Funeral services for Doris May Pollard, 78, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Wayne Nails officiating, with Burial in Union Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Pollard died Thursday, Oct. 30 at her residence. She was born Sept. 1, 1925 in Cullman County to C.L. and Tillie May Hale. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard Noel Pollard; a brother, Hershel Hale; and two sisters, Charolotte Hale and Shirley Hale.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Pollard of Vinemont and Gary Pollard of Falkville; a daughter, Varue Mabry of Vinemont; a brother, Drennan Hale of Falkville; three grandchildren, Kanitha (Trinidy) Wilson of Falkville, Randall Pollard and Stacy Pollard of Vinemont; and two grandchildren, Emily Nicole Wilson and Tristen Lee Wilson.
Visitation was Friday.
B.L. 'Dick' Young
Funeral services for B.L. "Dick" Young, 80, of Eva will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Danny Vinson and Dr. Dennis Haynes officiating, with Burial in Burningtree Cemetery in Decatur.

Mr. Young died Wednesday, Oct. 29 in Atlanta, Ga. He was born Dec. 31, 1922 to Edgar and Lizzie Wright Young. He was a retired computer programmer and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Odell H. Young, and his parents.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Debbie) Young; a daughter, Nancy (Mike) Satterfield; two sisters, Elizabeth Barrett and Marie Raley; four grandchildren, Jason Satterfield, Jason Schilberg, Angel Schilberg and Cody Young; and a great-grandchild, Meghan Satterfield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
Kathlene 'Kathy' Smith
Funeral services for Kathlene "Kathy" Smith, 54, are at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died Friday, Oct. 31 at UAB Hospital. She was born March 13, 1949 in Hackensack, N.J. to Gary and Frances Smith VanTassel. She was a homemaker and the former owner of Fun Tours.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wayne Smith; her parents; three sons, D.J. (Lori) Smith, Scott Smith and Chad Smith; a daughter Anna (Nathan) Holcomb; a sister, Roxanne Drucker; four grandchildren, Sydni Smith, Landon Smith, Jesse Smith and Alexa Smith; and a niece, Michelle Drucker.

Shirley E. Wells
Memorial services for Shirley E. Wells, 82, of Cullman will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 3003 at Cullman Heritage Chapel.

Mrs. Wells died Thursday, Oct. 30 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1921 in Washington D.C. to Raymond V. and Marietta Boothby Burgess. She was a secretary and a member of the Elk's Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Daniel P. Wells Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Daniel Peyton III (Martha) Wells and Glenn R. Wells, both of Florida, Fred K. Wells of Panama City, Fla. and Gary (Martha) Wells of Cullman; a brother, Raymond V. (Sylvia) Burgess Jr. of Louisiana; and two grandchildren, Emily E. Wells and Bridget A. Wells.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (Lewy Body Disease), 1501 Northwest 9th Ave./Bob Hope Road, Miami, Fla. 33136.

Funeral services for Wynell Hooper Chambers, 75, of Holly Pond, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 at Redan Baptist Church, the Revs. David Chambers, Layne Howard, Tim Pinkard, Zacharee Howard and DeJaun Reese, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Vernie Haynes Hooper; her husband, L.D. Chambers; five brothers, Alfred, Tillman, Junior, Quinton and Winton Hooper; and two sisters, Naomi Hooper and Dorothy Dunn.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew (Delby) Chambers of Holly Pond; David (Renee) Chambers of Fairview; three daughters, Helen (Gordon) Smith of Holly Pond, Bobbie (Tim) Pinkard of Fairview and Kathy (Layne) Howard of Holly Pond; three sisters, Avilar Denny, Evyleaner King and Martha Smith; a brother, Alvin Hooper; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Survivors include four sons, Curtis (Earlene) Thomas, Cecil (Jenny) Thomas, Carl (Ginger) Thomas and Jerry (Jearl) Thomas, all of Holly Pond; two daughters, Frances (Bob) Cochran of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Betty (Miles) Kelley of Cullman; a brother, Dalton (Mavis) Duke of Kimberly; a sister, Betty McClendon of Arab; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Skinner died Saturday, Nov. 1, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Cullman to Wesley Samuel and Lella Jester Skinner. He was a self-employed carpenter and painter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Thurman Freeman Skinner, Nelson Charlie Skinner, Chester Cleo "C.C." Skinner, Garvis Arlin "G.A." Skinner and Troy Thurman Skinner; and four sisters, Lizzie Rodgers, Maglene Simmons, Dorothy Ransom and Ada Wood.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Joe (Cathy) Skinner and Thomas Edward "Tom" (Deane) Skinner; a daughter, Margaret Ann Bell; two brothers, Burvil "B.W." Skinner and Bueron M. "B.M." (Betty) Skinner; a sister, Beatrice Skinner (Oran) Graves; a sister-in-law, Movalene Brock Skinner; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard F. Patterson; a son, Billy Patterson; a sister, Pauline Smith; and three brothers, Melvin Henry, Millard Henry and Hollis Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. and Vada Reed Guthrie; her sister, Loney V. Schmale; and her brother, Lelton Guthrie.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Armstrong Gilley of Cullman; a son, Tommy Gilley of Cullman; a sister, Imogene Barnett of Hampton, Ga.; seven nephews; and eight nieces.
