Funeral services for Beulah May Galin, 83, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Hayes Oliver and Darrell Mosley officiating, with Burial in Crosses Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Galin died Tuesday, June 24 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born June 16, 1920 in Marshall County to David B. and Mattie May Tyler Edwards. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Everett Galin.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth D. (Geraldine) Tipton of Cullman; two grandchildren, Sheryl (Alan) Rusk of Logan and Cindy (Matt) Hays of Holly Pond; and four great-grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Rusk and Hanna and Druss Hays.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Wynona K. Thompson
Graveside services for Wynona K. Thompson, 45, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Cullman City Cemetery, Chuck Canterbury officiating.

Ms. Thompson died Tuesday, June 24 at her residence. She was born Nov. 23, 1957 in Cullman. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, William O. Thompson; her stepfather, J.D. Burns; and both sets of grandparents.
Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Burns of Cullman; a brother, William B. (Sandra) Thompson of Hoover; two stepbrothers, M.D. Burns and E.C. Burns of Crane Hill; and a sister, Nina T. (Phillip) Smith of Trussville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Margaret Jean Jones Center.
Rex Stewart
Graveside services for Rex Stewart, 63, of Mt. Olive, formerly of Holly Pond, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart died Tuesday, June 24 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1940 to Hugh L. and Venie Glasscock Stewart. He was in trucking sales and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Lovell Stewart of Mt. Olive; two daughters, Teresa Stewart of Gardendale and Rexanne Stewart Prescott of Mt. Olive; and four grandchildren, William Ellison, Christopher Prescott, Jennifer Prescott and Crystal Prescott.
Visitation was Wednesday.

Mr. Wise died Wednesday, June 25 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County Sept. 2, 1935 to Ottis and Juanita Daniel Wise.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Billy M. Wise.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wise of Cullman; his daughter, Sonya (Mike) Gibbs of Hanceville; a son, Tony (Patricia) Wise of Hanceville; a sister, Nelda (Kenneth) McClendon of Hanceville; a daughter-in-law, Donna Wise of Hanceville; and four grandchildren, Monica Gibbs, Tammy (John) Russell, Benjamin Wise and Erin Wise.

Mr. Glasscock died Thursday, June 26 in Cullman. He was born in Cullman County on Sept. 29, 1929 to William O. and Minnie Mobley Glasscock.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Glasscock; two grandsons, Sam Hicks and David Keith Glasscock; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Horsley Glasscock of Hanceville; three daughters, Carolyn (Shannon) Cecil of Cullman, Cindy (Robin) Conn of Huntsville and Charlotte (Phillip) Hicks of Hanceville; a son, Keith (Teresa) Glasscock of Hanceville; two sisters, Ezma Black of Cullman and Odell Sullins of Hanceville; two brothers, John Glasscock of Crane Hill and Oscar Glasscock of Burton, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Shane Cecil, Shawn Cecil, April Cochran, Alexandria Conn, Collin Glasscock, Sara Hicks and Scott Hicks.

Mrs. West died Thursday, June 26 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Morgan County on May 12, 1924 to Ted and Nellie Light Jenkins. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard West; her sister, Marie Grisom; her brother, Willie Jenkins; a grandson, Eric Long; and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Snyder.
Survivors include two sons, James "Jabo" (Carol) West and Charles Curtis (Elizabeth) West of Jones Chapel; a daughter, Opal V. (Ken) Lyle of Kentucky; four brothers, Tommy (Barbara) Jenkins, Harold (Wynelle) Jenkins, Louis (Inez) Jenkins, all of Cullman and Ted (Maxine) Jenkins of Florida; and a sister, Pansy (Dewel) White of Cullman; two grandchildren, Barbara (John) Snyder of Montevallo and Jamie (Amie) West of Jones Chapel; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Burnham; and a daughter, Peggy Goodwin.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra (Verlon) Story of Welti, Robin (Todd) Martin of Arab and Kim (Blake) Ramey of Hartselle; nine grandchildren, Craig Story, Kasey Goodwin, Erin Martin, Diane Rawson, Lanse Goodwin, Seth Ramey, Jennifer Light, Michael Martin and Sarah Ramey; and five great-grandchildren, Alan-Michael Smith, Zach Rawson, Austin Story, Austin Rawson and Brentley Rawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frankie Stewart; and a son, James Stewart.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Stewart of Cullman and Johnny Stewart of Morris; four grandchildren, Cindy Armstrong, Regina Butler, Julie Jasper and Tracey Stewart; and three great-grandchildren, Brianna Jasper, Jake Jasper and Tyler Stewart.

Mrs. Blalock died Friday, June 27 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born April 8, 1912 to Clarence and Sarah Francis Faulkner Greer . She was retired with 34 years in the education field.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewie E. Blalock; son, Darrell Nix Blalock; and brother, Charles Greer.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Dwight) Griffin of Hartselle; daughter-in-law, Melanie Blalock of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Clay Collins Griffin of Birmingham, Evan Corey (Erica) Griffin of Toney, Ingrid Shawn Blalock, Todd (Maggie) Blalock, both of San Diego, Calif.; two great-grandchildren; nephew, James (Faye) Greer of Vernon; two great-nephews, Mike (Mary Kaye) Greer, Mark (Barbara) Greer; two great-great-nephews; and two great-great-nieces.

Survivors include her husband, William Durell Thornton; two daughters, Janet (Daniel) Moody and Jennifer (Jarrod) Glover; a brother, Tommy Parker; a sister, Carolyn Jett; and four grandchildren, Kallen Moody, Trace Moody, Victoria Glover and Hollie Glover.

Mr. Sandlin died Thursday, June 26 at his residence. He was born May 25, 1924 to Calvin and Perlie Stricklin Sandlin. He was a farmer and worked in construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ozella Vandiver; and a brother, Harlan Sandlin.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Baker Sandlin of Bremen; two sons, Ronnie (Marie) Sandlin of Crane Hill and Greg Sandlin of Bremen; a daughter, Jan (Robert) Williams of Crane Hill; two sisters, Lorene Sanford and Evelyn Bates, both of Bremen; six grandchildren, Brandon (Pam) Williams, Brett (Kaci) Williams, Matthew Sandlin, Jeff Sandlin, Alicia Sandlin and Ashia Sandlin; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Williams and Brodi Williams.

Fred Martin 'Pops' Hale

Mr. Hale died Thursday, June 26 at his residence. He was born Oct. 10, 1910 to Johnson Benjamin and Della Roberts Hale. He was a member of The Flying Fifty, an organization that helped bring the King Edward Cigar Plant to Cullman. He was in Kiwanis for more than 50 years and a member of the Cullman Masonic Lodge and Shriners for 57 years. He worked for the Borden's Ice Cream Company for more than 40 years until he retired. He was burgermeister for Oktoberfest in 1995. He was a member of First Baptist Church since 1948 when he came to Cullman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Venice Burns Hale; three brothers, J.B., Hugh and Bobby Hale; and a sister, Virginia Macon.
Survivors include a daughter, Dottie Hale Batemon; a sister, Edith White of Interlocking, Fla.; two grandchildren, Doug Batemon II and Dawn (Jayson) Greer; four great-grandchildren, Dewey Batemon III, Martin Greer, and twins, Carson and Ida Lee Greer; and extended family member, Kim.
