Milas Thomas Anders
Funeral services for Milas Thomas Anders, 71, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003 at Willliams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Jack Joyner officiating, with Burial in Mission Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Anders died Thursday, Aug. 14 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1932 in Morgan County to Mertie Thomas and Emily Maze Anders. He was a Methodist minister and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Anders of Cullman and Timothy Anders of Birmingham; two daughters, Karen Serda and Brenda Davis, both of Gadsden; two brothers, Burton Anders and Hobert Anders, both of Cullman; two sisters, Opal Collins of Cullman and Elenora Wood of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Billy L. McCombs
Funeral services for Billy L. McCombs, 71, of Brooklyn, Miss. will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at Moore Funeral Home, with Burial in Mineral Springs Cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, Miss. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McCombs died Thursday, Aug. 14 at Forrest General Hospital. He was a crane operator for Price Brothers for 41 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Sportsman Lake Gun and Reel Club. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McCombs; a son, Greg McCombs; two brothers, Charles Weathers and Dale McCombs; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny McCombs of Dixie Community near Hattiesburg and Keith McCombs of Magee, Miss.; three daughters, Teresa Prather of Brooklyn, Anita Pope of Collins, Miss. and Connie Churchwell of Hattiesburg; a sister, Dolores Copher of Cullman; a brother, Joe Weathers of Dixie Community; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Winell D. "Tip" Waldrep, 80, of Cullman were Friday, August 15, 2003.

Mrs. Waldrep died Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 9, 1922 in Cullman County to Dewey H. and Ibbie J. Sharpton Davis. She worked in quality control at Nicholson File.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carlton Waldrep; step-mother, Doris Davis; and three sisters, Ruby Bradley, Billie Barnett and June Nix.
Survivors include a son, Douglas (Nina) Waldrep of Hiram, Ga.; three daughters, Charlotte (Ken) Kreps, Colleen Day, both of Cullman, and Cindy (Ronnie) Puckett of Crane Hill; three brothers, Jimmy Davis, Carol Davis, both of Hanceville, and Winfred Davis of Vinemont; a sister, Carolyn Hudson of Jones Chapel; 13 grandchildren, Dana Stidham, Jeni McDougal, Kim Kahler, Jerrell Waldrep, Chris Waldrep, Amber Waldrep, Jacob Puckett, Michael Kreps, Keith Mitchell, Wayne Waldrep, Stacey Kabir, Dustin Waldrep and Josh Puckett; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jereline C. Barnett
Graveside services for Jereline C. Barnett, 81, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003 at Fairview West Cemetery, with the Rev. Hugh Connell officiating.

Mrs. Barnett died Saturday, Aug. 16 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1921 in Trafford, Ala., to Oscar and Barbara Paige Jeffcott Cost.
She was preceded in death by her mother and husband, Raymond Everette Barnett.
Survivors include two sons, Charles (Jan) Barnett of Cullman and David Barnett of Birmingham; a host of nieces, nephews and her brothers- and sisters-in law.
Visitation was Saturday.

Mr. Chambers died Saturday, Aug. 16 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1914 to Claude and Boice Ogletree Chambers. He was a real estate developer and was in sales.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline "Polly" Grissom Chambers; two brothers, Kyle Chambers and Quieton Chambers; a sister, Jaunice Butcher; and special nurse, Tony Snow.

Ms. McNabb died Sunday, Aug. 17 at Cullman Health Care Center. She was born April 10, 1929 in Cullman County to Henry and Elizabeth Ellen Bontrager McNabb.

Survivors include four brothers, Herbert (Avadel) McNabb and Robert (Mildred) McNabb, both of Vinemont, Charles (Kathleen) McNabb and Billy (Barbara) McNabb, both of Cullman; a sister, Peggie (Allen) Roach of Vinemont; a sister-in-law, Maebell Casey of Baileyton; 10 nephews; and five nieces.

Sidney N. Graves
Funeral services for Sidney N. Graves, 81, of Hanceville were Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, with Burial in Graves Gap Cemetery in Hayden.

Mr. Graves died Saturday, Aug. 16 in Hanceville. He was born in Hayden on Dec. 19, 1921 to Webster and Carrie Reid Graves. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Graves of Hanceville; three daughters, Reba (Del) Denney of Eva, Nita (Mark) Garrett of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Mavis (Michael) Jenkins of Hayden; three grandchildren, Barry (Candy) Jenkins of Hayden, Josh (Angelina) Johnson of Colorado Springs and Samantha Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Lance Johnson and Souriya Johnson, both of Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Holmes died Saturday, Aug. 16, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1920 to Alford and Mary Turney Carnes. She was a nursing aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joseph Lee Holmes; a granddaughter, Linda Gail Holmes; five sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Holmes of Vinemont; a son, Roy Herbert Holmes; a daughter, Pearlena (Basil) Eargle; a daughter-in-law, Jewel Dean Holmes; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams died Sunday, Aug. 17 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Jefferson County on March 13, 1932 to James C. and Ethel Holmes Bice. She was a resident of the Eva community and member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she was a member of the Women's Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. James W. "Dub" Williams of Eva; a son, Rudy Michael Williams of Gainesville, Fla.; two daughters, Trudy Lebron Williams Stewart of Stevens Point, Wis. and Ramona Leigh Williams Lee of Eva; a sister, Estelle Guy of Columbiana; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Williams, Linus Morgan, W.T. Holmes, Kristopher Williams, Donnie Long, Sherman Henderson, Fermon Overstreet and Ronnie Guy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Marshall Eugene "Gene" Farley, 66, of Louisville, Tenn. will be Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery in Knoxville, Tenn.

Mr. Farley died Saturday, Aug. 16 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the
Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 13 and the VFW. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He retired from IBM as a quality engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Oneda Farley; a son, Marshall Eugene Farley Jr.; and a brother, Edward Farley.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie (Steve) Gray of Louisville, Tenn., and C.J. Smith of Nashville; a son, Robert (Hope) Farley of Destin, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Stone Farley of Sadieville, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Hunter Farley, Louise Farley, Taryn Sanchez, English Farley, Joshua Farley, Justin Farley, Tara Farley and Hanna Johnson; a great-grandchild, Jack Holden; and a brother, Kenneth (Mary) Farley of Cincinnati.

Mr. Young died Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. He was born in Blount County to Gervin H. and Lula McRae Young. He was a retired general mechanic for Hays International in Birmingham and was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Blountsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell R. Frachiseur Young; his parents; and two sisters, Freeda Hyde and Peggy Shean.
Survivors include a son, Rickie (Shirley) Young of Oneonta; three brothers, Arnon (Betty) Young of Birmingham, Sherrell (Maxine) Young of Oneonta and Earl (Betty) Young of Blountsville; and two sisters, Jean (Brice) Endsley and Doris (Bill) Amos, both of Blountsville.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hyde, Ned Hyde, John Hyde, Edwin Young, Tim Endsley and Rayburn Cargo.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
