Funeral services for Mary Dama Cunningham Martin, 52, of Addison will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Terry Phillips officiating, with Burial in Central Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Martin of Addison; three daughters, Heather Smith of Cullman, Jessica Martin and Julie Martin, both of Addison; a sister, Mildred Hess of Lakeland, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Tyler Smith.

John Shirley Heatherly
Funeral services for John Shirley Heatherly, 74, of Bremen will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, with Burial in Johnson Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Heatherly died Wednesday, July 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1929 to Oliver and Della Moore Heatherly. He was in the trucking business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Byron Heatherly; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Baker Heatherly; two sons, Rowland (Judy) Heatherly of Leeds and Kelvin (Robin) Heatherly of Bremen; two daughters, Ann (Albert) Heatherly Mayo of Warrior and Donna (Joe) McCluskey of Jasper; a brother, Fulton (Betty) Heatherly of Good Hope; two sisters, Audie Mize Sims of Arab and Wynell (Alver) Hancock of Florence; and six grandchildren, Jamie (Scott) Burnett, Kelsey Heatherly, Brian Hollis, Derek Heatherly, Jonathan McCluskey and Nicholas (Marilyn) Heatherly.

Mr. Martinez died in Hayden. He was born Oct. 6, 1975 in El Centro, Calif. He was a service technician for Tire Centers and a member of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church near Blountsville.
Survivors include his wife, Christy Sams Martinez of Holly Pond; a daughter, Shelby Martinez of Holly Pond; his father, John Martinez of California; his mother and stepfather, Olivia and Larry Bates of Joppa; a brother, John Martinez of Blountsville; and a brother, Billy Bates of Joppa.
Pallbearers will be Ray Dingler, Shane Bryson, John Holt, Barry Smith, James Marchman, Tim Smith and Smokey Underwood.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, July 28 at her residence. She was born in Jefferson County to Lorenzo D. and Annie Mae Ridgeway Yeager. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Sandy Yeager.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Smith of Blountsville; three sons, Anthony (Jennifer) Smith and Jeffery Smith, both of Blountsville, and Tim (Leslie) Smith of Holly Pond; two daughters, Shanna (Derek) King and April Smith, both of Blountsville; and four grandchildren.
Clifford Barnett Sr.

Mr. Barnett died Thursday, July 31 at his residence. He was born Feb. 5, 1935 in Cullman County to Josaph "Buck" and Leslie Jane Reed Barnett. He was a surveyor for Champion Paper Company. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Buchanan Barnett of Cullman; a son, Clifford Barnett Jr. of Cullman; five daughters, Deborah Morris of Orange County, Fla., Alice Kay Taylor, Milissa Sue (Joey) Phillips and Tracy Jo (Harold) Calvert, all of Cullman, and Sarah (Alford) Janiszewski of Adamsville; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Chaney died Wednesday, July 30 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born Nov. 25, 1923 in Lawrence County to Fad and Leomie Williams Chaney. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillie Shaw Chaney; two grandsons, Gary Dewayne Brown and Thad Jackson Morrow; a great-grandson, Jonathan Issac Ray Brown; a brother, Dave Talmadge Chaney; and three sisters, Lucy Tanksley, Ester Rogers and Edna Cooper.
Survivors include two sons, James Chaney of Vinemont and Hershel Morrow of Cullman; two daughters, Susie Brown of Vinemont and Jackie (Tim) Phillips of Georgia; two sisters, Lonner Cooper and Maggie Tanksley of Moulton; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Charlsie Buckard Bland; his son, Kenneth (Jane) Bland of Hanceville; a brother, Don Bland of Birmingham; three sisters, Dean Meeks of Birmingham, Francis Lee of Danville and Dorothy Devine of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Misty Stewart of Hanceville and Derek Bland of Hanceville; and three great-grandchildren, Vincent Stewart, Caleb Stewart and Madison Watson, all of Hanceville.

Albert Douglas Shelton
