Lake Sloan and Mattie Lee Lake Cadle.
He was survived by a sister, Ruth Lake Trahan of New Orleans, La.

Survivors include a brother, T.J. Eddy of Holly Pond; and three sisters, Helen Drinkard of Cullman, Lottie Wade of St. Cloud, Fla. and Lovie Ryan of Hanceville.

Mr. McDonald died Friday, Nov. 28, in Cullman. He was born July 25, 1921, in Cullman to Ercie and Winnie Wisener McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Parker McDonald; and brothers, Wendell McDonald, Herron McDonald, Daniel McDonald and James McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn G. McDonald; four daughters, Janice (Larry) Gambrill and Paula Knighten, both of Cullman; Mary Ruth (Henry) Knight of Birmingham; and Gail (Frank) Wilkens of Helican; two brothers, Joe ( Peggy) McDonald and Thad (Bobbie Faye) McDonald, both of Dodge City; sister, Jeanette (Richard) Todd of Dodge City; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cofield died Friday, Nov. 28, in Cullman County. He was born Sept. 6, 1956, in Cullman County, to James and Margaret Breedlove Cofield. He was a truck driver and boxer transport. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Tommy Cofield.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Faye Lowe Cofield; two sons, Gregory Don (Heather) Cofield and Gerald Wayne Cofield Jr., both of Cullman; daughter, Rebecca (Ricky) Mason of Cullman; foster daughter, Sheila Ann Mason; mother; brother, William Anthony (Juanita) Cofield; two sisters, Audrey (Joe) Smith and Kitty Cofield; seven grandsons, Donald Lowe, Jeffery Lowe, Dustin Lowe, Daniel Mason, Ricky Mason Jr. and Christopher Cofield; and one granddaughter, Tiffany Cofield.
