Funeral services for Mildred Martin, 92, of Hackneyville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hackneyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2003.
Mrs. Martin died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Russell Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be announced later by Radney's Funeral Home.
William Darby Smith
1955-2003
Funeral services for William Darby Smith, 47, of Kellyton will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Corinth Baptist Church. The Rev. Jimmy L. Brooks will officiate. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Aug. 4, 2003, at Russell Medical Center. He was born Aug. 22, 1955, to Annie Lee Hill.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Lee Hill and step-father, Edgar Hill, both of Kellyton; one sister, Sheeley Harrell and husband James of Kellyton; one brother, Horace Curtis and wife Lisa of Goodwater; three aunts, Ola Mae Curtis of Florida, Virginia Roy and Mable Darby, both of Kellyton; a special friend, Liz Gaddis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harold Ray "Acie" Shivers
1926-2003
Funeral services for Harold Ray "Acie" Shivers, 76, of Alexander City will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Heritage Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Max Cummings will officiate. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Shivers died Aug. 8, 2003, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Tallapoosa County to Robert Clinton and Rosa Ellen Lewis Shivers. He was employed by the Highway Department and worked in road construction.
He is survived by three daughters, Judy Vickers and her husband Cohen, Lavell Malone and her husband Frank and Linda Austin and her husband Dough Autrey all of Alexander City; one sister, Peggy Shivers Smith and her husband Ben of Alexander City; five grandchildren, Mike Malone, Krissy Hahn, Amy Hall, Lee Kelly and Daniel Kelly; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers, Wade, James, Jack, John and Hugh Shivers.

Francis Sims Tucker
1919-2003
Francis Sims Tucker, 83, of Camp Hill died on Aug. 8, 2003. He was born on Nov. 20, 1919, and was a member of the Camp Hill Universalist Church. He was a pharmacist at Tucker Drug Store in Camp Hill for 44 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary W. Tucker of Camp Hill; two sons, Charles Tucker and his wife Mary Wall of Henderson, N.C., and Jim Tucker and his wife Marion of Fairhope; and six grandchildren.

Lera Gertrude Bush
1906-2003
Funeral services for Lera Gertrude Bush, 97, of Rockford will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Swamp Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Elders J.D. Morris and D.M. Hornsby will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at her residence from 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, to noon Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, and at the church for one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Bush died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. She was born Jan. 5, 1906, in Coosa County to William Preston and Minnie Allen Woodfin. She was a member of Swamp Creek Primitive Baptist Church and worked as a homemaker and as a school bus driver for the Coosa County Board of Education.
She is survived by one son, E.W. Bush of Alexander City; one daughter, Nellie Ferguson of Rockford; two brothers, Clyde Woodfin of Rockford and Allen Woodfin of Deatsville; one sister, Vonnie Popwell of Sylacauga; six grandchildren, LaJean Guthery and Danny Bush, both of Rockford, Nancy Heck of Pearl River, La., George Ferguson of Florida, Earl Eugene Bush of Montgomery and David Bush of Houston, Texas; 16 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Osie E. Bush and her parents.

Infant Matthews died Aug. 7, 2003, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born Aug. 7, 2003.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Yohantas Matthews of Camp Hill; three sisters, Yohantas Kyre Greathouse, Eboni Matthews and Sara Matthews, all of Camp Hill; four brothers, Branden Matthews, Byron Matthews, Omar Matthews and Caleb Matthews, all of Dadeville, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003.
Mr. Barrett died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at his residence. He was born Nov. 20, 1933, to John Wesley and Pearl Porter Barrett. He worked as an electrician for Russell Corp. for 39 years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vertice Keel Barrett of Alexander City; three sons, Stephen Barrett and Timothy Barrett and wife Brenda, all of Alexander City, and Stanley Barrett and wife Janet of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; one daughter, Deborah Mask and husband Tommy of Alexander City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Barrett of Sumiton and Ray Barrett of Lamar County; six sisters, Eulene Bryant of Oneonta, Emma Parker and Erma Johnson, both of Kennedy, and Catherine Worthy, Jean Thompson and Jane Cannon, all of Fayette.
