Funeral services for B.J. Rainwater, 66, of Jackson, Ga., will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. James Cullins officiated. Burial followed at Hillview Memorial Park with veteran's honors. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
Mr. Rainwater died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Veteran's Administration Hospital in Atlanta. He was born June 30, 1937, in Tallapoosa County to John Bill and Maudie Hand Rainwater. He worked in real estate, was an Air Force veteran having served from 1958 to 1962, and graduated from Hackneyville High School. He was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by one son, Barry Rainwater of Florida; two daughters, Susan Price and Margo Gunder, both of Manchester, Ga.; his mother, Maudie H. Rainwater of Alexander City; two brothers, John O. Rainwater of Newnan, Ga., and James E. Rainwater of Alexander City and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Burner E. Jones, 92, of Kellyton were at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. Bros. Ellis Jackson and Wayne Cowhick officiated. Burial followed at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003.
Mrs. Jones died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Russell Medical Center. She was born April 16, 1911, in Dawson to Ocie D. and Minitia Carrol Stone. She was a member of the True Holiness Church and worked as a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Joyce Price of Kellyton; four grandchildren, Wanda T. Lamoure, Glynn Price and wife Sharon, Lynn Price and Cary Price and wife Katrina, all of Kellyton; six great-grandchildren, Beth Price, Scotty Price, Brooke Price, Nick Price, Abbie Price and Emily Price; four brothers, T.J. Stone and Buddy Stone, both of Alexander City, Ocie Stone of Sylacauga, and Joseph Stone of Albertville; two sisters, Opal Bramblett of Goodwater and Daisy Mahan of Alexander City.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Samuel N. Jones; three daughters, Mary Loyce Jones, Audrey B. Turner and Audrice D. Jones, and her parents.

Bobby W. Bailey

Funeral services for the Rev. Bobby W. Bailey, 65, of Alexander City were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Bob Nelson, George Stewart and Pastor Bill Howard officiated. Burial followed at Hillview Memorial Park. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
Rev. Bailey died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga. He was born July 14, 1938, in Tallapoosa County to Emmett E. and Mollie Gaston Bailey. He served as pastor of Candler Mountain Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bonnett Bailey of Alexander City; one son, Jamie Bailey and wife Sabrina of Alexander City; one daughter, Jennifer Brewer and husband Michael of Lexington, S.C.; two grandchildren, Hunter Bailey and Kaitlyn Bailey, both of Alexander City; one brother, the Rev. Donald Bailey of Alexander City; four sisters, Sarah Vernon, Peggy Woodruff and Gloria Turner, all of Alexander City, and Billie Browning of Owensboro, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Bruce Bailey and Pam Bailey; one brother, Charles E. Bailey Sr., and one sister, Mary Nell Brown.

Funeral services for Shirley Colley, 65, of New Site will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Long will officiate. Burial will follow at New Providence Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003.
Mrs. Colley died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 12, 1938, to Ronald Roby and Margery Hurley. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of New Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Debra S. Colley of New Site, Lisa E. Staggs and Brenda L. Staggs, both of Dover, Fla., Laura Hartman of Alexander City and Margery Jodway of Daviston; two sons, Daniel J. Colley of Plant City, Fla., and James R. Colley of New Site; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her mother, Margery Hurley of South Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, Larry Roby of Kearney, Neb.; three sisters, Ellen Conley of Sioux City, Iowa, Janice Priester of Kearney, Neb., and Betty Housh of Eugene, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James B. Colley; two sons, Robert Ronald Lanagan and James Alfred Lanagan; and her father, Ronald Roby.

Emma Frances Coker Allen

Funeral services for Emma Frances Coker Allen, 80, of New Site were at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Bennie Peacock and Randy Anderson officiated. Burial followed at Bethlehem-New Salem Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
Mrs. Allen was born June 29, 1923, in Eagle Creek to Ernest Clay and Achic Harris Coker. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she was active in WMU. She also was a member of the New Site Senior Citizens Group and had worked as a folder at Russell Corp.
She is survived by one son, Harlan Coker Allen and wife Elaine of New Site; three grandchildren, Felicia A. Brown and husband Wesley and Clay Allen, all of New Site, and Jamie Allen of Montgomery; one great-grandchild, Rodney Brown of New Site; two brothers, Wilford Coker and wife Mildred of Valley and Bernard Coker and wife Melva Dean of Eagle Creek; three sisters, Olgie Potts of Sommerset, Ky., Genell Jackson of Alexander City and Marcell Berry and husband Maurice of Dadeville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joe Allen; her parents, and two sisters, Lullene Coker and Eddie Evers.

Katherine D. Haynie

Funeral services for Katherine D. Haynie, 74, of New Site will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at New Salem Baptist Church. The Revs. David Tuten and Jimmy Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethlehem-New Salem Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, and at the church for one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Haynie died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 23, 1929, to Claude and Bessie Wheller Causey. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was active in WMU. She was also a member of Circle of Friends.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joe L. Haynie of New Site; three sons, Judson Elliot and Sammy Elliott, both of Eclectic, and Scott Haynie of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Elizabeth Wassman and husband Bill of Theodore; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Butch Causey of Wetumpka and Malory Causey of Fayetteville, N.C., and one sister, Barbara Bently of Charlotte, N.C.

Graveside services for Justine Neighbors White, 82, of Cuthbert, Ga., will be at 11 a.m. at East View Cemetery. The Revs. Tom McClendon and Henry Hogan will officiate.
Mrs. White died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert, Ga. She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Alexander City to Alvah L. and Sara Conaway Neighbors. She was the wife of the late James Mitchell White and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cuthbert, Ga, where she was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two sons, Lamar White and Jimmy White, both of Cuthbert, Ga.; two daughters, Ester White of Cuthbert, Ga., and Anita Sawyer of Coleman, Ga.; four brothers, John Neighbors, Joe Neighbors and Gene Neighbors, all of Alexander City, and Larry Neighbors of Thomaston, Ga.; three sisters, Pat Thompson and Melba Hagan, both of Alexander City, and Virginia Windham of Elba, and two grandsons, Josh White of Cuthbert, Ga., and Charles Sawyer of Coleman, Ga.
